1x1 with Boomer and *~Blizzard~*

[Esther~]

Caspian glanced over at Alessa, noticing that she looked worried."Is something bothering you?"he asked as he stepped into the elevator, waiting for her to enter as well so they could proceed to make their way down to the first floor. From there it wouldn't take long for the two to head outside and afterwards she would soon be home. He was somewhat worried that she wouldn't like her new home, that she would instead grow to dislike it, but he knew that if that were the case he'd probably notice. He was very concerned about the child and did his best to try and understand her, and he didn't intend to stop, even after she had recovered. He intended to be a good father to this child, although the entire thought was a bit overwhelming, he felt he could handle it.

[Boomer]

"Hmm?" she asked, tilting her head slightly, "O-oh, um... n-no. I'm just... thinking." Alessa often got lost in her own thoughts. As the elevator door shut and brought them down to the first floor, Alessa prepared to move quickly. She hated the ER; there was just too much screaming and blood going on. The pup actually shut her eyes as the doors opened. She gripped onto Caspian's white coat, wanting him to guide her safely through the busy ER.

[Esther~]

Caspian decided not to press and instead remained silent, waiting for the elevator to stop, and soon they had reached their floor. At once he noticed Alessa's reaction, understanding why she would dislike this area, and gently placed his hand on her shoulder. He then led the way, being somewhat quick, but keeping a pace at which the pup could follow in her weakened state. Once they reached the main doors he pushed them open and quietly stepped outside."Alright, we're outside now."

[Boomer]

Alessa opened her eyes once he said it was safe to. She heard shouting, then looked down the sidewalk to see three pups and their mother walking towards the hospital. "You don't know what you're talking about!" yapped a small blonde pup. Her brother rolled his eyes and pushed up his glasses. "It isn't my fault that you're mistaken once again." he muttered. The other pup looked to her mother and sighed softly. The two pups stopped arguing when they spotted Caspian and Alessa. "There's a doctor." said Cybil, flicking her stubby tail, "Maybe Mom will work with him?" "Or for him..." mumbled Vincent with slight disdain. Cynthia sighed as she turned once more to Mary. "How come we can't stay home?" she asked. "You're three, I'm not leaving you all by yourself." answered Mary.

Caspian was about to keep moving, wanting to get Alessa home so he could introduce her to her new home, but the sound of shouting stopped him. He turned his gaze to spot the family of four and quickly noticed that the pups seemed discontent with being here. At first he assumed they were here to visit somebody that was still recovering and unable to leave, but he caught a bit of the conversation and understood that the mother worked here. If that were the case then these kids could come by often and that would make it easier for Alessa to befriend other children, something that would be much more positive in her life right now."Seems like you have a handful there."he spoke up, deciding it would hurt to engage in conversation."How old are they?"

Alessa stayed behind the doctor as he turned to speak. The pups stopped as Caspian looked to their mother. "We're three!" yapped Cybil, looking up at him, "I'm the oldest by a couple weeks... premature, or something like that." Vincent nodded as for once Cybil was right. For as young as they were, they could speak fairly well. Cynthia took a hold of her mother's paw. Mary sheepishly looked to Cybil and Vincent before glancing to Caspian. "Ah, yes... Cybil is correct." said Mary softly, "She wasn't developing enough with her siblings." Vincent took a step back and stood in front of his mother as she offered her paw to Caspian. "My name is Mary Shepherd, the new pediatric charge nurse." she said softly. She could tell by the white coat that Caspian was a doctor, she wasn't sure which department he worked in, however.
