audree grew up in both a very small town and
a very religious family and what a disaster ha
d that been for him. the first person he ever
came out to was his slightly younger sister, th

xxxaudree didn't know how he always found himself in these situations. he couldn't tell you how many times he found himself in the belly of a beast; the beast being wild young adults finally letting go after a full week of classes and essays. the first few times he found himself swaying to the overly loud music was the very first week he started to attend the college; being invited by an older guy dre no longer remembered the name of. of course, audree couldn't say no. saying no was like signing the death certificate for your social reputation and he'd rather not kill it so soon. the parties weren't all the bad, not really at least. he had his fun, there were a decent amount of people he could get lost with without fear something horrid happening. so finding himself letting loose after a controlled week wasn't something bad, it was odd if anything. he just didn't know how he found himself here every friday like clockwork without anyone even so much as trying to force him into it.

xxxof course this friday had been no different if anything dre was more looking forward to the normal 'house party'. it had been a long week. he knew for sure he was failing one class already, maybe two once he got his other test back, had an essay he couldn't be bothered with right now due on monday, not to mention trying to get out of the grips a past relationship he still let haunt him. so, saying he was patiently waiting for the moment to just let lose was an understatement. he was more like a prowling tiger who hadn't eaten in about a month. it was just so easy to lose yourself when surrounded by people who also either didn't care or just wanted to let lose too. he didn't have to think so much and honestly, that was his goal right about now. so he jumped, screamed lyrics, cheered others on with not so much as a thought on how he could possibly feeling the next day.

xxxhe was only pulled away from the action by a friend, insisting they go grab a drink before they pass out from lack of hydration. the kitchen had been much quieter than the previous room, if only by a sliver. audree eyed the few couples who kissed shamelessly int he kitchen before snickering and shaking his head; accepting the glass handed to him by his friend. the male only hummed in thanks, bringing the cup to his lips and gazed back into the other room. his eyes landed on a few he recognized, mostly those in his same year and shared more than one class with him. his stopped on one he wasn't entirely sure of, not knowing his name but was sure he'd seen it somewhere. even from the distance audree could tell they were worthy of a second glance.

xxxdre couldn't stopped himself from staring, worrying his bottom lip between his teeth. he wondered why he never noticed the guy before, was he new? did they share any classes? it was a tad creepy, he realized that fully. he didn't know this guy, never spoke to him as he could recall but he found himself wondering the oddest of things about him. "harrison everhart." his friend supplied out of no where, almost making the theater kid jump from his skin. "what?" he choked back, setting the glass down on the counter. "the guy, his name is harrison. and don't get your hopes up. he's straight." his friend once again stated, like it was the simplest topic in the world. "i was not--" he was cut off with a look and a snicker, audree rolled his eyes affectionately. "whatever, i need to go to the bathroom." he huffed, sending a short look to his friend before pushing himself off the counter and back through the other room.

xxxaudree couldn't help but to stare as he passed by who he had learned was harrison. just because the other was straight didn't mean he couldn't appreciate 'god's work' as his mother used to tell him. good lord, that woman could be so deranged sometimes. luckily the walk wasn't so far to the bathroom, and it was downstairs; points for audree, so he wasn't staring for too long. dre didn't want to come off as some sort of creeper. he hadn't really needed to go to the bathroom, but anything to get a moment to himself. dre eyed himself in the mirror as he leaned in the sink, letting out a small huff, he really needed to get back to dancing; at least then he wasn't thinking so much or 'creepily' staring at some straight guy.
