indent Dragging his feet to the house's front door, Kevin sighed. He dropped his beige shoulder bag on the ground beside him, rubbing his forehead slightly. It had been a long day, and Kevin wanted to settle down at home and stretch his wings. Alone. Though, he never really stayed in a bad mood for long, as he believed negativity was a lingering feeling from Lucifer's devils hanging around. To most people, Kevin seemed like your average believer in a higher power, however, there was more to him than that. He was a fallen angel. No, he didn't exactly rebel or anything against Heavenly Father, he just.. Needed a break. Now here he was; on earth pretending to be human and surprisingly fitting in. He had been on earth for a month or so, maybe two. Kevin had lost track, but he didn't mind being on earth for longer than he probably should have been. He had grown to liking the place. Sure, sometimes it was difficult, but everything had some sort of difficulty to it.

indent Kevin was lingering at his front door for a little too long. Swiftly, the angel grabbed his keys from his pocket and unlocked the door. Picking up his bag, Kevin walked into the house, closing the door behind him quietly. He was finally home. He was able to relax for the time being, on his own with no distractions from other people around him. Or so he thought. Kevin did have the feeling of being followed on his way home, but he naturally brushed it off his shoulders. It was probably just him over-thinking things as usually. Well, he hoped his was just that.

Connor McKinley

Connor walked through unfamiliar streets, trying not to lose track of his target, hoping that he didn't look too out-of-place, and making sure that he didn't get spotted by the 'person' he was following. If anything, he knew that he should be feeling incredibly honored, but he was mostly nervous. For he was an angel, and had been given direct orders from the Lord himself to go and find the fallen angel, Kevin Price, and bring him back to Heaven. It had taken him two weeks to figure out where the fallen angel was, and now he'd finally found him. Now, here he was. Wearing a white shirt, black trousers, and pale blue tie, probably looking very much like a preacher. While he would have loved to have really spent time guiding lost souls - he could just sense them, from people that he walked by - he knew that he had to stay focused.

Finally, he'd spotted the fallen angel that he was looking for, just going into a house. Connor clenched his jaw slightly. This was really going to happen. He was going to have to approach that door and hope that Kevin Price answered it. He walked up to the door, and stood there, waiting for a few moments. What did he do now? He glanced around, slightly awkwardly, then he returned his focus to the door. He spotted what looked to be a small button, just to the side of the door, so he took a deep breath, and raised a hand. He pressed the button, and just faintly heard the chiming sound from inside the house. Now he just had to wait, he figured.

indent After changing into more comfortable clothes, Kevin sat on his bed flipping through channels on the small television across from the end of the bed. Nothing was really catching his interest. Most channels were playing advertisements at the moment, so he was mostly switching through to see if a movie or something was on, on the odd channel. He perked up when he heard the door bell, setting down the remote on his bedside table and leaving the television playing music from a music channel. The volume wasn't up loud enough to hear it unless you were close enough to the room. Heading downstairs, Kevin answered the door a little more quickly than anticipated.

indent "Hello..?" Kevin tilted his head slightly at the man standing before him, looking over him a briefly, not really spending too much time examining him. He didn't want to make it awkward.

Connor McKinley

"Um..." the door had now opened, and there was Kevin Price, in all of his Heavenly-angelic glory. In a completely friendly, platonic way, of course. At least, he convinced himself that it was. After a couple of moments, Connor cleared his throat, and straightened his posture slightly more - he was here on business, after all.
"Kevin Price," he started, addressing the fallen angel, "I've been sent here by Heavenly Father himself to bring you back to Heaven," there was, he reasoned to himself, no need for him to tiptoe around the subject.

Connor hesitated after that, though, because he wasn't sure of the reaction he would get. He was determined, though, to make sure that he followed his orders through. He only allowed for a brief amount of time to pass, to allow for his words to be registered by Kevin, before he quickly added, figuring that he should introduce himself, "Uh... my name's Connor McKinley, by the way,"

indent Kevin stared for a moment, nodding softly in understandment. He leaned against the door slightly, wondering what he was going to say next. If it were someone else, he probably would have been a little less calm about things. It made more sense to him now that he knew this other male was an angel. Kevin himself was dressed almost the same earlier as well. Naturally, he spent his time guiding other souls. Sure, he wanted a break, and that's what he did for the first few weeks. He didn't think he'd ever get over Disney World.

indent "Gosh.. I'm quite fond of this place nowadays.." Kevin responded simply, yet in a bit of a mumble, frowning slightly. He really didn't want to return yet. "Connor, was it? Would you like to come inside for a bit? Must have been a rough trip to find me." He stepped to the side, making enough room for the other to walk in if he wanted. The inside of the house looked organised and clean. There was his beige bag on the couch, and a trench coat sprawled over it, which looked a little out of place compared to everything else, but Kevin was a little lazy to bring the items upstairs. There was a simple coffee table, as well as an armchair, and a few pictures here and there. There was a doorway to the kitchen, next to it stairs and a hallway leading to the first floor bathroom. It was a very quaint little place the fallen angel had.

indent Kevin was mostly stalling, though. He hoped he wasn't making that obvious, though it was only common courtesy to invite people in. He didn't want to straight up refuse going with McKinley by closing the door in his face, that would only make things worse, and he didn't really have it in him to be that rude. He was an angel, after all. A fallen one, but still an angel. It was not going to make him look like a good angel if he were to act ill-mannered. That's not how he was taught to act, and he wasn't planning on making his teacher look like a fool for presenting a uncivil angel.

Connor McKinley

While he hadn't been quite sure as to what response he should have been expecting, Connor was still quite taken aback by the fact that Kevin had not agreed to go back to Heaven immediately. He supposed that he must have sub-consciously been hoping that this would have been something easy to follow through, rather than something more difficult. He was also fairly surprised at being invited into the house - though he figured that just being stood on the doorstep and talking might be something considering odd to humans.

"It was," Connor confirmed, then he added, "and thank you," agreeing to go inside the house. Perhaps it would help him to persuade Kevin to return to Heaven. He stepped inside, glancing around, somewhat in awe. Considering Kevin had only been away for a month or two, it really was quite the quaint, comfortable little place that he'd managed to get himself. He quickly pushed those thoughts away - he had to focus on the reason why he was here.

Drawing from what Kevin had said earlier, Connor asked, "What makes you so fond of this place?" he didn't ask it rudely - he was simply curious. He'd always considered Earth to be interesting, but at the same time, it seemed like a scary place, and not really one that he'd ever see himself touching down on for any reason.

indent Closing the door behind Connor, Kevin thought for a moment, thinking of an answer for the question he was just asked. There was a lot Kevin seemed to enjoy about earth, anything could really be an answer. He couldn't exactly pinpoint one thing he liked. And there was more to see than just Orlando, Florida. Kevin walked to the couch, sitting on the arm of it slightly. He turned his gaze back to Connor, shrugging a bit in response. He really couldn't think of a precise answer to the question.

indent "Well.. In all honesty, there's a lot to this place that's just.. Jaw-dropping." He spoke, "I thought it was scary at first but when you find your way around, it's actually really nice to just settle down for a bit." Sure, Kevin had only been there for a small amount of time but to him it was long enough to make him want to stay for a little longer. He was always curious about things, and this was no different.

indent Glancing toward the kitchen, Kevin paused for a moment. "Would you like anything to drink? Water or coffee, or anything?" He didn't intend on changing the subject, he was mostly just following what he learned when someone was at your house. "You probably don't want to stay for long, I just thought I'd offer.. You can sit down too, if you want."

Taking to looking around the house, not really bothering to hide his awe or the fact that he was so carefully examining the interior of the house, Connor didn't mind the wait for an answer. He was, though, a little anxious that this was not as easy as he thought it was going to be. Perhaps, though, if he went with the conversation, then it would get him where he needed to be. Besides, he was also kind of curious to find out what Kevin had learnt, while on Earth.

He nodded mutely, in understanding. He did think that Earth was scary, and he'd barely been here. Maybe he'd find it nice, but he certainly did not want to stay. Heaven was safer. Nicer. Why anyone would want to permanently leave was beyond him.

Connor looked confused for a moment, when Kevin asked him if he wanted something to drink. "...Coffee?" he asked, looking deeply uncertain, and as if he'd never heard of the drink before. Well, he hadn't. Then, he quickly shook his head, "Um... no, thank you," he answered - it must be an Earth-thing that had been picked up. "And no, I don't intend to stay long..." he hesitated, then asked, '...and you will be coming with me, right? To go back to Heaven?" Connor chose to remain standing for the time being - he was sure that this wasn't going to take too long.
