indentation( sounds good considering freddy actually likes to read. c: )
indentationFredrick sighed in relief as his final class ended, quickly stuffing his notebooks into his book bag before racing out the door before the others. His hands were cramping up from writing all day long, he thought that this would be better than Mr. Thompson's daily unit meetings, turns out he was wrong. Mr. Black was not easy on them today, he had them all write down notes all day long, at least they didn't do a lot of classwork. He could finally relax after a long day, his interaction with that weird girl had really disturbed his mood, he was trying his very best to not remember it. He had actually wondered if her powers were what made him feel the way he did, it was likely since he wasn't even attempting to recall his past memories. Freddy sighed in exasperation━he could see those memories all so clearly now.
indentationHeading off to his unit's dorm, he grabbed his own key from out of his back pocket and unlocked the door, wincing a little as he heard the door clink open. As expected, nobody was hanging around in the living room, but he could hear some of them walking around in their rooms. Freddy sneaked to his door, closing it shut and locking it as always. His room was pitch black as always, but thanks to his night vision, he could see clearly in the dark ambiance. It was the only power he was glad to have, the only power that was actually useful to him and didn't cause destruction━━most of his powers caused just that. He turned on the lamp near his bedside table, being greeted by the sight of the mess that was his room. A few dirty clothes were piled up in the corner of his room near the dresser, a stack of books from the school's library had fallen off his desk and onto the floor, his posters were also slowly peeling themselves from off the creamy white hued walls. It truly felt like a haven to him, it reminded him very much of home, his room was always in a disorganized fashion with clothing scattered everywhere and books thrown about. He was very dissimilar to his twin brother, Odin, who would always like for his room to be clean and neatly arranged. As much as Freddy tried to pick up, his room would always come back to its original form, a mess━a very homey mess. Throwing his book bag to the floor, he went over to the dresser and looked at his reflection in the mirror as he did in the morning━━silently judging his own appearance. He looked like a mess, just like his room, his hair was scruffy and dried blood was speckled near his mouth and chin━he doubt that nobody noticed it at all, hell, they were probably staring at him in awe and disgust, it wasn't really a common occurrence to see fellow students with blood flicked onto them. Freddy grabbed a hold of a wipe and swabbed his face gently, the blood hesitantly rubbing off of his pale skin. He threw the wipe into the trash, grabbing a bottle of his prescribed medicine. He snatched his water bottle from off his bedside table, taking a single pill and swallowing it with a gulp of water. It was the medicine that the school nurse gave to him, to well, 'control' his outbursts of anger and make them occur less. He wondered if they actually did help him, he did get into a fight with Johnathan this morning and the pills didn't seem to be doing their job. What were they anyway? Peering at the bottle's label, he read a strange name that he couldn't really say. 'Zoe-loft?' 'Zoo-left?' What the hell, he didn't know how to pronounce that. He shook his head and placed the bottle back down onto the dresser. Freddy went over to his desk, clutching on to one of his many books. It had a green cover with golden words stitched onto it, it was named 'The Devil's Wish.' A classic horror book, something that he very much enjoyed. Maybe that was something weird about him, he liked books━━horror books━━and he enjoyed reading them so much. He had read every single book that he took back with him from the library, he wondered if he could go get some more today, he didn't want to sit in his room after classes with nothing to do, and he did have to return these books back to their rightful owner━━the library. He figured he could go to the library for a little while, it would be good to get out of the proximity of his unit members for some time. Freddy grabbed all of his books from off the floor, shoving various horrors books including 'Outlast,(sweet sweet reference)' 'The Wolf,' 'A Silent Home' (wink wonk, reference), and 'The Last of Them' (oof, reference) into his bag before heading out the door.
indentationDown the hallway, Freddy was greeted with a few freaked out stares and hushed whispers, this making him almost sneer at every individual that did so. They all moved out of his way, like he was some king on his way to his throne. He absolutely hated being the center of attention as always, he wondered if news of the brawl in the cafeteria had got out, because there were a few other students watching the scene, so they would likely gossip about it with each other. Why couldn't they find something else to talk about? He was always looked at like some circus freak, like some zoo attraction. Freddy sucked his teeth and gripped onto his book bag as more stares were directed towards him, he ignored it obliviously as always. Fortunately, before other students could stare at him, he had already made it to the library. He stared up at it with awe and warmth, it was his second hideaway, his first being his room of course. Opening its doors, he noticed that there were barely any other people in here, and he was glad to be somewhat alone. He headed up to check out area and signed in before dropping off his handful of books, the librarian Mrs. Glades giving him a look of curiosity. “Mr. Wolfenstein? Nice to see you again.” she muttered seemingly happily, he nodded humbly back without saying anything. Mrs. Glades was one of his favored individuals, she wasn't too perky and cheerful as well as too mean and snarky. She reminded him of an owl, a being of pure silence and prosperity, even though she wasn't old she had been very wise, and he was happy to have someone that wasn't as foolish as Johnathan. After dropping off his books, he went off to the fiction section, looking for a good horror book to read. There were a lot of books that he had read during his time here at Meredith, so he would always come face to face with books that he had already looked at and it was frustrating to find a good and new book that he hadn't laid his eyes on. After looking through the section for a while, he silently stalked over to where the non-fiction books were, but he had came to a stop as he noticed one of his unit members.
indentationThat girl!? Freddy almost cried in frustration as he recognized who it was. It was his partner, the girl from earlier that he couldn't remember the name of. He should've trust his gut when he knew something was off, her powers were causing him inner turmoil! He didn't want her to see him, so he hid behind one of the book shelves, but she looked very deep into her book that he wondered if she would see him at all. Freddy sighed loudly, immediately receiving some glances by the other people here. He glared back at them, which made them turn their heads back as they recognized him. Freddy wasn't going to leave, he was going to stay here as he decided to do. Maybe he could forget about her being here, maybe that would decrease of his chances of her noticing him. Usually, he didn't fear confrontation, but this girl in particular always made him uneasy and unusually jittery.
( i also like the idea for the reason why she's escaping, freddy would probably be escaping for the same reason )

♛. ── ❝ VALERIA ❞
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
( seventeen years ) ( female ) ( fear manipulation/inducement ) ( tags: fredrick )
The book that Valeria had chosen was one that she had never read before, in fact.. she had never even seen it in the library before today. She had been reading for about fifteen minutes and the book was continuing to lose her interest. The writing was odd and the story was hard to follow - the odd writing style only added to the confusion. The general idea of it had seemed interesting, but it wasn’t being pulled off very well. So, as much as she hated not finishing a book she had already started, she stood up and closed the book. Glancing down at her bag, she decided to just leave it seeing as she’d only be gone for a few minutes and the students around here weren’t theives from what she understood.
Valeria walked back to the shelf where she had found the book and tucked it away. Then, she walked along the isle, running her finger along the spines of the books and reading the titles as she slowly paced forwards. Her thoughts were simple, No... no... no... no... maybe.. and then she’d pick up that book, read the back, but she’d only end up putting the book back. Her mind was restless, everything seemed uninteresting and she couldn’t really focus. The dark-haired girl sighed and pushed away the obvious thoughts piling up her her head. Then, she continued on. At the end of the long shelf she turned the corner to walk down the next isle, but as soon as she turned the corner she felt an electric tension in the air. Like a crackling thunderstorm placed only in the small space between these two specific bookshelves. Val looked up quickly and her dark brown gaze locked onto the frustrated and cautious gaze of Fredrick. She froze and tensed up visibly as she just stared at him and the space in between them.
After an awkward moment of complete silence, Valeria shifted her eyes away and subconsciously took a small step backwards. She wasn’t sure if she should say something or just walk away. So, she did neither. She shook her head slightly and turned her gaze back towards the books, now, though, she was taking her precious time by taking out nearly every book she came along on the shelf and reading the small summary of the book carefully. She even took the time to read the reviews on them. A part of her wanted to apologize to Fredrick, but after all of this time of keeping to herself and not getting involved with others, she wasn’t going to break everything she had built up just because she had purposefully used her powers on someone. She had used them by accident many times and she had never felt this much guilt and shame before. Maybe it was because they both knew it was purposeful, even if she didn’t want to, she still did it, knowing exactly what damage she would cause.
( sorry for the wait, i’ve been caught up with school and working on other replies for 1x1s. Also, sounds good, that’s what I was thinking too. )

indentation( no worries! c: if you like, val could find freddy here, but you can just time skip if you please )
indentationAs soon as their eyes met, his face almost instantly turned to that of anger. Well, not really anger, but it was really close. He hasn't really noticed her come here, to the library, at all out of these years of being here, and he was slightly indignant about her presence. Maybe they came at separate times? He'd mostly come here during the early mornings, you know, when no one decides to bother or pressure him. They both stared at each other for a few moments, their eyes locking with a slight intensity. Not quite aware of his actions, Freddy took at step back after noticing her do so as well. And after a few more awfully quiet seconds, she had finally moved away. He watched as she walked off, his eyes boring into the back of her head.
indentationFreddy couldn't quite relax whilst he was in the library that time, something about the presence of the girl made him perturbed and edgy and he couldn't pinpoint anything else besides her power being the cause. After finally coming across a few books and novels he liked, he went over and sat down on one of the chairs that were placed down for the readers. Hesitantly, Freddy opened up one of the books and began reading from it. From first reading it, the book was kind of monotonous and tedious, he just couldn't pay attention to it as the girl was still present here. As he continued to read it, he finally stopped and picked up another one. The same time it had been boring and dull, so he picked up another one, and so the cycle continued as he kept looking for more books to read, most of them being dreary to his eyes. He hadn't quite realized that the librarian Mrs. Glades was leaving as the library was nearing its closing hour, so he nearly struck her as she tapped him on his shoulder, startling him from his reads. “Um, Mr. Wolfenstein? It's closing time.” she had said shakily, her voice thin with nervousness. He was surprised that time moved that quick, there were no other people in the library other than him and Mrs. Glades. He glanced over to where the girl had been sitting only to realize that she wasn't there anymore, she left earlier he assumed.
indentationFreddy dragged his feet as he walked through the silent hallways to his unit's room, his sound of shoes against the squeaky floor being a bit obnoxious. It was almost 10:00 PM, and so there were hardly any other students or staff members hanging out late. He liked these quiet times where no one was out and staring at him, he'd grown sick and tired of the people's stares, from the mutants as well as the normal. At this time, he would sneak outdoors to sit down and relax after enduring the long day, and that was what he was exactly about to do. It was deserted during this time, many were either exhausted or consumed with work and studies, but Freddy was not tired nor had any work to do for the next day. He did get tired of staying in his room all those days of being trapped in this place, so there was one day when he decided to first sly his way out of here, he did so successfully but there were some times when he was almost caught, but it never stopped him from continuously doing it.
indentationA sinking feeling in his gut occurred as he walked through those hallways, it was feeling he got when he was either angered, frightened, or sick, but he was neither of those right now. It was also a feeling when he was around that girl━Vera, he thought her name was━so there was a possibility... No, it couldn't be, why would she be lurking out late at this time? He'd never seen her out here when he sneaked out, so it couldn't be, but Freddy couldn't help but wonder if it was. He neared the door to the back and opened it as quietly as he could, cringing as he heard the door squeak slightly as it opened slowly. Freddy walked over to a nearby bench and plopped down on it, dropping his book bag on the pavement. A starry night it was tonight, he enjoyed looking at it when it came, it was something he was interested in━the stars, the moon, the night━he saw it with meaning, but others may think they were all meaningless. Freddy sighed to himself.
