"Just going to patrol around the fence. I want to make sure that there are no weak spots," he told him. He was glad that Troy didn't ask why he was heading out this late in the morning, as he usually leaves earlier.

[Light Bringer]

"Oh, alright. Just let me know if you need anything." Troy said, subtly offering to go with Jake.

"Alright," he said, nodding. "Hey, actually, there is something to be done. Madison came back from a trip to a trading post, and she thinks we can get water there. There aren't many volunteers, so you could go with them," he said, turning to leave. "We're dangerously low on water."

Troy nodded his head, he really didn't want to go with Madison but he knew it was his duty to take care of the ranch and if that meant going out with Madison and some other to get water, so be it. "Alright. I can handle that."

"Good." He started walking down the hallway. "Hey Troy, it's good to have you back," he called back, leaving.

[Light Bringer]

"It's good to be back." Troy called out, smiling before turning around and checking on Malia. If she wasn't awake, he'd write a note and head off.

Malia had her eyes open and watched Troy come in. "Are you leaving?" she asked, worried.

[Light Bringer]

"Yeah. Jake just told me that Madison found a trading post that had water. I've got to go see if I can help figure something out." Troy said, walking over to Malia and taking her hand.

Malia sat up, clutching Troy's hand. "I'll come with you then," she said.

[Light Bringer]

"No, you need to rest, you're hurt. Like you said, your wound might be infected." Troy said.
