“A book.” She said, knowing what he meant but her sass decided to take control for the conversation. “A street cat named Bob. It’s about a guy named James who adopts a cat in London.” She said, not looking up.

[SpotSong]

He rolled his eyes at her sass but smiled a little. "a cat named bob huh? i bet he dies somehow"

“Animals tend to do that, however this cat is still alive. At some point he will die though. I will as well.” She said, now closing the book and looking at him.

[SpotSong]

Loki looked at her after hearing her words and nodded. "Indeed you will. You humans and your short lifespan" he muttered a little and shifted slightly.

“You can call it short but it makes time precious.” She said, standing up, her blue eyes were bright. She was relaxed now. Calmer than normal.

His eyes looked at her as she stood and he tilted his head ever so slightly until his green eyes met her bright blue ones and he paused for a moment. She seemed calm and that set him off a little.

“I wouldn’t expect someone who’s immortal to understand that though.” She said, walking past him once more and feeding Thunder and giving him clean water.

Loki furrowed his brow slightly. "Who said I was immortal?" he asked her turning to watch her again feed the pup who seemed to be always hungry and shook his head a little.

Thunder wagged his tail happily. She patted his head and stood back up. “You said you’re over one thousand years old and your a god. If you’re not immortal I’d be surprised.” She said, sitting down at the table.

"No one is perfectly immortal. I merely age very slowly" he pointed out with a shrug.
