dan rolled his eyes at his friend’s typical teenage actions. ”wow charlie, congrats. next time, try talking to her. i know its hard but its worth a shot” he said in a dry, sarcastic tone, rolling his eyes once more as he leaned back against the seat. soon enough they would be in hogwarts and he couldn’t wait.

noah quirked an eyebrow at the news, feeling a slight pang of jealousy that she quickly dismissed as mild curiosity . ”nice. shame you didn’t stay in contact” the brunette replied simply, turning her head to gaze out of the window. the train had finally started to move, leaving the crowd of waving parents behind them.

"Yeah talk to me when you can actually get a girlfriend." Charlie huffed as he looked over his shoulder to the window. He waved off his parents for a moment and then look at Noah " so...Hows about you Noah?"

Robin was suddenly silent..she looked down at her feet for a good while before glancing at Daniel for a little moment. She bites her cheek and sighed " I...am...hungry" she groaned "when aren't you ?" Charlie quickly said

dan laughed lightly in charlie’s responce, dropping the subject almost immediately as soon as it turned to him. the boy nodded in agreement to robin’s words, his stomach rumbling quietly at the thought of food. ”yeah me too. we can go find the food cart?” he offered, searching his pockets for spare galleons. ”want anything?” he asked, turning to look at charlie.

noah gave a small smile as she thought over her holiday ”umm ... me and my parents flew over to cuba to visit some of dad’s old friends. apart from that, nothing else exciting happened” she replied with a small laugh, realising that she could of done a lot more during the summer holidays - which she did. she had spent the majority of her time revising and studying an assortment of spells; but she wasn’t going to tell them that.

Charlie shrugged " eh.. nah I'm alright " he smiled a little " thanks anyway mate" he lay back and pt his hands behind his head " I'm actually full cause unlike someone..I ate my breakfast" he looked at Robin " Oh cuba" he looked at noah"never been"

Robin blushed when Daniel laughed... he obviously thought she was a joke didn't he? "I-I have a few spare Galleons " she said as she pulled about 4 out. "Saved up" she shrugged " anyway are w-we going..?" She looked at Daniel...just her..and Daniel Potter..

the brunette simply nodded and exited the compartment, waiting for robin to follow him before he closed the door. in his hand was around five galleons; more than enough to get some jelly slugs and a glass of iced pumpkin juice. ”what are you going to get?” dan asked, looking over his shoulder before making his way towards the front of the train, guessing that the trolley lady would still be in the first few carts.

noah nodded and smiled softly ”yeah it was great” she muttered. noah was never one to find socialising easy (hence the resson why she loved books so much) and nervously started to fiddle with a bracelet around her wrists, having no idea on what to say next.

"I-I dunno.. I don't get sweets very often." She looked down "maybe.. oh! Chocolate frogs!" She smiled "I love chocolate fro-oof!" She bumped into malfoy
"Well well..another Weasly." He spat " you're not as ugly as the others but you're still a ginger."
"You're as ugly as any slytherin, Malfoy" Robin snapped at him
"Shut up. Your robe is too big for you. What's wrong Weasly? Can't afford a decent hand me down?" He shoved her shoulder and laughed at her. Crabe and Goyle laugh at her as well. She frowned, her confidence slipping away from her.

"Hm." He moved to sit next to her " bracelet? I thought you would be more of a necklace type of girl" he teased her in a playful way, his freckled cheeks dusted with a blush. He smiled at her and his dimples looked prominent

daniel was about to say something in agreement to her chocies before they were stopped by none other than the prince of slytherin himself, malfoy. the brunette had to stop himself from rolling his eyes; for a thirteen year old, his insults and statements were childish. ”can’t afford a decent insult, malfoy?” the gryffindor finally spoke up, getting annoyed over how he thought he could pick on robin so easily ”or are they so bad that you’re forced to only use them ln first years? you’re looking rather pathetic right now, unsuccessfully picking on a first year. got nothing better to do with your time?” dan kept his voice monotone and careless, not letting his natrual impulsive behaviour say something he shouldn’t.

to say noah was shocked would be a small understatements - she had expected him to just ignore her until their friends came back, not sit next to her. a light blush started to form on her cheeks as the brunette lightly shruggeed, trying to ignore said blush. ”necklaces are too ... girly”

She was surprised he stood up for her, she held his robe sleeve nervously as he spoke.
"Can't your little girlfriend defend herself Potter?" Malfoy sneered " also I'm not forced, I can do what I want." He smirked
"Just leave us alone Malfoy! " Robin spoke up
"Shut up mud blood. No one asked you" he growled and stood closer to Robin who stood closer to Malfoy " fight me" she snapped "fi-fight you!?" He laughed " oh how adorable ! The ugly little weasly wants to fight me" he laughed. "Girls can't do spells as good as guys" he smirks
"I never said anything about spells ." She cracked her knuckles . Anger filled the girls body as she was ready to strike malfoys face

"Robin likes them. She only has one tho. Got it for Christmas this year.. has her anitials on it" he smiled a little bit "so..eh.." he looked at her " remember last year when..you know came back? Do you think he'll come back again.?"

at the sign of things about to turn violent, daniel turned around to face robin for a moment and gently pulled her so she was standing behind him ”he isn't worth it. dont waste your time on prats like him” he muttered before he turned around to face the slytherin once again.”mud-blood?” he echoed quietly before he allowed a mocking laugh to leave him ”your blood is far from pure malfoy. aren’t you destined to marry your cousin a in couple of years?” daniel questioned in a mocking tone before he pushed past the trio of slytherins, holding robin’s hand so she would follow him. ”prat” dan muttered under his breath, glaring at the floor as he walked along the train. people like malfoy really knew how to get on his nerves.

noah sighed lightly and leant her side against the window. the question was bound to come up eventually, she just wished it hadn’t. after a few moments, the girl nodded ”well ... yeah, i do. he’s still out there, somewhere. and he’s the greatest and most feared dark lord of our time - he’s not just going to retire and live a quiet life”

Robin blushed as he held her hand. She grasped it back and smiled a little as she walked by his side.

Charlie looked down with a sigh.. " well.. were nearly here so I don't think that ol voldie will be here to welcome us" he chuckled with a smile
