She smiled softly,"Thanks..." Her eyes were a darker shade of blue, again unlike her parents, except these were natural, she didn't need to change her eyes to fit in, she could keep them as they were, she was an outcast in the Vampire world, but in the human world, strangely, she felt as if she fit in.

Damien smiled slightly, a twinkle of delight in his eyes. Horrendous as he was in general interaction, he was always happy to see others, well... happy. “Not that I want to cut this short, but did they send us here to just meet each other, or do they have another trick up their sleeve?" He asked, hoping not to offend her. He had hardly been told anything by his parents, and barely listened to what little they told him.

"I don't know, honestly," Cadence frowned, scanning around the abandoned area,"Not like my parents would tell me though, I didn't let them see me last night, and all they do is sleep during the day..."

He groaned at the thought of parents. His were a huge headache, hers sounded like one too. “My parents are also pretty... eugh. I was raised to be proper. Dainty. I suppose they had wanted a girl, rather than me." He snorted, but it sounded more like a scoff. “I mean, I’m not competing over who has worse parents.” He chuckled dryly, awkwardly.

"That's obviously not what we're doing, it would be good to learn about each others parents, even if they are horrible..." She said,"My parents expected more of a vampirish girl, not a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes, my parents can hardly be around me because of how positive I am, unless I don't get sleep..."

He groaned at the thought of parents. His were a huge headache, hers sounded like one too. “Oh, jeez. I didn’t know vampires were so..." He paused, trying to form together a sentence. “vampire-y. If that makes sense and isn’t mean.” He finished. “I was raised to hate vampires, so sorry if I’m rough around the edges.” He apologized, rubbing his arm in embarrassment.

He frowned, crossing his arms at the thought of someone telling her that. “Well, as your official boyfriend-or-whatever, I’ll fight anyone who looks at you funny." Damien announced jokingly, though he still sounded determined. “I mean, I can’t fight, and that would be bad, so... I’ll just... protect you!!” He responded, perked up with a spark of determination.

She chuckled,"Thanks Damien..." She was relieved it hadn't turned out the way she thought it would turn out. The meeting was going way better than she thought,"So to make it clear... You don't think I'm weird or anything... Right?"
