Shutting the door behind them, Loki took a deep breath. The fresh air felt nice on his face. It felt like forever since he’s been out of the den, except for when he had to chase after Echo when she had tried to escape. But that had only lasted around two minutes. From his den, they could see some of the other dens as well as a few pack members hanging around. “Lead the way.” She must’ve had a den or some sort of shelter herself. She was probably longing for it at that very moment. As long as it wasn’t on another pack’s territory, maybe they could stop by it. She could grab any belongings she had. But she would have to say goodbye to it.

Jinx barely nodded in response, not being able to say a word. He was hugging her a little too tightly. All the air had been squeezed out of her lungs. Was the moon goddess trying to kill her? She got paired with one of the strongest pack members. No matter what she did, how much she ate, or how much she tried to get stronger, her body still remained in its fragile state. Was she cursed? Her name was Jinx after all. She questioned this pairing: the omega and the beta. It didn’t sound right. Had there been a mistake? No, her inner wolf was definitely drawn to him. “I really hope I’m not a burden,” she whispered. Had she said that out loud? Hopefully he hadn’t heard that

"wait.. I don't kn-" she stopped herself "okay well.." she murmured as she walked towards the river end of the territory.. "I used to sneak around here when times were desperate.. I almost got caught once. But I escaped" she told " it was funny.. I thought I scented you here one time and that's what almost got me caught.". She scoffed "if it wasn't for your scent I would've had a meal for that week." she scratched her head as she felt something cold and wet touch it.. Rain.. The rain was coming on.. It slowly dropped onto her skin and her hair making it cold yet soothing as it fell

" if anything I'm. A bourdon.. I'm a pain and I know it. I'm. The bossy beta that no one likes. Not even his own mate." his lips twitch as he tried not to snarl at nothing. He let's out a shaky sigh before walking around her.. He changed very quickly but didn't care if she looked. They were mates. They'd see it one way or another. His blunt attitude had caused him to get in fights all his life and he had plenty of scars and bruises from those fights.. He let out a huff and a growl very quickly as he fixed his messy damp hair

Loki followed and sniffed the air for any scent trails. He listened to Echo’s story and rose both eyebrows. “Really? I had no idea. Well now you won’t miss any meals,” Loki said while jokingly nudging her. A raindrop landed on his arm. Thinking it was a bug, Loki lifted his arm to look at the spot where it had landed. Water? Looking up, the sky was a light grayish color, but it turned into a darker gray ahead of them. He had gotten the feeling that it would rain when he had stepped outside. He liked the rain. When he had been younger, he’d play in the rain. “Hm… Do you want to keep going in the rain, or head back?” He asked Echo while sitting down on a nearby boulder.

Jinx shook her head. “N-no you aren’t. I’m sure everyone’s going to hate me because I’m the omega who suddenly gets to be the beta. While everyone works hard to become stronger to get a higher rank, I just get to become to the beta without doing anything.” Rubbing her arms, she stared down at the ground. Would this really be okay? She had been a target before, but now she’d be an even bigger target. It used to just be the lower ranks who picked on her because they weren’t strong enough to challenge the stronger members. They did it to feel better about themselves. Now the stronger members who never paid attention to her before would be after her now too. She glanced over to see where Blaise had gone, but quickly turned her head away, her face read in embarrassment. It was going to take awhile to get used to all of this.

She let out a small warning growl when he nudged her. Her nose wrinkled for as long as the contact lasted... Thankfully it was a split second thing. "yeah.. I guess" she looked almost calm as she watched the clouds ahead.. Continuing walking with her "mate" she felt a sense of relaxation from this. No confined bedrooms. Only the free open. As for the question he asked "you can go if you want. I like the rain" echo said as she closed her eyes with her nose to the rainy clouds.. Letting the cold water hit her skin. Little did she know this was something he and her had in common.. "it's.. Nice"

He places his hands on her shoulders as he listened to her talk "you earned it by being born at the right time." he said to her with a small smile "and because luna wanted us to come together.." luna.. Or the moon.. Was a common thing used in ceremonies and prayer. The moon was their almost leader that they worshiped.. It was believed that when a good wolf dies they become a star. The closer you are to luna the greater you are." oh also. No one can lay a finger on you or say anything to you. I've already told them it's punishable by beating." he said firmly

Loki lifted his eyebrows at her response. “Well, you're not the only one.” Loki put his hand over his eyes to block any rain from getting into his eyes as he glanced up towards the sky. A cool breeze swooped in, tousling his hair. Loki jumped down from the rock and walked forward a little bit, turning on his heel to face her. “And I can’t just leave you out here alone. I don’t want to give my mate the perfect chance to make a clear escape.” His wolf let out a low whimper at the thought, and his eyes filled with sadness for a split second. It happened so quickly, that one would’ve had to have been looking into his eyes to see it. “Anyway, we can play in the rain together!” His eyes lit up as memories from his childhood surfaced.

His words were reassuring. She managed a tiny smile back at him. He was so much taller than her, she had to crane her neck to be able to meet his eyes. She suddenly felt uncomfortable with him having his hands on her shoulders. She shifted awkwardly and glanced away. Looking back at him when he spoke again, her jaw nearly dropped open. “Y-you… No one can even speak to me!?” Not that it was a bad thing, but it was kind of astonishing. She was the worst at maintaining a conversation for more than three seconds without stuttering everywhere.

She growled at him when he mentioned escape. That was her plan.. To find any way to get away from this alpha.. She turned to him and sighed "playing is for pups. I don't partake in it.." she said as she walked toward the river. She stepped over it using the stones then shifted into a wolf. She sniffed in the wet grass but the rain was masking the scents.. Making it all smell of pine and flowers. Frustrated, she turned to loki" what now? Do we wander till we find food? Or starve? " her wolf looked as skinny as her human. Her winter coat sloppily hanging off her as if she hadn't bothered taking care of it and her eyes were the same odd colours

" yes and no.. They can only be good to you I'll kill Half the pack if I need to.." he muttered as he fixed himself.. He dropped his hands and walked into the kitchen "if you're hungry there's meat in the fridge and freezer.. I don't expect you to cook and clean for me. I do it for myself. I'm. Independent and I like having my independence"

Loki chuckled at her response to them playing in the rain together. Nothing like rolling in the mud (in wolf form of course). Loki stayed up on the boulder, watching her curiously as she walked down towards the river. He frowned when she shifted into her wolf form. It resembled her in a lot of ways - the eyes especially. She was so skinny... Being a rogue must've been rough for her. Now she was the alpha's mate and just about everything would easily be handed to her. He could only imagine how hard it was for her to adjust to this life. But be wasn't going to let her go that easily. "Most of the prey would be taking shelter from the rain. If we can't find out where they're hiding, we probably won't catch anything." Loki hopped off the rock and strolled over. "Unless... you want to fish?" Loki smirked as he looked into the water. Fish came towards the surface when it rained, so they were bound to catch something.

With that threat, the other pack members would rather steer away from her than interact with her. She didn't mind that, she preferred to be left alone. "Okay." She had never learned to cook or clean properly. Cleaning looked pretty simple and easy to learn, however cooking on the other hand... If she tried to cook, then she'd probably burn the whole forest down. Every living creature that lived out there would be out to get her. Yeah, she'd stay away from the kitchen. Watching Blaise, she hesitated for a second, wondering if she should ask him the question that popped up until her mind or not. "Blaise... What did you think about me before... before you found out that we're mates?"

Her eyes widen at him staring at her.. Was that pitty in his eyes? She avoided his eyes by looking into the water that rippled by the rains droplets.. "fishing.. Hm.." she had fished a few times but wasn't very good.. Then again it was the salmon down by the lake and they were huge and hard to catch. She licked her lips and crouched by the water.. Trying to not make her shadow show(taking this information from warrior cats..) she stuck her head underwater and. Snapped until she but into something soft yet hard at. The same. Time..shebpulled her head out to reveal a wriggling fish.. She threw it aside and ripped its head off to stop it from moving..

What did he think of her before? He couldn't really remember since.. He couldn't remember her at all. Of he was honest "erm.." he hesitated "I thought you were.." he searched for the word " a major loner I guess.. Didn't think much of you" he muttered "how do you see me as a wolf?"

Loki watched with interest as she crouched down by the river and caught a fish. Impressive. He was horrible at fishing, and would probably end up making a fool out of himself if he tried to catch a fish. He could probably catch one if he tried hard enough, but he lacked the patience to do so. He wasn’t very stealthy either. When hunting, he relied on brute force to overpower the prey. Loki wasn’t a big fan of fish either. It didn’t taste bad, but the smell really got to him. The rain was getting heavier by the second, but some of the trees helped catch the raindrops before they fell to the ground and on him. There was the occasional drop here or there, and some of the wind blew the raindrops towards him. “Nice catch.”

Jinx waited for his answer, unsure of what kind of answer she’d get. She was holding her breath, and her body was tense. He seemed to be struggling to find something to say. She blinked when he answered. How… vague. So he never really noticed or paid much attention to her. It made sense; why would someone like the beta bother with the omega? His answer could’ve been much worse. When he asked the question in return, she looked away. “Well…” Her answer wouldn’t be what he wanted. How would he react if she literally told him that she hated his guts? Or “had” hated his guts. Sucking in a deep breath, she looked back at him. “I’ll be honest, I didn’t really like you. But I don’t like most of the pack members either way. They either treated me like dirt or acted like I didn’t even exist.” She supposed Blaise had been in the “acted like she didn’t exist” group since his answer had indirectly told her that he had forgotten she was there.

She whimpered softly as her paws bounce off the ground two by two in anticipation " we can go.. To get out of the rain and.." she started to doubt.. But then she got the idea. 3..2..1..now. She started to run toward the den. She took sharp turns and went over and under tree roots poking out of the ground to confuse him.. She then rolled in some of the dirty ground to mostly mask her scent.. The rain would. Hopefully do the rest.. She made her way to her den and hid at the back in the dark.. Home.. The earthy tree smell made her feel happy. It was big enough for herself.. A mate.. And a litter.. She smiled and then frowned.. But not the mate she wanted..

He felt tense now too.. How could he sound so arrogant and horrible to his female? The carrier of his pups one day.. His mate.. His everything.. Well that was what his wolf thought of her. Blasé was just scared to hurt her feelings.. And when she said she didn't like. Him. He simply nods. He understood. Why would she like him like the higher ranking females did? He sighed softly "right. I have to go on a morning patrol and hunt.. I'll be back soon. He headed for the door
