Malia slowly stopped shaking and her heartbeat started to slow down. She calmed down a bit, and she wrapped her arms around Troy. She could hear the walkers breaking down the bedroom door and she flinched when it crashed open. She moved closer to Troy and held him tighter, afraid that the walkers would get to them.
Troy didn't stop holding Malia and stroking her hair. He turned his head to face the door so he could keep an eye on any walker movement. He kept telling himself that they'd be fine. That the walkers wouldn't get to them.
Malia felt a flare of panic when a walkers bumped into the closet door. Luckily, it kept on walking without stopping. Malia buried her face in Troy's hair, not wanting to hear the continuous snarling of the walkers. She clung to him, afraid that the walkers would crash down the door.
Troy didn't take his eyes off the door. He felt his heart racing, he didn't know just how much longer they could sit here and wait. They were going to need food, water and bathroom breaks eventually.
Malia listened to the walkers, giving up on tying to block them out. She rested her head on Troy's shoulder and closed her eyes, unable to see anything anyways since it was so dark.
Troy started to worry some more, it seemed as though there was no end to the walkers. Maybe they'd be stuck in there for longer than Troy first anticipated.
"We need to take down a walker. If we cover ourselves in its blood we'll be able to walk out of her safely," she whispered, her lips close to his ear as not to be heard by the walkers outside.
"I'm not sure how we're going to do it," she admitted. "It sounds like there's a lot of walkers in the room, and probably more in the rest of the house."
