She jumped hearing his voice, but upon seeing him hugged him tightly, listening to him speak. " and how exactly is leaving this town a bad thing, might I ask?" She questioned, personally wanting to leave.

Instead of making any comment about her reaction to the needle, he was silent until it was done. " alright, can we have a car or not? "
With a shrug Akateko tossed him some keys, and pointed to a door before going about his own business. " come on harper, let's go."

"I... it's where I grew up and... the house is, well... it was a gift from my father," he said, really meaning the old vampire that had raised him. He gave a small sigh,"It's fine, though. I could care less about it now, all I care about is your safety." he hugged her back tightly and placed a small kiss on the top of her head. "Let's go," he said. "let's get to Harper, we'll see if they can help us out, okay?" he pulled away and took her hand. He was planning on hitching a ride with Harper and the boy she was with, it was better than walking all the way back to the house, which would take quite a while. He began to follow the girls' scent and soon they were in a gravel driveway leading to a welcoming looking house. A police car sat in the front which reeked of the two.

Harper rose and followed after him,"Bye, Akateko. It was nice meeting you," she said and gave him a small grin before going out the door. She stopped when she saw a couple of people in the driveway, making her heart race suddenly until she realized who it was. It was Daniel and the girl she'd seen back at the castle. "Who... what're you doing here?" she asked the two. "...and why?" she added, very confused. "Listen, we... we've been banished from town for... reasons I'll explain later." explained Daniel, walking closer. "We just need a ride back to my house and we'll leave you two alone... I'm sorry for causing you more trouble," he said with a sigh.

" i- i'm sorry, daniel, I didn't realize.... i'm so sorry. " giving him
A hug. Afterwards she began following him, holding onto his hand. " so..why? Why aren't we allowed to be together here? What's so wrong about it..." she asked as they walked.
Kio
Frowning he looked at Daniel worriedly. " you realize we're bigger targets than you, right? Helping you could actually worsen your situation, not to mention that it would be deprimental to us. We could get caught and loose our chance to escape." Afterwards he sighed. " we will help you, but your on your own if the police show up, understood? I'm not risking harpers safety more than that."

"I-it's okay, you don't have to be sorry," He told Ayumi. "...I-I don't know why, but... I'll explain everything later," he said, squeezing her hand and giving her a reassuring smile. Daniel then returned his attention to Kio and gave a sigh,"I know... I know we're putting you into more danger than you're already in, but... I promise we'll make this quick." he said. He listened to the boy before nodding,"Alright, thank you... so much." he said with a small smile,"We'll make this up to you, I promise."

Harper watched the two, thinking of what trouble they had gotten into. Maybe they were in the same boat as them? Well... sort of in the same boat. As she listened she grew a little impatient,"Alright, let's get going now," she said,"Time's running out and who know's how long we have before the police catch our scent," she crossed her arms and walked off the porch. Daniel looked at Kio before following the girl, not really knowing how he's survived this long with her.

Huffing she punched his arm jokingly. " be glad your cute." She stated before jumping into the back of the car, keeping silent.

Kio
" well make it up to us quickly would you? I don't like having people in debt to me. Gets annoying after a while. " he started, unlocking the new car and getting in. " come on, we don't have all day. We'll be lucky to even get an hour." After everyone got in, he revved the engine before quickly leaving the location.

Daniel gave a small laugh before getting into the car after her, sitting next to her. Harper raised an eyebrow as she watched the two. She was right about them being in the same situation... sort of. She slipped into the passenger side seat and buckled herself in, "Sooo... are you two a thing?" she asked before Kio got in. Daniel gave her a surprised look and his face flushed, "Er... why do you care?" he asked. Harper stared at him blankly, "Well, why else would you be getting kicked out of town?" she asked. The boy sighed and gave a smile as he squeezed Ayumi's hand, "Fine, yes. W-we are... but, what about you and Kio? Are you two a thing?" he asked with a grin. Harper's face grew a little red but she kept silent as Kio got in and began driving.

" what kind of dumb question is that ? Why else would I be out here with this troublemaker?" He said, teasing Harper at one point by calling her a little tiger. " needless to say, that psycho brother of mine you call the king is not happy, and I might have royally angered another pureblood family for all I know. " he drove around for a bit, trying to recall where daniel lived. Once he did, he got there quickly as he could. " I'd say you have anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes until we have to leave. " he spoke, watching the time and their surroundings carefully.

Harper stuck her tongue out at the boy before giving him a slight shove,"That's pretty obvious," she said,"He looked - I mean... he sounded pretty angry from what you told me," she corrected herself, not wanting him to know she'd seen almost everything. As they pulled up to Daniel's house, she stayed in the car as the others got out. She was still fairly paranoid of the police finding them and she didn't want to take the risk of getting out and possibly getting caught. Having the other two with them wasn't helping matters either.

Daniel gave Kio a nod,"We'll just follow you out of town, okay? We don't want to intrude in any more of your guys' business..." he said. He felt bad for asking them for a ride because they were in a lot more danger than him and Ayumi were, but at the same time, he was very grateful. "We'll be quick," he added before leading Ayumi to the house,"Just grab whatever you think you'll need, okay?" he told Ayumi once they were in the house. He grabbed a duffel bag from his closet and filled it with clothes and other necessities. He also grabbed an old photo album and a few keepsakes. Holding the keys to his car, he waited by the door for Ayumi. He'd miss this house, but maybe it'd be best for him to move on.

She nodded, hurriedly grabbing her clothing, some keepsakes of hers, and what little money she had. " alright. Let's go, if your ready." She spoke, gripping his hand lightly. " itll be alright, daniel. We'll come back someday. Somehow. " she smiled caringly at him.

Kio
He huffed, waiting impatiently. That was when a scent caught his nose; his brother's scent. " he's got two minutes, Harper. If they're not out by then, were hightailing it out of here without them. We've got to get out of here. Id survive whatever they put me through, but you... you'r so fragile. "

Daniel sighed as he took her hand, giving her a sad half-smile. “I know, I’m... dure we will,” he spoke as he led her out of the house, locking the door behind him. He made his way to his car and put everything into the trunk, including Ayumi’s things. “Alright, let’s get going,” he said to Kio before getting into the drivers seat, turning the car on.

Harper shifted nervously in her seat, what was taking them so long? Kio’s words didn’t help matters, but she breathed a sigh of releief as the two finally came out. “Alright Kio, we need to go,” she said, her voice a little shaky as she clenched the knife in her pocket, holding onto it like a lifeline.
