The Fall of Seven

[miko.]

Chiron frowned deeply "Tell me, why you've thought of asking for a quest. Tell me, why you? Tell me, what exactly is going through your mind right now?" He said all of those calmly but his gaze was quite demanding, he wanted to find out why this boy, of all people, wanted to do this quest.

[Darkminnow]

Jax looked around the room- at the knickknacks on shelves, The grape vines... He looked back at Chiron. "The barrier- no one has thought of how it broke down. I want to know. But, me and Adeline are the only ones who have thought of the fact that the serpent had to go through the barrier to get here. Maybe that's what the prophecy means- 'Seven half-bloods will take the fall'. Maybe seven campers will die because we didn't demand the quest sooner. Maybe... Maybe something happens on the quest, where it causes a chain reaction, therefor killing seven half-bloods." Jax looked down with a sigh. "I don't have anywhere to go. I practically live here. To lose the camp... It would be a tragedy."

[miko.]

The centaur was quiet for awhile before he smiled sadly "The camp is home to many as well. I'm sure you and Adeline aren't the only ones who thought of this." he adjusted himself on his wheelchair "There are things we have to discuss first before we set about to your quest. First, the members. Who will it be?" Regarding the words from the prophecy 'The Sun, the Darkness and the Fire' meaning a child of Apollo, of Hades and Hephaestus shall be boarding this quest. Clearly, it's already decided who the two will be, but what about the third member?"

[Darkminnow]

Jax sighed. "From Hephaestus," He muttered. "I'd say... Noah?" He asked. The guy was good with many things- Fighting, working, hiding, swimming... "Yeah, Noah." Jax confirmed. "What else do we need to think about?" He asked, tapping his fingers on the table. His ADHD was getting at him- he needed to run or something. Please let this be fast. He thought, getting impatient to leave the room.

[miko.]

The old teacher shook his head "No, I just wanted to hear what you have to say. Seeing as Adeline is passed out, there's not much we can do. Tomorrow morning, we'll see how she's feeling and discuss your quest further more." He gave Jax a small smile "You better get some rest now, I'll see you tomorrow morning."

[Darkminnow]

Jax nodded. "Yeah, yeah... Yeah, i'll see you then." He replied, standing. Jax exited the Big House and headed towards his cabin.

Falling. Falling, into the Vortex. The same dream- the same Vortex. The sun, blinking out. His breath, running out of breath. Dying. Waking up. The figure... The unmistakable figure of Kronos.

Jax woke suddenly. He closed his eyes. "It's just a dream." He told himself, settling back into bed. "It's just a dream."

[miko.]

The sun's rays were always welcome to Adeline but this time it proved to be a nuisance when she came to be, blinding her briefly when she opened her eyes. She looked around and saw she was in the infirmary, surrounded by the familiar faces of several Apollo children. She felt completely fine, nothing was sore, she even felt refreshed and fully rested which wasn't weird to her.

"Oh, you're awake."

Adeline looked up to see Michael giving her a small smile "You gave us a small scare last night with your scene."

"I did what?"

"You recited a prophecy."

Adeline was quiet for awhile, trying to recall if she really did that but couldn't seem to be able to do so. Michael frowned but continued on "Anyways, Chiron told me that you should head for the Big House when you're feeling better." with that he went off.

Scene? Recited a Prophecy?

Uhm, what?

Shaking her head, she stood up and started heading out to see Chiron.

Noah was standing in a circle of fire. "You came." He said to the figure before him. It was huge. "You came..." Noah repeated, looking up at it. "I will serve you." Noah said, bringing himself to his knees. "I will serve you." He said, looking up- up into the face of Kronos.

Noah woke slowly. He was laying in bed. The events of his dream had been so real... It was as if they were. Noah shook his head. "Of course it's real." He said with a smile. "It's real..." Noah grinned wildly. "Ugh, what are you talking about?" Leo Valdez called from across the room. "I'm tryin'a work, dude." He said. Noah rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Valdez." He muttered. Noah got up and walked to the bathroom. He changed, then exited the cabin for breakfast. He was a little early- but he didn't mind.

She waited by the steps to the entrance of the Big House. It was still empty. She scoffed, wasn't Chiron looking for her? Maybe he went out to get something. She placed her chin on her palm, surveying the camp. It was still pretty early so nobody was out yet. The quiet camp and the peacefulness, it almost made her forget about all her woes.

Almost.

A sigh left her lips as she closed her eyes, resting them for awhile as she waited.

Noah waited for breakfast. The mess hall slowly began to fill up with campers. And then breakfast started. Noah jumped to get a plate of bacon. "Mine!" Leo Valdez shouted, slapping Noah's hand away. Leo dove for the bacon and dumped half the dish onto his plate. Noah threw a rude look towards Valdez before grabbing a few slices for himself.
