#00BF80 Fenrir hummed slowly, drawing out the note. "well as a prince I get to speak when I wish and for how long. So you are correct, I cannot keep my mouth shut" he drawled, tilting his head to the side and widened his cocky smirk.
#00BF80 He turned towards the door as she faded from view, turning in time to see her become visible once again. "Marvelous" he muttered, placing a finger to his chin and laughed at her comment. "And that, my dear, is what makes you interesting. You claim you are not like the court girls, which is true. Then you go on to claim you will kill me tonight, and I must say you are wrong. I will not fall to your blades or any other means of murder you have with you." he grinned, letting his hands fall to his side and shrugged. "Now you are wondering, I can tell, how I can make such a bold claim? well to put it simply. I'm messing with you sweetheart! Playing a little game." he said all too sweetly, clapping his hands together.

She hated him. She actually hated him. At the same time though, she was intrigued. Never in her entire career had she met anyone who wasn't scared of death. If she saw them before finishing it, they begged they screamed. They most certainly didn't make sarcastic remarks, tease her, or flirt. All his little pet names grinded on her nerves, but he would not see that.

"The only thing I need to kill you is my pay and my bare hands," she said, squeezing the life out of him seemed a more appealing offer the longer he spent talking. "Have you ever killed anyone, your highness? Felt what makes them human leak out of them? Taken the scythe from the hand of death? But I suspect not, but you should know this is much more than a little game."

      Fenrir Lydel
    Fen ✴ Prince ✴ Nineteen

#00BF80 Fenrir snickered at her ever so present agitation and annoyance directed towards him, it was satisfying if not anything else. He observed her with darkened eyes, the dim flickering lights of the room made it harder to make out most of her body language and predict her next move, though he really didn't care for that at the moment since, of course, he was enjoying this far too much.
#00BF80 He thought and pondered at her question, describing the process of watching someone die in such poetic detail, though for once he kept the remark to himself. "Personally, I have never killed anyone. Yet, I do find watching the life drain from those who threaten my life and rule as future king quite satisfying since, for them, the tables have turned and I am now the one they will be seeing in their last moments of their pathetic life" his tone and mannerisms suddenly grew dark as he spoke, his cocky smile turning to a much more sinister and wicked one before switching back to his oddly enthusiastic and optimistic nature. "But I assure you, deary, there are no blood on my hands directly"

"So others stain their hand in your name? It seems to me that you don't have the courage to do it yourself, and so put the deed onto others." she said. She didn't miss the darkness that seemed to rise within him in that moment, the bravado vanishing in mere seconds to a much darker shade. "By that measure, my career choices stand as more honest, perhaps not better morally- but I don't think either of us really care about that." Maybe this womanizer was more than his persona. She had always looked down on the woman that saw themselves as his future queen, such foolish dreams filled the air in their heads with some substance.

"Better blood spilled yourself than blood spilled in your name." she added briefly. No one had ever killed for Aura, because she didn't need them to. "So, pretty boy. Would you rather I just slit your throat? Or do you want to try and fight me? Maybe you'll stain those lily-white hands at last."

#00BF80 Fenrir frowned and sighed, stepping closer to her. "But if I did kill someone myself no one would want me as their king, at that wouldn't be very beneficial to the kingdom, hm?" he said darkly, pausing to observe her for only a brief moment. "I have no siblings, that are alive at least, so if I was now unfit to be the future king that puts my kingdom in a bad place and as much of a pompous jerk I am I would not do that to my people" he said, almost as if he was offended by whatever she had said.
#00BF80 Fenrir opted for completely ignoring her statement about one of them having to die and instead completely switched their whole conversation. "Pretty boy, huh?" he smirked, looking away and walking over to the closest window to the door and opened it, the cool summer night air flowed in. The wind blew his hair away from his brown eyes as he smiled. "It's quite a lovely night, don't you think?" the prince said without turning to face her.

What was he doing? She narrowed her eyes at his turned back. Aura didn't like this not one bit, it had seemed so simple on the way in. Not so much as a badly trained guard in her path, just empty corridors and unlocked doors. At his mention of king, she couldn't imagine this man one day sitting on the throne. Or a king who wasn't prepared to get his hands dirty, say what you would about the kings in the East, but they knew how do a good execution.

"Everything is lovely if you look at it long enough," she said lightly. As someone who had spent her entire life painting crimson she found the shade peaceful, a constant in an otherwise hectic world. "Except perhaps insufferable royals." she added on to the end. Despite all of the words they had shared, she wasn't feeling the incentive to actually finish it. This may be one job she left for another.

#00BF80 Fenrir seemed to smile and almost laugh at her comment about insufferable royals. He turned back to her for only a moment before looking away again.
#00BF80 "I can't help but wonder who that insufferable royal is" he said sarcastically, looking at her out of the corner of his eye. "and I suppose you could think that spilled blood is lovely. A job well done I suppose?" his dark tone and mannerisms returned full force once again, the dark and mischievous glint returned to his eyes.

She raised a single eyebrow at his antics. The man was like two sides of a coin. One moment all privileged naivety, the other a dark nightmare of a man who had seen too much.

"Jobs well done looks like accidents, so if the accident involves a bloody instrument, well I suppose it does." she answered. She had made her mind up, she would not kill him tonight, the conversation was the most interesting she had had for a while, and as the dawn approached she couldn't afford to hand around forever. Her hand came to the door knob, preparing for a silent exit. "You're a fun one, I'll grant you that."

#00BF80 Fenrir silently let out a sigh of relief when it looked like she was going to be leaving. "a fun one, huh?" he paused and smiled. "if you are so inclined to leave, I won't follow you and I may not send guards after you either" he said with a wink, leaning back against the window with his arms crossed.

She laughed. "What makes you think your guards could keep up? I'm much too good for that," she said. Aura would ask for the contract to be revoked, return the payment, shut their mouths if they dared speak of her failure, or indeed lack of trying. "Have a nice life," she said behind her as she disappeared and went out of the door.

She went back into the garden where she had come from, and stood for a moment, looking up at the star lit sky. Soon daylight would return, but for now she was safe in her dark domain. No doubt she would be asked to kill here again, a noble or a courtier. And she would plan it all around her lucky target. Sensing her once was bad enough, twice was even worse.
