Jay smiled proudly. "I wrote that," he said quietly. "When I thought there was nothing else to live for and I fell in love... You know the end of the poem now at least," He choked out, the smile leaving his face.

Adelia shook her head and looked sadly at the prince. "I don't want to get you in trouble. The king will find out what I am one day, and.." She couldn't make herself finish the sentence. "I believe I have fallen for you too, your Majesty, though I wish I hadn't," she muttered quietly, turning away from him to look at the horizon. She didn't try to stop the tears that rolled from her eyes and down her face.
