- Shylo ran a hand through his hair anxiously. Cracking a sad smile, he spoke, the words falling out of his swollen lips painfully. "I- I don't know, really," he stuttered softly, "I yelled at this guy, and he apparently can't fight with words and resorted to his fists." He was ashamed, in all honestly. To put it simply, he was utterly ashamed and disappointed in himself, as well as the other participant in the fight. He didn't think about how telling Rei would take a toll on him, and how great of a toll it would be. Shylo didn't want her to view him as weak and defenseless, but there was no use in lying to her. They had some sort of connection that he couldn't deny even if he tried his hardest that would snitch on him.
He smiled softly once more, again wincing through the pain of the smile. "But I'm fine, I promise," he reassured her, noticing the break in her, somehow, angelic voice.
