Removing her head from his shoulder, she sat up and looked away. " your right. That does sound ridiculous and weird. Stupid, no, but weird definetly.... Though at this point I'm not quite sure what to think anymore. I repeat though that I'm not sure I want to know the reasoning of the flashbacks. It might be something we don't want to know. " standing up slowly, she leaned against the wall, not quite sure what to do at this point.

Each species has done things threatening to the other, but there has to be a way for each species to get along. Though..i do think your kind could take the time to get to know those of us who aren't attacking them. We're not monsters. "I know, but it wouldn't hurt to find figure it out." he said, growing more and more determind to understand all of this. He watched as she stood and leaned against the wall before glancing away. The boy sat there for a little bit before letting out a sigh,"Alright, we should... get a few things sorted out. You're one hundred percent positive you wanna stay in a hotel?" he asked, looking back up to her. "And you're sure you don't want to go back home? To at least gather a few of your things? Unless you wanna keep wearing my clothes, I don't really care." he said, fighting back the urge to grin.

"Really? No offence but... that's kinda unexpected coming from you..." Harper mumbled,"I wish... your kinda was, I dunno, maybe more... polite? Instead of hunting us like a piece of prey." she said, thinking back to the vampire from before. She gave a sigh and started to walk,"Anyways, where's this castle? I've never even seen it before." she said as she glanced back at him.

'" of course I don't want to stay in a hotel. I just moved here and haven't been able to find a job, but I can't exactly go home either, and no offense but the couch provides no room for arm space. " no offense taken. Please understand though I must keep appearances as not to be killed. I must admit I was also rather irritable and hungry, but.. that's not an excuse, I know, so I apologize. I agree my kind could be more polite, but... It was your kind that made us this way. They turned against us just because there were a few rouge vampires. Even people they had known their entire life, even family, that had secretly been vampires they shunned. Then the hunters began appearing...hm.... the castle is in the center of the forest. "

Daniel laughed as he got to his feet,"Alright, well, I don't have a car right now so we'll have to walk," he said,"But, your house shouldn't be far from mine, considering that you showed up on my porch last night." he grinned at her as he began towards the door. He felt a rush of relief, she wouldn't be in any danger here and he felt better knowing she was closer to him. Which was... a bit weird, since the boy barely knew her, but he hoped it wasn't his vampire instincts talking. He hadn't had any human blood in a few days, but he told himself he'd have to make do with cows' blood for a little longer.

Harper let out a soft sigh,"I'm... I didn't know.... I'm sorry. I shouldn't've provoked you last night anyways." she apologized. It was very rare to hear Harper apologize to anyone, so this was a rare moment. She fidgeted with the straps of her bags,"I've never been that deep into the forest." she said, looking up at the blue sky."I've always wondered what I'd find if i went deep enough, but I'm glad I never really attempted it. I'd probably be dead now." she sighed, shivering a bit at the thought. "Not that you'd care, though." she muttered under her breath and looked at the ground as they walked.

" correct, it's not too far. I probably would be missing had this place been further away. " stretching slightly, she turned to face him. " though you make it sound like I'm a lost kitten out in the rain. " From there she followed him outside. " it was weird.... I remember I first his under a car.. his feet were there one moment, then they just.. disappeared. Then he reappeared again suddenly when I was knocking on your door." It was true. The guy just.. vanished into thin air. Though, at this point nothing should seem surprising. " I dunno.. maybe I should just save up a bit and move to a different town.. so far this town seems crazy and..unnatural.

" it's alright, I should've acted in a more civilized manner. You'll never trust me now " he sighed before continuing to walk. " your correct, it is a good thing you never ventured far into the forest. They don't like humans approaching the castle ' just because they were curious '. Would've gotten you a place as a food source, or killed. Though I would much more prefer to be killed then be there food " continuing the journey, he stretched. " would you prefer a cab than lugging around your belongings?"

"True, true. And it was raining," He snickered as he went outside, the air was cool and crisp and the sun shone brightly. He yawned, already feeling fatigued by the light. "That is pretty odd, maybe he had superhuman speed or something." he said, shoving his hands in his pockets. He was right though, and she would probably take it as a joke. All vampires had abilities that were more amplified compared to the average human. The boy gave a little laugh,"I'd move too, If I could, but... this place is my home." He said with a small sigh,"I'd love to move to the city, but that place has way more creeps in my opinion."

Harper gave him a small smile and shrugged,"It's fine, I half forgive you." she said,"And I'd probably rather die than be food too,". She knew they would treat her near as nice as Kio was treating her, and that was what she feared when they reached the castle; That she'd be taken and locked away, used as a food source. She was so lost in thought about it she almost didn't hear Kio,"Ah, no, it's alright." she huffed, shifting the bags to her other shoulder. "I need the exercise, I've been slacking a bit with my workouts." she said, half lying. She would love a cab, but she truly was slacking on her workout schedule. Plus, she didn't like people giving or offering her things unless she demanded it, she was just weird that way.

. '' Your kidding, right? Superhuman abilities are only something out of fantasy. Not possible...'' she spoke, beginning to walk. ''Ya...your closer to a hospital and help, ect, in the city. Though I do agree there may be more creeps...but, i used to live in a city... i didn't have this problem there...so..i'm concerned this town might just be really messed up. I dunno....but i also understand not wanting to leave home. home's important.''

''Alright. I can live with that amount....'' he then smirked. '' I need the exercise', said the woman who was just running a long ways last night, hmm? '' He asked with a smirk. '' don't worry to much though. i can see how tense you are. It'll be better for you if you keep calm, relax a bit, and slow down your heart rate. Right now it's going a million miles per hour. Fear only increases our vampiric instincts.''

Daniel laughed,"Obviously, superhuman stuff isn't real," he said, lying through his teeth once more. "And you do have a point there, there are some really weird people here. Maybe it's a small town thing." He added, walking along beside her. He knew that she'd figure out about the people in this town and what they were, and what he was, but he hoped she wouldn't catch on anytime soon. He liked having her around, even if they'd only known each other for barely a day. He looked at the houses they walked past, some two-story houses mixed in here and there among all of the small one-story houses.

Harper rolled her eyes and let out a deep sigh,"Fine, whatever." she huffed,"I'm sure you're the one that actually needs the cab, you're just using me as an excuse." she sneered, dropping her bags to the ground. She stretched, raising her arms to the sky and bending back a little bit. A few popping noises were heard and she let out a satisfied sigh before picking her bags up again, one in each hand. "That's great. It's kinda hard to be calm when you're going to a place with nothing but vampires." She said as she poked a rock on the ground with the tip of her shoe.

So she picked up a rock by the porch and used the spare key to get in. " um... you can come in and.. hang out on the couch. I'm gonna run and pack some stuff. "

" nah, I like nature. But what kind of gentleman makes a woman walk through the forest with her luggage?" He asked as he pulled out his phone. " I understand it will be hard to stay calm, but it's of your best interest..." sighing gently he reached into his pocket and pulled out a knife, setting it on the ground and backing away. " the knife of a hunter. It can injure us and prevent our healing. A thorough strike to the heart or brain will kill us. A wooden stake through the heart, however, will only paralyze us until someone pulls it out. "

Daniel watched her remove the key from under the rock,"Okay, take your time, there's no rush." he said, walking into the house after her. He looked around as she went to pack, taking in the contents of the house. It looked pretty normal, but... it didn't look very... lived in. He walked to the couch and sat down, sinking into it and letting out a relaxed sigh. This couch was way more comfortable than the one at his home, it was a lot softer. He tapped his fingers on the arm of the couch and began thinking about what he should do, having another person in his house would take getting used to. He'd have to change his routine a bit too since he still relied on human blood, he didn't want to prey on her like the other vampires do to humans. He didn't want to be like them.

Harper snorted and rolled her eyes,"I guess you have a point, but I still could've made it on my feet just fine, it would've taken a bit longer than riding a car though." She said, watching his hand as he pulled something out of his pocket and set it on the ground. She was surprised that he'd given her a weapon that she could use to kill him and his kind. "Why would you give me this?" she asked, picking it up and looking at it carefully. "How do you know I won't kill you?" she asked as she looked at him, twirling the knife in her hand. He must trust her enough, but why?
