Elena crossed her arms, listening to Chiron. She saw Maddox’s annoyed glances. She’d never acted so… Rude. She realized it was probably fear and jealousy. She looked down nervously. She waited until Chiron turned away. “I’m not that bad.” She looked at him. “Usually.”

El looked at him for a moment, crossing her arms. “I don’t know. Maybe that’s the reason right there. Or maybe you’re just a really annoying.” She brushed her hair out of her face. “Or maybe I’m just a moody teenager.” She rolled her eyes.

Maddox gave a harsh scoff. ”Those could be reasons. Or its the face you’re a cranky child of Hades who hates everyone.” He responded so quickly he felt like he’d missaid sething, though he didn’t. He glared daggers at Elena as Chiron trotted over to stop the fighting. ”Now. Now. Both of you, stop. It’s time to depart. Your camp wishes you luck.”

El rolled her eyes, cursing under her breath. “Or you’re an ass.” Okay, if he said that, that is how she would act. “Fine.” She muttered, and sat in one of the seats in the car. “But I won’t enjoy this.” She tugged on her top. “At all.”

As Maddox climbed into one of the seats, he gave a scoff towards Elena. ”Your imsults hurt me so much. Ouch. You act like I’m gonna like this much as you are, princess.” Maddox set his bag at his feet, turning away from Elena to watch his surroundings change from the familiar forest to the city slowly.

Elena smiled at Maddox. “Don’t call me princess.” She looked at him. “Ever.” She rolled her eyes, them looked over again. “I wonder who the unclaimed demigod’s parent is.”

Maddox smirked at the window, looking back over at Elena. ”Well whoever their parent is, it’s got to be important for Chiron to not send out any satyrs to the area.” Maddox shrugged, his eyes staying on Elena. This time, he realized how truely beautiful she was. He hadn’t really taken the time to look at her, through trading insults back and forth. He smiled, turning his head and looking out the window.
