A virus had spread. People from all over the world had gotten sick quickly. Medical research centers had tried to stop it, but by then it had spread too much. This was a virus that brought people back from the dead. This was an apocalypse.

Personality: Alessa never had an easy life. Her parents were always fighting until they finally got divorced. Neither parent had paid much attention to her. She would rather spend time by herself, or with animals. She has always been isolated from people, but that wasn't because she was shy and timid. She can come off as rude, intimidating, or disinterested when you first meet her. No one bothered her, and she didn't bother anyone. It can be hard to get to know her, but when you do, she can be outgoing, caring and sweet. She can get fiercely protective over the ones she loves, and doesn't take nonsense from anyone.

Jo stalked the streets of the abandoned city. A backpack slung on her shoulder, filled with supplies she scavenged for. She was currently on the hunt for water since she had only one bottle left. She saw a gas station up ahead and began to jog to get there, she hadn't seen any walkers( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) yet. She reached the gas station safely and carefully opened the door. She made a short shushing sound so any walker inside would hear, but no moans came. She walked around the store grabbing some items that may be helpful. "Jackpot." She whispered to herself seeing a group of 10 water bottles. She scooped them into her bag and scavenged around the rest of the store.

Alessa pulled up to a gas station. She parked on the side of the road and walked up to the convenience store. She aimed her handgun in case there were any walkers inside. She opened the door, wincing when it squeaked. Alessa closed it behind her and began to walk through the aisles. She kept alert for any signs of movement or sounds. She didn't hear any snarls or footsteps. She grabbed a few items on the shelves, but there were pretty much bare.

The only other useful item she found was some advil that hadn't expired yet. "This could be useful" She murmurs to herself. She leaves the gas station heading down the street further into the unknown city. Sam trotted quietly next to her being alert and ready to fight. She spotted a walker and quickly hid behind a suv, thankfully it hadn't noticed her and kept walking by. Sam behaved himself and stayed quiet. After it had long pasted by she up and continued on her path.
