- "Confession time," Shylo started, "I'm a really picky eater. Pizza's disgusting, burritos are disgusting, seafoods disgusting. I cook a lot, but I barely eat the food I cook. I think the only food I really like here is anything overly salty." He shot a glance at Rei. "But whatever you want to eat is fine," he flashed a smile through his words. As the smile faded, he adverted his gaze to the sidewalk they walked on.
He walked, eyes to the ground. They weren't far from his apartment. His eyes focused on his shoes as one fell in front of the other. A smile spread across his face, seemingly out of no where. For the first time in over a hundred years, he'd felt happy. And ironically enough, the cause of that was a demon. His apartment was in sight soon enough, and he picked up his pace. Once they were within a few feet of it, he reached his free arm around to his pocket and grabbed his keys, fumbling around with them. It wasn't the easiest thing to do with one free arm, but he made it work.
Making his way up the stairs, he found the right key. By the time he'd found the right key, they were at his door. He freed his arm, grabbing the door handle with that hand, key in the other hand. Unlocking his door, he swung it open and stepped in, offering Rei to come in. Once she had, he shut the door behind them. Without thinking, he slipped his shirt and jacket off and walked to his makeshift bedroom which was only a room away. After grabbing a new shirt and pants in one hand, old, wet shirt and jacket in the other, he stepped out of his bedroom. He smiled softly at Rei, dimples showing, and ran his fingers through his wet hair with the hand whose arms were holding the wet articles. He made his way to his bathroom, leaving the door open behind him. Throwing his wet clothes into the laundry basket placed in the corner of the bathroom, he immediately changed after. A plain v-neck gray t-shirt and blue jeans. He'd never really dressed to impress, even before he died. He'd always just thrown on whatever he could find. He stepped out, a towel in his hand as he ruffled his hair with it.
He spotted Rei and offered a small smile before throwing the towel into the bathroom in the basket. Walking back into the living room and kitchen area, he looked at Rei once more. "So, where do you want to go?" he asked.
