Ylfa is brave, bold and full of mischief. She is a true optimist, always looking for the good in people and situations, and loves nothing more than to play sports outside. However bright and bubbly she may seem, don't get on her wrong side, or before you can count to three she'll have bruised your ego so bad you'll just want to dig a whole, crawl into it and die. Ylfa is very excitable and creative, and has an infectious happiness about her. She really loves animals, especially wolves, and spent her primary school years in Russian Wilderness learning useful skills such as whittling and skiing. Ylfa hates surprises, because she always does something stupid to try and find out what they are, but ends up in A&E with a dislocated wrist or something like that.

Like a man-made miracle, the plane soared into the sky. It didn't stay there for long...

A panicked pilot screamed into the radio receiver. In Ylfa's mind, everything slowed down. BA-DUM, BA-DUM, went her heart, pounding in her ears. A little boy's scream rang in her brain, over and over again. Out of her window, Ylfa could see a smoking wing, until-WHACK! It wasn't there anymore as they hit some turbulence. It had blown behind them. As reality sunk in, Ylfa began to panic. She didn't know anyone on the plane, and a sinking hole opened in her stomach.
"BRACE!!!!" screeched the pilot. That was the last thing Ylfa could remember...

When Ylfa awoke, she felt lost and disoriented. Salty waves kissed the soles of her feet, and the blazing sun scorched her skin. A girl she did not know, slightly older than herself, lay next to he out cold. Ylfa felt for her pocket knife, which she had smuggled onto the plane in her shoe. She took it out and looked at her reflection in the blade. A long, deep scar trailed across her right eye, constantly pouring blood. It hurt so badly, the pain was overpowering. She just wanted to scream and cry and yell and fight, and roar as deeply as her teenage lungs would allow. Everything ached, and a hazy image of swimming and spluttering through the ocean danced in her head. A large piece of wing had caught her head as she had grabbed the girl beside her, creating the ugly gash. Whimpering, she sat up. Flickering images danced before her, and she felt sick and dizzy. Without warning, she belched up her insides all over the sand, narrowly missing the other girl's leg.
"Chyort!" she cried, and fell back into the soft sand. She muttered to herself in Russian, her native tongue.
"Gde ya? O, der'mo, vse bol'no ... YA zhiv? Pomiluy menya, ya vsego lish' rebenok!"

At the peicing scream Ylfa shot onto her feet, her hands on her ears."Chyort!" she cried, shaken. She broke Ylfa out of her trance and ruined the peace and tranquility of the ocean, so Ylfa was fairly annoyed tat her. The girl's legs were etched in cuts and bruises but she was much taller than Ylfa, but still with brown hair and blue eyes. Ylfa flicked her knife in her hands casually, scrutinising the girl before her. Without warning, she pointed it at the other girl's neck, ensuring that one wrong move would result in death. Ylfa's eyes were cold but her voice colder, and her face was emotionless as she tried to tell if she could trust this girl.
"Ylfa. 17. You?"
