The Rivalry; 1x1 With GreenPanthr

Dawn

She nodded, hopping down the large tree. She landed on all-fours with ease. She wasn't scared of falling, nor was she good at it, but now and then she was lucky with her chances. "Oh. I've always been a house cat." She swished her tail, lying in a way. "I've only had owners. I don't think I have even seen a forest before." She made a sheepish smile, not sure if that was a bad thing. She enjoyed to lie about her abilities sometimes, or not say or mention them. Only some cats in the world were like her, but she didn't know if he was one too. She started to walk back towards the home with her long, agile stride. "C'mon. I'll race you to the couch." She hopped into a bolt and ran through the cat door, dodging items in the house to get to the large sofa in the living room.

Siffrin

"Hey! You got a head start!" Siffrin yowled, running after her. His muzzle smacked the cat door, and he winced, but he kept running to the couch. He ran around the coffee table, but he tripped over a shoe. "Ouch.." he murmured, not wanting Dawn to know he was hurt. There will be a bruise there tomorrow Siffrin thought, still running to the couch. Finally, he found the couch, but he didn't jump onto it. He just sat down and waited for Dawn.

[Trots]

Dawn

"Wait, what? How did you beat me?" Dawn made her way onto the couch and laid next to him, resting her head on her left paw. "That's not fair! I'm a crippled cat." She mumbled the last part and soon raised her head, hearing their owner walk over. The woman sat in between the two felines and began to stroke both their heads. Dawn meowed and rolled onto her back, enjoying the petting that was given to her. She closed her eyes and her mouth parted into a small smile, her tail flicking back and forth in satisfaction.

Siffrin

Siffrin purred as his owner pet him. When he was first adopted, he hated it and always hid under the couch when his owner was there, but he's gotten used to it. Siffrin leaned into the pet, enjoying the furless hand going over his furry head. He arched his back as the owner scratched his ears. "I probably beat you because I've been here longer." he meowed, licking his owner's hand. Siffrin yawned, stretching his legs until they quivered, and curled up into a fluffy ball, putting his tail over his nose. "G'night." he murmured sleepily, closing his eyes for a good night's rest.

[Trots]

She looked over to him, and closed her eyes again. “Oh okay, goodnight.” She slowly fell asleep as well, the petting making it easy for her to do so. (Sorry it’s short, I’m in the car)

Siffrin


It was the forest. The one where his whole life changed. Siffrin stood up and sighed "COME ON, BRAIN. I ALWAYS HAVE THIS NIGHTMARE. THE FOREST DIES, THE WHITE CAT DIES, THE KITTENS RUN AWAY. YOU CAN DO BETTER, BRAIN!" Siffrin shouted to his 'brain'. But he knew that he couldn't wake up until the dream was over, he had tried before. At this point, the dream was just annoying and not scary. He knew what would happen if he just didn't do anything. The dream would stay paused until he did something. Siffrin started walking around to trigger the dream. He watched as the dream got reset from the last time he had it. The trees stood back up, the kittens and the white cat went back into the den, and now all Siffrin had to do was walk back in, too. And he slowly walked into the cabin to start the dream.

It was raining, thundering if you will. The kittens screamed in fear. "What if a tree falls on us and hurts us?" One of the kits, Iumvs meowed in fear. Siffrin knew that he had to tell the kit it would be all right, but he couldn't. Too painful, knowing that it won't. Finally, he spoke up. "Don't worry, it'll be alright." He whispered softly into the kit's ear. She burrowed deeper into his tail. Then, the tree closest to the den started to creak. Siffrin knew it was going to fall, but he didn't in the dream. Coco, the other kit, shrieked in fear. Kwel, the white cat, quickly ushered the kits to go outside. "I'll be alright, just run, kits, RUN!" She screamed at the last part. The kits ran out and he followed, knowing that he wouldn't be able to find them later on. There was more creaking, and then a deafening SNAP! Siffrin turned around, bracing himself for what was about to happen.
There was more snapping,
And the tree
Fell.

[Trots]

Dawn

She never had dreams. If she did, they were short, and not about her. It was as if other people’s or animals dreams travel into her brain and let her see what others were thinking. That night, she got a glimpse of a cat who looked to be Siffrin, running with some Kits. She meowed loudly in her sleep, thinking she could call for him, but it did nothing accept make the dream fade away. She whimpered, hating when her dreams did that.

Siffrin

Siffrin blinked open his eyes. He hated that dream. Every time he wakes up from that dream, his heart is pounding, even if it wasn't scary while he watched it. He stretched his legs and stood up on the couch. He looked around. The light that was shining through the window was weak, so he figured it must be dawn. He looked over at Dawn. She was still asleep, and he didn't hear any of his owner's chattering. I must be the first one up Siffrin thought. He jumped off of the couch and ran through the cat door.

Outside, the grass was twinkling with dewdrops, and the air smelled fresh. It must've rained overnight Siffrin ran over to the pond. The birds were tweeting in the trees around the house, welcoming the new day. Siffrin lapped up some water from the pond and then ran over to the big oak tree and climbed to his favorite branch. The nightmare from overnight was soon forgotten, as Siffrin focused his mind on the new spring day. Siffrin started playing with the leaves that were resting on top of his head, shaking out his fur everytime a droplet fell on his pelt. He lay down on the branch and waited for Dawn to come out.
