Am I asleep? There was bright lights everywhere as my eyes opened slowly. What time is it? I look to see a man in a white Jacket state back at me. “Who are you..?”
“I’m Doctor Maz. You’ve been... unconscious for six days.” He sighed and my eyes widened.
“Six days! Where’s Jeremy?!”
“Jeremy..?”
“The-the male who was here before me. Where is he?!”
“He left... and has come back once. He left your this.” He handed me An envilope with my name printed on it in cursive. I took it and nodded.
“Oh. Thanks.”

Dawn.
I know of your feelings for me. I never thought someone so beautiful and talented could ever love me, especially after all the things I've done to you. I don't deserve love. And you know a hero and a villain can't be together. I'm always trying to steal things, you're always stopping me... One moment we're almost friends, and the next we break apart. This is complicated. I hate to say it, but I like you too. A lot. I know by writing this, you'll probably realize how much of a useless nobody I am and forget my name. But I can't hide it. We can still fight - it's both of our jobs - but I promise I will never hurt you as I have again. Fighting causes injuries, but what I did, harming you at your weakest, was low, and I am ashamed of myself. I hope to see you soon on the battlefield.

My heart warmed. He likes me?! No way! Oh my gosh! What do I do? I begin to panic and I hold my breath, looking to see his address. Should I write back? Maybe. I don’t know when I am able to see him again, or do anything at all again. My legs are aching and I can tell that I can’t stand. I look and see a lined piece of paper on a desk next to the bed. I grab it and take a pen and begin to write. Once I’m done, I fold it up and put it in a small Emilio’s I found and write his address. I use my last bit of magic and transported the letter to wherever he was.

The letter appeared in thin air beside my head. I was sitting on the couch in my room, my eyes glazing over after watching at least seven seasons of a show I didn't like, waiting for Dawn to come talk to me or send me a message. And lo and behold, here it was! I switched the T. V. off and ripped the letter open greedily. I felt myself blush, and I sat down with my back straight and my shoulders back, neatly slicing the envelope open and taking the note inside out. I didn't need to behave like an animal. She could have written that she was going to kill herself, or that she didn't like me back despite my assumptions. I took a deep breath and began to read.

Jeremy,

Your letter surprised me. I wouldn’t have thought that you liked me at all. I’m annoying, foolish, and not even that pretty... but you see something in me. If you are wondering... I like you too. Like-like you. I don’t think I can fight for a while... not move. My arms ache as it is writing this letter to you, but I hope you take this seriously when I say this. I have liked you for quite a while, and as I kid, I did not mean to laugh at you. I laugh when I am nervous or embarrassed. I wanted to take you somewhere else and say thank you away from the others, but I was too late. I wish we could’ve been at the same school. The reason I said I never wanted to see you again was because my parents wanted me to say it. I love you, Jeremy. You make me smile even when you’re angry at me. I didn’t mean to hurt you, and I hope you aren’t in much pain. Once we get to the battle field again, I hope to beat you up. ^-^ Well, not too hard. Your more special to me than pretty much anything or anyone else.

If I had been blushing before, it was nothing compared to the onslaught of flush that dominated my face after reading the letter. It wasn't just from embarrassment; it was from happiness, sadness, understanding, and so many other things. I felt tears of joy prick my eyes. She hadn't hated me. And she doesn't now. She likes me. She actually likes me! I let the tears escape, and the red and blue lines on the paper I held bled together as the saltwater dripped onto it. I immediately wrote her another letter.

You do not know how happy you made me feel, how many unanswered questions were corrected, in your letter. You made me physically cry. I am still crying as I write this; I hope it doesn't show on the paper. Anyways, get out of the hospital. We should keep this all a secret for now. And there are probably fans and enemies of you waiting outside your hospital room right now. If you need help moving, I can come over right away and carry you if needed. If you can, teleport yourself to your house. These letters are incredible, but I need to see you in person. I want to see you because I love you, but also to assess your injuries. You've been asleep for six whole days, and your powers probably aren't even a trickle. If there is something wrong with you, I can tell; I have special filters for my eyes, and one is physical and mental health. Leave your door unlocked so I can get in without straining you to move. If you don't hurry, I might be waiting for you there.

My heart warmed from his letter, but I wasn’t sure why he wanted to see me in person specifically. I had to get out. I took a deep breath and focused on my task. Get home. Get home. Get home. I whispered to myself and before I knew it, my eyes were closed. I was out again... or so I thought. I woke up a few minutes later, but my surroundings were different. I was in my living room on the couch. I leaned my head back and groaned. I felt even worse than before... but it was worth it f I got to see Jeremy. Even if I’d talk to him for only a few minutes, it would work. I was too tired to even think. I closed my eyes and fell asleep as I waited for him to arrive.

I didn't get a response from Dawn, so I enveloped myself in darkness, and the bubble of blackness transported me to Dawn's house. I placed a filter over my eyes with my magic, and I saw warmth through the walls and followed it into Dawn's room. There she was. I took the filter off so I could admire her sleeping body. Poor Dawn. She had overworked herself to the max to save my life and obey the requests I had sent her in the letter. I thought about leaving and letting her rest, but as I dissipated the dark filter, a splatter of black matter landed on her cheek. I hurried over and tried to wipe it away before I left, but it was too late; I'd woken her up.

I looked up at him. His eyes were shining down on me, and I put my hand to my cheek to feel the strange dark liquid that was dripping down my chin. I began to wipe it off but it wouldn't budge. He place his hand to my cheek and his cheeks reddened before mine did. "You're here..." I was embarrassed. Did he actually like me? Or was he trying to trick me so he could get revenge? It didn't matter. His touch was warm and I got chills up my spine as he pulled me closer to him. He sat me up as he sat down next to me. His head tilted a bit as his smile emerged. Adorable. Handsome. Wonderful. I didn't know what to describe him as.

My smile stayed as the tears started dripping down. I didn't know why I was crying. It just sort of happened. She didn't seem to notice; my tears plopped into her poofy hair. All I could think about was, She cares. She cares. She cares about me. My parents drift through my head; they're gone. I've been alone for so long. And she likes me. It feels like a dream. How is this possible? The tears come faster, and a few land on her arms. At one points she had pulled me into a hug, but she let go when she felt the wetness on her arms. She looked up into my face, to see it flushed with red-rimmed eyes and tears staining my cheeks.
"Jeremy...?" she whispered.
