She looked at him with a soft smile,"I wish I could feel the same way, but I've only glimpsed at the village and that was only for a minute before I ran away, and that was just today..."

He placed a hand on her arm gently. "Hopefully your parents will let you out more. And you'll get used to it. It's awfully strange at first, I'll agree, I ran into the woods the first time I went out."

She nodded looking over at him,"It must be nice... I mean, being able to go outside, at least your parents let you even go outside..."

"Yes... I guess it is nice." He said, nodding a little. "Sometimes it's not though... there's always that odd civilian who tries to hurt me, s-so that's a bit scary sometimes."

She sighed,"That sounds horrible Lucas..."

"It's only happened a couple times... It's not that big of a deal." He said quietly.

She looked at him with soft eyes,"But as your friend I think it's a big deal..."

“I’ve never really gotten hurt badly, though.” He said, rubbing his arm a little where his father had hurt him.

She nodded, looking down at her hands. She looked back up as she scanned the garden with a deep sigh.
