Lucas changed into his dark suit as quickly as he could, not wanting his father angrier than he already was. The suit fit perfectly, and he made a mental note to do something to repay his tailor. He then combed his hair so that it would like nice and he balanced his crown on his head, hating how snug it was against his skull. He then left his room and headed out of the castle quickly, meeting his parents out front and getting inside of the carriage. It then started off towards their neighboring kingdom.

Once they were finished, she felt like the torture wouldn't end. She thought the makeup just covered her own personality, hiding the caring, and kind girl that she really was, making her look like a self-absorbed brat. She sighed, walking out of her room her parents were surprisingly waiting out of her door.

"You look splendid darling!" Her mother beamed.

Lucas hated taking long trips in carriages with his parents. They always just talked about the kingdom and about things that he was in the dark about. He would always ask what they were talking about and then they would just brush him off, leaving him to sit silently the whole way. He could see his kingdom growing distant as he gazed out of the window.

She shifted slightly,"Thank you mother..." Her gaze drifted she could hear the maids chattering to each other, she didn't know what about, but it was about something. They were giggling so she knew it was gossip.

"What's wrong darling," her mom asked.

"Nothing, mother..."

Lucas decided to try and integrate himself into a conversation with his parents. "So what kingdom are we going to?" He asked them, realizing that he had never actually heard where they were going to.

"The Kingdom of Sheria." His mother responded.

Lucas then nodded. "Oh... alright." He said, resting his elbow against the door and then his chin on his hand.

Her mother and father then quickly guided her to the entrance to the ballroom. She had only been there a couple times, for royal events and whatnot.

"This is where you will stand until everyone arrives, and then you'll be free to chat with whomever..."

Lucas' parents went back to discussing matters between themselves and he just looked out of the window, enjoying the scenery. He had tuned his parents out at this point, and was quite content with just enjoying looking around.

Alyssa huffed, but nodded softly. She gazed outside, it had become darker than when she had been outside. She knew it was a matter of time before guests would arrive.

Their carriage was becoming close to the kingdom. Lucas could see the castle from out of the window, and it didn't look that far away. He was tugging at the edge of his shirt nervously; it had been a while since he had been to a ball.

She straightened her crown. It had been slipping off of her head which would be embarrassing for her mother and father, but it didn't matter to her. She sighed as she stood there, seeing the sun set, it was beautiful, a magnificent array of colors, blue, orange, purple, black, pink.
