" thank you... Daniel " she spoke taking a moment to remember his name. " no need to apologize.. you had no control over it..likely none of this would have occured if it wasn't for that girl.... none the less, thank you for letting me stay here for tonight.. it's appreciated..." afterwards she waited for him to leave, and debated for a few minutes. In the end she decided to change into the dry clothes. They did end up being quite oversized on her, but at least they were dry and warm. Afterwards she attempted to sleep again... but she ended up having the nightmares again. The silhouette. The blood. The screams. The fanged smile. She let out a slight yelp as She woke from the nightmares. Panting slightly from the sudden wake, she curled up, hidden beneath the covers, shaking slightly. Why wouldn't the nightmares leave? Oh well... shed just have to try her best to sleep, even if it was filled with nightmare. Lack of sleep wouldn't help her if she had to do any more running In the next few days .

" he then smiled back at her slightly. " id rather not go home right now, so I'll be guarding you as you sleep. Good night, Harper. " the others weren't happy about his sneaking off to low class restaurants. He'd been in for quite the lecture when he returned. Therefore he was going to hold off as long as possible. Besides, he had to be sure his human would be safe. In the end he climbed inside her room, curling up in the far corner to sleep. ( sorry if short, on mobile)

Daniel slept for maybe an hour throughout the whole night, unable to calm himself. Why was he so paranoid, another vampire wouldn't dare to break into another's house, it was his territory. At 7 he opened his eyes, sunlight filtered in through the curtains and birds chirped loudly outside. He yawned and shoved the covers off of himself before sitting up, staring straight ahead as his brain caught up with the rest of his body. He blinked slowly and ran a hand through his crazy bedhead, his eyes felt puffy and droopy. He sighed and forced himself out of bed, slowly opening the door to not wake the sleeping girl on his couch. His stomach growled and he winced, he hadn't eaten anything last night and his stomach was reminding him that. He needed blood, but he also wanted to make Ayumi breakfast. He sighed and tiptoed to the kitchen and opened the fridge, taking a carton of what looked like milk out, and unscrewed the cap. He took a few big gulps of the 'milk' (it's blood lol) before putting it back in the fridge. He then took out a couple eggs and some bacon. From there he made her breakfast and saved a few pieces of bacon for himself, which he happily munched on as he brought her the plate, setting it on the floor. "Hey, good morning Ayumi, I made breakfast. It's not much but it's all I had..." he said softly before putting another piece of bacon in his mouth.

Harper thought a moment,"That is....really beautiful, I had no idea..." she trailed off,"And no, you didn't." she smirked. The girl made her way to her bed and slipped in, laying on her side and pulling the covers up to almost her face. "Alright, whatever," she said tiredly, "Just don't watch me sleep." she let out a sigh and lay there for a bit, her eyes half open as she watched Kio. Before she knew it she was waking up the next morning, a breeze rippled through her room from the half-open window. Her brows furrowed in confusion and she rolled onto her back, that's when she saw Kio sleeping in the corner of her room. "When the hell...?" she whispered to herself, sitting up quickly. She grabbed one of her pillows and threw it at him,"I never said you could come in!" she hissed.

slowly opening her eyes, she yawned as she sat up.
" ..erm.. thank you, Daniel.. but you really didn't have t-" She paused. As he took a bite of the bacon, she could've sworn he had fangs. Nah probably just her tired self imagining things. " seriously.. it's alright. You didn't need to make me any food. I needed to leave once it was daylight anyways, and figure out what to do about what happened... " it was true. She was afraid to go home... maybe shed have to stay in a hotel for a while.. probably be for the best. Money was tight, but... it was safer. She also couldn't help but recall the images from her nightmares. There was just something so.. so real about them. And familiar. They didn't seem like mere nightmares. Sighing gently she began eating the food she was provided. " thank you.. Daniel. " her mind then went to the guy who had broken into her house. There was something.. weird about him. " Daniel... did that guy seem kind of..i dunno, strange, to you? " she asked casually, avoiding eye contact. " and.. may I ask for a cup of water? "

For once he was sleeping peacefully. Well, that was, until he was hit with a pillow. Groaning he moved the pillow to under his head. " wha t, so you expected me to sleep in a tree? It's not like I slept next to your bed , I chose the furthest corner for a reason you know. " he grumbled, turning his back to her. " just give me. A few more hours..." already half asleep again. He really didn't want to get up. But he also didn't want to have another pillow thrown at him. " what? Afraid mother dearest is gonna find me and get the wrong impression? " he asked jokingly smirking as he did so. " believe me, I hear her coming I'm out. I'm soooo not in the mood for lectures and yelling. Speaking of which, could you, oh I dunno, try not to yell so much?

"It's no problem, so don't worry," he said, finishing the bacon. He let out a sigh and nodded,"Yeah, I understand. It's a lot to take in..." he muttered. The boy crossed his arms and thought about her question referring to the guy last night. She'd probably freak if he told her that the guy was a vampire like him, but she'd find out eventually and it wouldn't be pretty when she did. He also had a small thought that she wouldn't believe him. "Yeah, he did," he said before making his way into the kitchen and getting water for her. He handed it to her and sat on the floor in front of the couch. "He was strange... The things he said were really odd." Daniel said, self-aware that he was lying to her face. He knew what the guy had meant, but she didn't have the marks.

Harper rubbed her eyes and sighed,"No, I wasn't expecting you to sleep in a tree" she said, halfway lying. She honestly had expected him to sleep in a tree. She crossed her arms and glared at him,"I'm not necessarily worried about that, she wouldn't be all that surprised." she said with a laugh. "I'm not in the mood for one either, pretty boy, and you're just gonna have to get used to it." The girl rolled out of her bed and shivered as the cold breeze hit her. She padded over to the window and shut it, pulling the curtains back over it. "Just a couple more hours," she said, looking down at the boy nestled in the corner.

" thank you" she spoke, before slowly sipping away at the water. " but yes... he did say some pretty weird things.. like ' unmarked ', whatever that means.... almost made it seem like he wasn't human, which is impossible. " well, it was impossible.. right? Frowning to herself, she set down her empty plate, curling up again. The nights events and her recurring nightmares still bothering her. " so.. any idea on what I should do? Besides stay in a hotel for a while and tell the police what happened? Because I honestly..i don't know what to do... I can't exactly go home, not back to my adoptive parents.. but I can't return to my house either.. I know nobody here besides you and that girl with a death wish. "

" awww, so you do care about me. I'm touched. " he smiled slightly. " well if your not in the mood for a lecture, maybe I should lecture you, just to get on your nerves. Also, if you insist on calling me that, I'm calling you death wish. I think it seems fair and fitting, yes?...but , non the less, thanks for letting me crash here for a few more hours...." it wasn't long before he dwell asleep again, calm and peaceful in a corner. He looked rather gentle, the way he was sleeping. Almost looking like a pale human.

"You're welcome." He said with a smile, which slowly faded as she mentioned the word. unmarked. She was part of the small population of humans that lived in the town who was unmarked. Vampires were constantly after unmarked humans. He drew his legs up to his chest and let out a sigh,"Well, I wouldn't mind letting you crash here. It's a lot safer than a hotel, and cleaner." he mumbled. "The police probably wouldn't... be able to do much. We don't have a clear picture of the guy's face." The police in the town were also vampires, so reporting another vampire would only draw more attention to Ayumi and the fact that she was unmarked. He stretched his arms out in front of him and groaned, one of his shoulders popped loudly. "Honestly, I think we should just watch out for the guy and if he tries anything, I'll mess him up for you." he giggled, a lazy smile on his face.

Harper rolled her eyes,"If you call me that I'll throw another pillow right at your head," she said, smirking. "Anyways, I'm going downstairs to get something to eat." she watched the boy as he drifted back to sleep, looking peaceful and almost human. She sighed before turning away and walking out of her room, closing the door behind her. She padded down the stairs, careful to not alert her mother of her arrival. She almost jumped out of her skin when she walked into the kitchen as her mother sat at the kitchen table, eyeing her suspiciously as she sipped a cup of coffee. "Good morning, sweetheart." she said, her voice a little too sweet. "How'd you sleep?" Harper just stared,"I slept great, mom. Why do you ask?" she said, a deadpan look on her face as she put a couple of slices of bread into the toaster. "Well..." her mother began, taking another sip of her coffee."I heard you talking last night, you don't... you didn't ha-" Harper cut her off by slamming a drawer shut, wielding a butter knife. "I was talking to myself, you know I do that mom," she said, setting the knife on the counter. "Why would you assume that anyways?" she growled, but her mom just sighed and sipped her coffee.

The kitchen was silent for the rest of the time Harper was in there, eating her toast slowly and shooting suspicious glances at her mom. The girl made a cup of coffee before retreating back up to her room, opening the door gently and closing it behind her. She took a sip of the coffee before sitting it on her bedside table, the smell of it filling the room. The girl then rummaged through her closet looking for something to wear, eventually deciding on a pair of light skinny jeans that looked like they'd been ripped to shreds and a grey tank top with a maroon and black flannel shirt. She didn't want to risk the boy in the corner peeping while she changed, so she did so in the bathroom. She stared at her reflection, hard, asking herself why she was letting a vampire boy sleep in her room.

Blushing slightly, she avoided eye contact. " thank you, but... I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that idea. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate you saving my life, but... I'm just not sure I'm comfortable with that. I hardly know you, and no offense, your a guy. You make a point it might be safer and cleaner, but still... besides, I wouldn't want to over stay my welcome. ... " sighing gently she curled up tightly on the couch, truly frightened of the future. " but.. You also make a semi decent point.. but I did get a glimpse of his face.. he had white hair and red eyes.. I remember that much. " she then smiled at him slightly. " thank you for saying you'll protect me, but let us hope such chivalry is not needed. "

" is that a threat or a promise death wish?" He had asked jokingly before he fell asleep. A while later he woke up, though he didn't wish to get up. In the end though he did, it was grudgingly. " yeash. You look scary right now death wish. " he joked, stretching as he stood. " thanks for letting me crash here. I suppose I will take my leave for now. Will I see you around causing mischief today, hmm, deathwish?"

Daniel nodded and sighed,"Yeah, you're right..." he mumbled," If you ever feel unsafe, though, my house is open to you." he said. She probably found it odd he trusted her so much, but he could tell she couldn't do any harm. Plus, she was being hunted and he somehow knew her. "He also had a creepy voice and was a little bit shorter than me." he added, smiling a little. "And yeah, you're right. I don't really like to fight... unless it's necessary, of course." he said, looking up at her as he reached for her plate and got to his feet. Plate still in hand, he stretched,"I can help you find the cleanest and cheapest hotel around here if you want, I know of one that's not too far from here." he said, making his way to the kitchen to clean up the mess he'd made making breakfast.

Harper returned to the room and glared at the vampire in the corner," Thanks, that's exactly the look I'm going for." she said, walking to the bedside table and grabbing the coffee cup and her phone. "You probably will, knowing how you love to stalk me." she smirked and slipped her phone into her back pocket. She drank the coffee quickly, knowing in a few minutes she'd be basically vibrating from the pent-up energy running through her body. "What about you, pretty boy? What're you gonna do on this wonderful day?" she asked, wiping her mouth.

"Umm... thank you i think..." she spoke nervously. Afterwards She stood as well. " you know this town better than I do... so, yes, I would appreciate your help in finding a hotel. It would be much appreciated. As he looked at her, she prepared to say something until a jolt of pain went through her head. She let out a noise, bending over slightly and grabbing her head. Images flashed through her head, but she couldn't make any of them out. Well, all but one. An image of a young boy smiling at her.. and in a way, he almost looked like what could be a younger version of Daniel?"

" hmm... I dunno I don't know. You get bored after a while of living forever. Who knows, I might go sky diving. Not like it can kill me anyways.... none the less I'm not stalking you, I'm protecting you. Just because I claimed you doesn't mean everyone will obey the rules. Your human, your always in danger here. " he sighed, placing his foot on the window ledge. " anyways, if you need anything you should be able to find me.

Daniel dropped the plate, eyes wide as he turned to see Ayumi double over in pain. "Ayumi! Are you alright?" he asked, rushing over to her. She was holding her head, maybe it was a headache? A migraine? He didn't know what to do. "U-uh... just sit down!" he said, placing his hands on her shoulders and gently guiding her so that she was sitting on the floor. He watched her, a look of concern on his face. He wondered if she was having a flashback like he had, it would explain the sudden headache.

Harper snorted at the skydiving bit,"That sounds pretty fun, actually." she said with a laugh. Her smile faltered a bit, he was right about her constantly being in danger. She had to be on higher guard than she usually was just in case another vampire decided to have a taste, but hopefully, they'd ignore her like they had been for all that time up until Kio. The girl let out a sigh,"Alright, I'll see you later, pretty boy." she said, watching him leave. Harper glanced to the corner of her room where the vampire had been sleeping, contemplating whether or not to clean up the blanket nest or leave it. She decided to leave it since she had a feeling the vampire would be visiting often. She turned and left her room, making her way down the stairs and out of the house. She pondered what she would do for the rest of the day, maybe walk around and see if she could test her vampire spotting skills? Nah, she didn't have any. She settled on walking through town and seeing if there was anything she could vandalize or set fire to, a usual past time for Harper.
