he smiled "I'm fond of you... not love but very fond..." he said almost drunkly the pain getting to his head. Moving his hand he looked up at the roof "why did you never have kids?" he asked curiously his eyes following a light dancing across his gaze. After a second he closed his eyes listening to her waiting for her reply on his question.

"relationships are based on more than that," she said before realizing he was kidding around "oh.." she said sheepishly looking down with a small smile. Nudging him with her hip she asked "when you were flirting with me did you actually mean it or were you just playing with me?" she glanced at him from the corner of her eyes.

He nodded "understandable my wife couldn't have kids that's why we adopted Alex" he said thoughtfully. "I do hope to one day have one of my own tho" he added the idea or having another baby made him feel guilty it had been something he had never told his late wife.

"honestly because you scare me" she said stopping walking and looking at him she hugged herself and took a breath. Glancing away she spoke again "I don't want to be played with I'm giving up my love to save our people. While I will get hurt for them I truly don't want to" she told him.

She frowned " I'm sorry you couldn't have had one with your wife.." she knew what it was like.. her cousin was infertile and had had a shock when she was pregnant..but the baby was scrawny and almost died at birth " o-oh.." she blushed as she knew it would probably be with her.. she looked down " I don't want kids early on.."

he opened his eyes and looked up at her "That's fine you can choose when you want people can only force you to do so much" he said knowing he was one of those people. Breathing was starting to feel a little better now that the painkiller the doctor has administered was starting to work.

he moved to the side to give her a little more room when she asked why he thought for a moment "I wouldn't mind you are a good woman" he told her. putting his hand on her head he softly pets back her hair "do you think you could actually love me?" he asked her in return.

"I don't agree I think it is nice to love someone to know someone will always be there for you and care about you," she said looking at him. She looked forward "why do you feel that way?" she asked him curiously wondering if something had happened to him or his family.

she stopped and looked at him "that does not make you unloved plus you have a future you cant tell me you, wont love forever" going up on her toes she kissed his forehead. "if you marry me I promise I will be there for you for as long as I live and even after I die my spirit will stand with you" she took his face in her hands looking into his eyes.
