"or I could get extremely unlucky like my parents. Dad is from italy, moms from here. She had to post online. She was lucky enough to find him. They were long distance till he moved here. I couldn't do that." He frowned a the thought of never finding his soul mate. "Do you have your mark yet? Wait, no. You can't because if it was you, we'd already know!"

"jeez, that sounds rough, but at least they found each-other eventually." He smiled. "Well no..." he said as he fiddled with his arm sleeve. "My birthday isn't until tomorrow." he chuckled. "I'll have to stay up all night to see my mark though, I was born at 2:37 in the morning." he sighed. he really wasn't sure what he expected when getting his mark. would his soulmate be someone he knew, or someone in a situation like curtis' parents?

As if Curtis read his mind; "But fortunately we have the internet in this day and age. My parents didn't. It's a lot easier to find your soul mate because of all the online stuff." He smiled. "Woah, back to back birthdays? That's pretty cool. Staying up doesn't sound too fun. I'm fortunate to be born so early in the day." Through he snorted. "My mom hated the fact I was born during the day. She wanted me to be a midnight baby so badly."

cyrus laughed. the internet seemed to be the solution to everything. "it would have been nice to be born early in the day, but i suppose you can't choose when you're born" he said with a shrug. "i don't know if i'm more excited or scared about getting my soulmate, i just honestly hope it isn't a girl. i suppose the system knows what it's doing, though." he paused. "anyway, when do you think your soulmate will turn 18?" he said and lifted an eyebrow.

"No idea. Could be a week, a month, or even years unfortunately. But from what I know, they're usually only 2-3 years apart at the most. So who knows." He tilted his head. "So you're into guys? That's cool. I don't really care who my soul mate is, as long as they love me and all that cheese." He smiled. "What about you? Do you think you're gonna be younger or older than your soul mate?"

"yeah, i just don't really click with girls." he smiled "i don't know, and i really don't mind, but i hope they're at least close to the same age. I wouldn't mind a few months apart, but waiting for 2-3 years sounds insane" he laughed once more "but i suppose with my luck i'll end up being the younger one. though it wouldn't be too bad, because that means they already have their mark." he replied with a shrug.

"Well I guess that's a good point!" He said. "I'm fortunate to know that I'm older, so when mine finishes I know I can start looking. For now I'm just gonna sit back and relax." Curtis smiled as the bell rang. "Hey, I'm glad we met. Do you want my number or something? Maybe you can text me a picture of your tattoo in the morning or whatever. I'd love to see it." Curtis already started writing his number down on a piece of paper, then handed it to him. "See ya around, Cyrus."

"well good luck waiting." cyrus said with a laugh. "i'll probably text you in the morning to show you" he took the piece of paper from curtis' hand and pocketed it. "nice meeting you." he said as he walked away. now he just had to wait for the next day to see his mark.

2:35. march 15th. he would get his mark soon. it was his exact birthdate soon and he was prepared. he had worn clothes optimal
for seeing where the mark would be. 2:36. it was almost time for his mark and he sucked in a breath. 2:37. he waited. a few seconds later his forearm began glowing and after a few seconds there was a tattoo. the glow was gone and he saw what shocked him. the same tattoo curtis had gotten. he was shocked to say the least. he pulled out his phone and looked at the piece of paper, typing in curtis' number. he then sent a simple text

"you must be a psychic or something."

Curtis had been deep into his sleep. The loud buzzing of his phone woke him up. He took a moment to rub his eyes and stretch, then he reached to his night stand and grabbed his phone. He saw a new number; completely forgetting that he had given his own to Cyrus earlier in the day. Curtis sighed softly and texted back; [What do you mean? Who is this? ]

he hadn't expected a reply back so he quickly rolled over and grabbed the phone off of the table next to his bed. what do you mean? who is this? it read. cyrus laughed and texted back while rolling his eyes "sorry it's cyrus, and look at the time" he eyed the time on his phone, it was 2:45, it had only been minutes since he had gotten his tattoo. it felt weird though, talking to his supposed soulmate, whom he had only really met earlier that day.
