the jedi's survival instinct began to kick in. rey's eyes widened as she began to fall alongside the waterfall. she quickly put her feel out in front of her so she felt feet first. her hair flying wildly as she quickly slipped her lightsaber back into the small purse she had hid it in. she began to feel water droplets fly onto her face as she put her hands to her sides as she tried to slow herself down using the force. rey let out a strangled scream as she used all of her power to keep herself from hitting the water so hard that she would be killed. once she felt that she had slowed down enough, she knew she couldn't use her power any long. her eyes lids began to flutter, and the once power jedi fell unconscious. rey's limp body splashed into the lake below and began to sink below the surface. if no one we able to find her, then she would definatly drown.

a sudden splash and an almost inaudible scream broke him out of his daze, seeing the limp body of the scavenger collide with the water's surface. he eagerly awaited the resurface of the girl, narrowing his eyes after she didn't seem to do so. he threw off his black cape/robe, it falling by his side as he dove into the water. the water was cloudier under water than from above, but he could still make out the sinking figure of rey. he used a small bit of the force to speed up, putting his hands firmly on her shoulders as he began to swim upwards. he flinched, out of breathe quickly. he wasn't too used to swimming, so the struggle for air made his lungs burn and his throat sore. he finally breached the surface of the water, gasping for air as he hoisted rey on his back. swimming to the shore, he dropped her rather hard on the sand. he would lean down and see if she was breathing, and if not, he would begin to call his storm troopers over and push on her chest. ``we need her alive, or we won't find where the resistance is.`` he said, his voice deep and menacing.

floating, sinking, rey couldn't really tell. she knew she had to be in water. she couldn't really remember much that had happened besides her falling. her lungs were burning, her chest heaved for air but there was only water. she couldn't open her eyes, she couldn't forced her body to move. she could hear she sound of water around her and then, suddenly, she was moving. her eyes brown eyes opened a bit and she could see light above her. at this point, she didn't know if she was actually moving, if she was hallucinating or if she was dead. she felt herself being thrown to the ground, she started to cough up water and gasped for air. then everything started to come back to her and her heart sank. she knew what had happened and she knew what was happening now. her instinct kicked in again, rey needed to escape. she dug in her purse, trying to find her lightsaber but it was gone, and probably at the bottom of the lake. she began to pushed her soaked body backwards, trying to crawl away from ben and his stormtroopers.
