RP between astrophilia and myself, centered around a pirate and a navy captain with some black-and-white-until-you-meet-your-soulmate thrown in

- still, he isn't afraid to show his emotions and doesn't bother to hide them.
- for a navy captain, he's rather quiet and prefers to spend time alone. only raises his voice when needed.
- well known for being one of the strictest captains in the navy. he's also known for his surprisingly violent temper. sailors know not to get on his bad side.
- born with a silver spoon in his mouth. grew up as the son of a famous actress and a wealthy lawyer in london. ended up running away from home to join the royal navy. he used his social status to his advantage and managed to climb up the ranks in the navy.
- really hopes to meet his soulmate one day, even if he doesn't know who they are.

⚘ history as a pirate ⚘

Louis started off his history of crime in the orphanage where he was raised, soon realising that it was easy to exert power over the other children to get his way. this promptly got him kicked out, and being on the street only caused him to increase his activities. soon, he found himself going along in a small boat, easily looting towns, appearing in the dead of the night, surrounded by mist and prowling among the streets. both this habit and a pretty crummy french play on words is what awarded him the name of "The Sea Wolf". from there, his popularity grew, and one day, after mistakenly attempting to steal from an extremely well-known pirate, Jonas Bones, he was admitted into his crew on the "Vermilion Sea".

To be fair, today coudl've been worse. Louis reflected to himself as he watched the remains of what had more or less been his home for the past dozen or so years sink into a weirdly calm sea.
The sea was calm, but the water and the wind were still cold, and he shivered, alone, on his plank of barely-floating wood. What a shame he had already shed his coat, rendered too heavy from the water. It was one of the finest things he had looted from the French navy, a captain's coat, threaded with apparently real gold and lined with silk on the inside. Now it was probably slowly sinking to the bottom of the ocean. He peered down sorrowfully before jerking his head up again at the sound of a squabble.
Some of the men from the navy were attempting to bind and drag onto a small boat one of his crew members to bring him back to the main ship. Much to their annoyance, he was trying to tip it over. Louis couldn't help but snort a bit in amusement at that. He didn't have the strength to fight back when they tied his hands and forced him on.
Too much fighting, and several nasty cuts, most prominently one across his lips, kept him back from protesting. No, he decided, looking up at the hulking ship that they were now approaching, I'll have to make a plan once I'm on board.

Soft whistles could be heard from Romulus as he walked down the deck of the ship. He acted as if he didn't command dozens of men to attack a pirate ship. A successful attack also. From a distance, he could watch as what used to be the pirate's ship sink back into the ocean. Despite his demeanor, he still limped with every step. In the midst of the battle, he'd injured his leg. He didn't break it, but he did earn a large gash on the side of his leg. It wasn't a wise choice to be out walking, but he wanted to revel in his victory. Romulus watched as his men gathered the pirates onto a small boat that was soon heading towards the ship. He decided that he wanted to give a small chat with them once they arrived on board.

As it turns out, trying to climb a rope ladder with your hands bound was very difficult. Louis was already on the point of collapsing from exhaustion when he finally hoisted himself to the top. But what really make him stumble and fall to his knees was a sudden burst in his vision. He had no idea what was going on. There was a swelling warmth in his chest and everything looked different. It was near impossible to describe, itwas as if his sight had taken on another dimension. Was this... colour...? Then if this was colour... Right before falling, he had glanced up, for barely a split second, at the ship's crew. Among them were quite a few he hadn't seen during the fight, including the captain. This couldn't be. This wasn't right. He hadn't planned for this at all! His soulmate couldn't be one of them. He winced as he sank down a bit, overwhelmed by how different everything was now. Some of his crewmates glanced over sympatheticlly, probably believing he had fallen on his wounds or something of the sort. He played the part, his mind still reeling. Thankfully, he hadn't looked suspicious, as the gross majority of pirates-turned-prisoners had stumbled rather ungracefully once on the ship.
