Clifford was at his locker, staring in it blankly. He wore a baggy hoodie today, and had large bags under his eyes. Everyone had been asking him to see his new tattoo, but he wasn't very fond of the idea yet. Kiki had been giving him awkward looks in the halls whenever he passed by. Cliff had not gotten any sleep that night; since he was up waiting for his tattoo, then feeling miserable for treating Juno the way he did.

juno walked down the hallway, keeping to the sides. he hated school, the only friend he had was cliff. why did he need anybody else? he suddenly ran into something, or rather someone. the head of the football and wrestling team. i know, cliche. but it happpened. he quickly felt himself being pushed into the lockers, an elbow colliding with his gut. "get out of the way, idiot!" the larger man yelled.

The loud thud of the locker woke Cliff up from his spacing. He looked to his right to see the commotion, and quickly snapped into action. He ran over to Juno and the jock. "Hey, Spencer. Knock it off." Clifford shoved him to the side, and stood in front of Juno to protect him.

spencer scoffed. "get out of the way clifford. this doesn't concern you." he said and pushed him. he grabbed juno by the shirt, who looked worried. 'what if cliff hurts himself because of me?' juno was thinking. suddenly his head collided with the locker and his vision went black. spencer snickered and continued to push the small man against the locker.

"Actually, it does Spencer. Juno is my best friend. Now go back to your stupid jock buddies!" Cliff heard Juno fall to the floor and he spun around, eyes full of shock. "You a**hole!" Cliff turned and faced Spencer, punching him straight in the jaw.
Then he looked down at his fist, surprised at what he did. Then turned and quickly picked up Juno, carrying him to the nurse.

spencer was on the ground, his face bleeding by the time they left. the nurse noticed the two soulmates and quickly examined juno, who slowly started to regain consciousness. "he has a concussion." she stated and walked out to get more materials. juno frowned painfully and reached up, lightly touching his head before he hissed in pain. some of his vision was still splotchy.

Cliff grabbed his hand. "Don't touch that," He said gently. "it's gonna be okay, the nurse will fix you." Cliff was starting to recall how not fun concussions are.

juno looked around then remembered what happened. "are you okay?!" he suddenly asked and looked him over. "if he hurt you i will kill him." he said and winced when he moved his head in the wrong direction.

"Yes, im okay. Be careful!" Cliff warned. "If I'm gonna be honest I have no idea where he's at or his current condition. I punched him." Cliff frowned, knowing that punch might cost him.
