Valentina was born on February 14th, hence the name Valentina Heart. She is the child of Sandra Hernandez-Hart and Cameron Hart. Val is twenty years old and is currently in her second year of university. She is majoring in biology in hopes of becoming a doctor, specifically a pediatrician, when she is older. Valentina's parents are both surgeons, so she would love to follow in their footsteps of attending medical school. Her parents met when they were both med students at Harvard University, and she is absolutely obsessed with their love story. Valentina has a brother who she is extremely close with. She hasn't seen him in awhile ever since he decided to take an internship at Jurassic World. She finally planned a trip to pay him and the park a visit, not expecting the disaster that happened to have ever occurred.

River is a twenty-two year old male from Colorado. He is the son of Cameron Hart and Sandra Hernandez-Hart, both of whom are doctors. River used to be extremely close with his family, but as the years passed by he slowly drifted away from them. His parents always pressured him to follow in their footsteps to become a doctor, but that's never what he felt passionate to do. Instead he felt it was best that he take some time to figure out his passions in life, which is exactly when he got offered an internship at Jurassic World. He has been interning there for a few months now, and is loving every second of it. While his parents are not supportive of this career choice and are not as close to their son as they used to be, his sister is still extremely supportive of him and his choices. This is why they have continued to remain so close over the years, and he was thrilled when she decided to visit him at work over break.

♔────── oliver
Had someone warned him that he'd get trapped on this god forsaken island before he went, Oliver would have second guessed taking the top job his boss had offered him. The carnage and death he had witnessed in the aftermath of the island going straight to hell weighed heavily on him as he scavenged an indoor gift shop for any kind of food. His team had quickly forgotten about him after the chaos had begun, especially when he went on a heroic path to rescue a mother and her child from one of the hell birds. What were they called again? Dimorphodons or something to that effect. It didn't matter much anyways. He was stuck on the island, the last ship leaving sometime when he had gotten trapped in a restroom by something large with teeth. He didn't want to die, and though he wasn't particularly happy to be stuck on the island, it was better than suffering at the claws of some beast.
Sighing, Oliver picked up a few scattered candy bars, throwing some into his bag, before tearing one open. He took a seat on the messy floor, munching on his snack. As far as he was aware, no one was coming back to search for survivors. It seemed that once it seemed the majority of guests were off the island, that was it. Anyone left over was to fend for themselves. He had met one man briefly, but he was swept up quickly by one of the dimorphodons, flown screaming away. He felt awful - he hadn't even gotten the guy's name. His mind quickly raced to his family, and he wondered what they were doing. Did they think he was dead, like the hundreds of others who perished here? Or were they still holding out hope?
Oliver stood quickly as he heard movement outside the gift shop. He couldn't get too comfortable - the dinosaurs were getting more and more curious - breaking through the glass, pushing open doors. He had run into mostly friendly guys, but there was always the off chance he'd run into a unfriendly, and he didn't want that to happen. He moved towards the back of the gift shop, exiting out of an emergency exit. No alarm blared like the door warned, causing him to sigh. Not long after things hit the fan, the power began to go out in most of the island. He pulled out his cell phone, seeing the flashing low battery in the corner. "Still no signal," he muttered, shaking his head. For such a tech savvy island, they sure did have horrid service.
♔────── amelia
Amelia had watched some of the attacks from the monitors in the main room, sickened by what she had been witnessing. Unlike the others, who had either fled or just kind of sat back to watch the show, she had gone out to help the guests. She would ward off the dimorphodons as they swooped down to attack, trying her best to help the panicking crowds to get to shelter inside. The last thing she remembered before being knocked out was a particularly larger dimorphodon picking her up, before she fell from it's claws when a guest chucked a rock at it.
Cracking her eyes open, the first thing that registered was the pain she was in. Groaning softly, she slowly curled her fingers and toes, happy to report that they all still seemed attached to her. She tilted her head slightly, grimacing as leaves poked at her eyes. It seemed she landed in a bush of some kind - which was far better than landing in the open water with the mosasaurs. Amelia slowly pushed herself up, grimacing as the pain in her body began to evenly spread out. Better to be in pain than dead she supposed. She stepped out of the bush and onto the concrete, surprised to find the surrounding area completely abandoned. She listened for any sound of nearby people, disturbed to find none. Was it possible the island had been evacuated? If that was the case, why would they leave behind any potential survivors.
Sighing softly, she limped her way to a nearby building, pushing open the door. She needed to find other people. She felt it in her gut that there were others, but where they were currently was beyond her. "Hello?" she called out, frowning at the dinosaur shaped food and candy surrounding her. She went in cautiously, keeping a close eye on any sudden noises or footsteps. She could meet another survivor or just as easily a dino. And she wasn't in the mood to meet the latter at the moment.

↙↙Valentina Hart
In this very moment Valentina was regretting ever coming to this island. While she was so thankful to be with her brother and know that he was alive, she did not want to be trapped with him on this deserted piece of land. All she wanted to do was go home and curl up in her nice queen sized bed that was waiting for her at home, if it was still even waiting for her. For all she knew her parents had come to the conclusion that both she and her brother had died after the dinosaur attacks on the island, and had given their belongings away to charity so they could get the office and gym they had been dreaming of for years. As Valentina sat quietly in a corner of an abandoned gift shop besides her brother, she felt the tears start to fill up in her eyes again.
This wasn't the first time she had cried after the attacks on the island. In all honesty she had lost count of how many times she had broke down in tears, but could you blame her? They were stuck on this island with a bunch of creatures who were trying to swallow them whole. She had hoped that there were other survivors on the island so that they could all work together to try and get out of here, but she had yet to find any. The girl quickly wiped a tear from her face and buried her head into her knees as she pulled them closer to her chest, wrapping her arms around them. Val knew her brother was sick of seeing her cry, so she didn't want to disturb him with her tears for the third time today.
This was a nightmare, something people only dream about. This wasn't at all how she expected her weekend with her brother to go. He felt so bad for inviting her to come for the weekend, and she knew that. She didn't blame him for her being her, as she had been looking forward to this trip for months. She just wished she hadn't had to spend it running and hiding from dinosaurs. The attacks happened within hours of her arriving at the park, so she really didn't get a chance to even enjoy the great Jurassic World. Valentina turned to look at her brother, about to whisper something to him when she heard the sound of a door closing. Her heart immediately dropped and the brunette froze for a few moments before she slowly started to stand up, ready to dart out of here at any second. As she stood up, her body shaking from fear, she heard a voice. It sounded soft and cautious, and without thinking twice about it she replied, "Hello?" she asked. She slowly walked from out of the corner she and River had been hiding in, ignoring her brother's pleas to not move. As she walked out she spotted a person, a young girl to be exact. So many emotions filled the girl as she darted over to the other survivor and hugged her, "I don't know who you are but I am so happy to see you!" she exclaimed, releasing the girl from her tight grip as she took a step back. She smiled and breathed a sigh of relief, "I'm sorry! I just didn't think anyone else had made it," Valentina explained.
↗↗River-James Hart
He couldn't help but feel responsible for bringing his sister into this mess. If he hadn't invited her to come and visit him for the weekend, she wouldn't be stuck on this abandoned island with him. It was his fault that they had missed the last evacuation ship, and now he had no idea how to get his sister and himself home safely. If he hadn't insisted on going back to his cubicle to get the documents for a new project he had been working on here, they wouldn't have missed the ship. The boy let out a long sigh as he sat beside his sister on the floor of the now empty shop.
Glass was shattered around them from the windows and the lights were flickering on and off, but it was safer than being outside with the dinosaurs. There was even food on the shelves in here, so that was a plus as well. He and Valentina had gone fifteen hours without food after realizing they had missed their last chance of getting off this island, so when they took a risk and entered this building, they were pleased to find some snacks and bottles of water left behind.
As the River sat quietly in the corner, he heard the sound of a door opening and closing twice. The first time he didn't hear any noice after the sound of the door, so he relaxed for a few minutes before he heard the door open and close again. River immediately stood up, looking down at his sister so she would do the same. They needed to be prepared to run just in case a dinosaur tried to attack again. He took a deep breath as he listened carefully for any more noise, "Don't move!" he mouthed to his sister. His body was stiff and his heart was beating rapidly inside his chest, but he was ready to do anything to protect Valentina. The boy's eyes widened at the sound of a female's voices. He turned to face Valentina again to tell her to not say a word, but before he knew it she was already heading out from their safe corner. He frowned and slowly followed behind her, scanning the area in case something were to pop out.
When he heard Valentina's voice again, he looked over in her direction and saw her hugging a girl. He didn't say a word though, terrified they weren't the only ones in the building. He examined a few areas of the gift shop as Valentina talked to another survivor, breathing a sigh of relief when he realized nothing else was inside here with him. He was confused by what or who had opened and closed the door to the gift the first time, but he didn't want to think about it too much. River walked over to the two girls,"Are you injured?" he asked the girl.
