Malia bit her lip. She didn't want to be away from Troy, especially since he could get hurt. "Crazy Dog will come with you," Qaletaqa said to Troy, in a "no arguments" voice. Malia took Troy's hand and laced their fingers together.

Troy sighed a little. He really didn't want Crazy Dog to go with him but he knew that he wasn't going to change Qaletaqas mind. He glanced over at Malia when she took his hand and offered her a reassuring smile. "Everything's gonna be fine."

Malia didn't want Troy to go. Couldn't someone else leave? Qaletaqa left, and Malia wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his chest. "Do you have to go?" she whispered. "Can't you send someone else?"

[Light Bringer]

Troy nodded his head. "Yeah. I've got to go." He confirmed. "I know this place better than just about anyone else. If something happens and we get lost, I'd be the one most likely to find the way back." He said. "Everything will be fine though."

"You don't know that," she whispered. "Anything could go wrong." She wrapped her arms around him, holding him close.

Troy shook his head a little, wrapping his own arms around Malia. "Nothing will go wrong. I'm sure of it."

"You can't know that," she protested, holding him close. She hadn't thought Jake would have died, but he did. "Can't I at least come with you?"

Troy shook his head. As much as he wanted to go with Malia instead of Crazy Dog, he knew he couldn't risk her wound getting worse. "No. You need to stay here and rest."

"I can't sleep without you," she protested,holding him close.

"You did before you met me." Troy said.
