he found her blush to be cute it seemed like the whole time he had been laying here she had one he wondered if he was finally doing something right in her book. nodding he spoke "It would be a little hard for me to do anything for you in this state sorry" he watched her "tho I have to say I don't mind the idea of you looking after me" he added.

she looked at him sadly "I am not going to hurt you I have made this commitment to you... and as I told you he and I can't happen my father would kill him before I married a none royal" she told him again. Rubbing her thumb across his cheek she spoke again "I don't expect you to trust me right away but I do hope you will trust me eventually I am a woman of my word" she smiled lightly.

he looked at her "well well you sound as if you want me to win your heart" he grinned studying her face "I will do what I can" he told her. he wondered if maybe he had done this from the start offered to stop the war if he were to be allowed to court her would have worked much better than forcing a wedding on her.

she smiled and dropped her arms to her side "its set then" she said to him noticing a few guards coming up to them "looks like it worked" she whispered taking a step away from him.

"you two are coming with us... the king wishes to see you both" the lead guard said while the others took the two by the arms leading them to the castle.

"as I told you we have my army here to protect us and your people clearly we need to be more careful tho with who we trust" he reminded her. Looking at her he sighed "So long as we play things safe and my son solves the war threat we should be fine" he said trying to comfort her a little.

He glared at them both when they entered "I hear you two were spotted in the town... you caused quite the uproar" he said turning his eyes to his daughter for an explanation.

looking down she took a deep breath "we have been writing letters back and forth for a while when I went to his kingdom it was to finally meet him" she explained

Eyeing them both he spoke again "you sounded mad when you spoke of him just yesterday" he mused

When she mentioned courtship he stood up "Lock her in her room!" he demanded watching his shocked daughter get pulled away. Turning his attention to the boy he glared at him "Is this true are you courting her? If you are doing this to stop the war I will have you both executed" he barked angrily at him.

She nodded. "Right.." she still looked unsure as she lay facing the ceiling. She sat her hands on her stomach as she thought about the events of today. It made her want to cry and throw up at the thought.

"Murdering your own daughter won't help your Kingdom." He said firmly " I am courting her because I love her." Alexander didn't back down from this man " we only started to agree to this courtship a month ago. And yesterday was the first time I've saw her in a few months " he said

"so where would you like me to take you?" he asked trying to take her mind off the stresses around them. He looked down at her hating how upset she looked he never wanted her to cry.

He huffed while he had no real intention to kill her he took the boys comment on her life as a real sign he liked her. Rubbing the bridge of his nose he closed his eyes "last I heard she was smitten for a guard on a bordering Kingdom" he said trying to straighten details in his head.

She looked over at him "that's for you to decide " she said "I'd rather not court myself " she offered a fake half hearted smile ad she looked back up at the roof. She sighed softly . Evelyn pretends to itch her eye when she's wiping her tears

He shakes his head " it's a lie. I'm head of my guard in my Kingdom and the prince. Might have been me they saw " he shrugged it off lightly

"I already have a few plans I would like at least one day you decide what we do," he said and forced himself to sit up. Using his thumb he gently wiped a few stray tears away "I will do my best okay? You need to be strong too your people and yourself need you" he told her.

Huffing he glared at him again "If I find any evidence that you two are lying I will not hesitate to attack your kingdom and punish her" he said pacing back and forth. He didn't want the two spending any more time together if they were to get engaged it could compromise the whole war that was planned. He looked at the guard and told them "Keep Isabella locked in her room she may leave for no reason unless approved by me take the boy to a room across the castle and never let him out of your sight" he glanced over at him and huffed.
