twenty years - mermaid - a ship - tagging Finnxxxxxxxx
Cassandara relaxed only moderately as the captain left the bunks. He, more than Hansen, scared her and being even in his presence (much less a prisoner on his ship) made her uneasy. She was still watching the man leave when she felt the other man's arms wrap around her once again. She wondered if he would notice her heart rate accelerate, if he'd feel the hitch in her breathing as he grabbed her, if her involuntary body language would tell him without words that she was still in a state of panic. She tried to hold onto his neck as he walked without looking desperate from fear, though it probably came across that way. In truth, she wasn't seeking comfort from the man, she just didn't trust his balance while carrying her. He was surprisingly strong, shown in the fact that he seemed to transport her with some ease. She was significantly heavier than a human of her size would be, but then again she was rather frail among her species.
She was forced to wait awkwardly on the ship's deck as he prepared some sort of silver tub-like thing for her to use. She bit her lip, knowing that if the day got hot she'd boil in stagnant water, but unwilling to say more than she was made to. She watched him like an observant child as he placed her into the salty water and pulled a wooden chair up next to her. She stared at him as he spoke, wondering what he wanted in committing to a conversation. "I'm Cassandara," she said quietly. So, his second name was Hansen. Though he called himself "Finn." "Where am I, Finn? Where are we going?" The question, though simple in and of itself, she thought might give him pause. At least it should, if the answer was anything like what she was expecting to hear.
{sorry for the insane wait ;o;}
