Though she heard footsteps behind her, she didn't turn back until she heard Daniel's voice. Slowing to a stop, she put all her weight on one ankle, the one that didn't hurt. " ok?! I just wanted a simple ride home to avoid some creep!" She spoke in a timid voice. " I don't know what you and that girl are involved with, but leave me alone and leave me out of it! " the look of fear on her face wasn't hidden at all. " now if you don't mind, I'm going home. I'm tired and freaked out. " turning from him she began walking again, but as the adrenalin had faded, She yelped as she stepped down on her ankle, nearly fallen from the jolt of pain.

" your a weird human. Not afraid at all. Ah, well, I suppose that makes it more fun for me. You seemed like such a strong human too. Maybe that means I can take a bit extra.. oh, how the mighty fall. It's quite entertaining...." he then tightly grabbed onto her wrists. " anyways, your going to provide me with food whenever I wish for some. For now though I just want a snack. " leaning in torwards her, he nuzzled her neck. " you should've chosen the other option" he repeated one last time before biting into her neck. Her blood was quite fulfilling. Bittersweet in taste, with a hint of what seemed like honey. To be honest he didn't want to let go.

Well, she was really regretting her decision now. She stiffened up when he grabbed her wrists, she hated being touched by people she didn't know or like. "Just make it quick." she growled, looking up at the sky. Thunder rumbled loudly and lightning lit up the sky, how fitting. She winced as his fangs pricked her skin,' god this is so weird, I should've kicked him in the gut again.' she thought, looking back down. He seemed to be enjoying himself, maybe a little too much. "Hey! You've had enough, now let me go." she hissed, smacking him upside the head and ripping herself away from him. She held a hand over the bite, putting pressure on it to stop the bleeding.

Daniel gave her a sad look, "We aren't involved in anything, she... she's just stupid, and she gets herself into trouble and somehow always drags other people in with her." he muttered, clenching his teeth. He noted how scared she looked, he'd... somehow seen it before, but how? He ran a hand through his thick hair and sighed. "Alright, just watch ou-... are you okay?" he asked as she yelped in pain, quickly rushing to her side. "What hurts? You won't make it very far with an injury.." he said, a look of concern on his face.

''Don't touch me!'' she spoke, trying to gently shove him a way. Of course, in the process she had put weight on her ankle, and let out another noise of pain. Though he was correct she wouldn't make it far in her current state, she at least needed to try. As nice as he was acting, she still didn't trust him. She had dealt with a creeper earlier, and just been a car accident. A car he had been driving. '' leave me alone....'' she tried to walk again. She made it a few, tiny steps before her vision flared red as she fell from the pain, panting from the effort it had took to make it that far on her ankle.

He hissed as she smacked him upside the head, releasing her neck. '' You really think that placing your hand on it will stop the bleeding? Have you seriously never been fed on before? The only thing that stops the bleeding is our saliva. Your going to bleed out unless you let me stop the bleeding. '' he leaned against the car, watching her. ''oh, and don't be so grumpy next time i'm hungry.
it won't end well for you to keep angering me everytime i want food.''

Daniel winced when she pushed him away,"I can't just leave you here, Ayumi! You're hurt!" he said, helping her up. He suddenly grew confused, she hadn't told him her name so why did he know it? A wave of pain coursed through his head and he groaned, what the hell was happening to him? What was this? He pressed his free hand against his eyes,"Let's just... get you home..." he mumbled,"W-where do you live?" he asked. He prayed that she didn't find him creepy since that wasn't his intention at all, he just wanted to keep her safe for some reason. This was the first human he'd felt this way towards and he didn't understand why. The boy groaned internally, she probably found him creepy already for somehow knowing her name.

"No! I haven't!" Harper spat, still pressing her hand against the wound. She could feel the blood slowly trickle through her fingers and down onto her shirt. Great, her mom was gonna freak. As much as she didn't want him touching her again, she didn't feel like dying just yet. "Fine, just hurry and close it." she sighed, removing her hand. The blood began pouring out slightly faster and she winced at the sight of it on her hand. "How do you know there'll be a next time? Who knows, I might move away or disappear tomorrow," she said, glancing between him and the sky.

What the... how did he know her name? She never told him...did she?hm...no, she never told him her name. So how did he know it? It was weird though...how familiar the worried tone of his voice sound. Though she had never met him before, so how did it sound familiar? ' Go away!'' she shouted at him. It was just too weird he knew her name. '' If you must just call me a taxi or something, but there is no way i'm telling you where I live!'' Though the pain was taking its tole, and she was already tired. Also, why was he groaning? weirdo....

The male leaned in towards her neck and licked the wound closed before answering her. ''If you move or dissapear, i could find you if i really wanted to. It might be difficult, but i have your blood now. I can always find you if i tried hard enough. Though, if you moved i think your more trouble than you're really worth. '' he spoke backing away. 'fine, fine. run away for now, livestock. just know i'll always be watching.''

"F-Fine, fine..." Daniel muttered, letting go of her. "I'll call a cab. Just sit down, you shouldn't put pressure on it," he said as he dug his phone out of his pocket. It was an outdated little thing, but it was all he could afford. He called the local taxi service and gave them their general location before hanging up. "It should be here in a bit, just hang tight." The pain in his head began to dissipate and he let out a small sigh of relief. He hovered awkwardly, unsure of what to say or do. He figured if he tried to explain the whole name thing, he'd make himself seem creepier. Soon, he saw headlights heading towards them. "Here it is," he said, opening the back door for her as soon as it came to a stop. "I'm sorry about this... have a safe trip home," he said apologetically once she got in, then closed the door. The boy watched the cab drive off before turning, not in the best mindset to deal with his wrecked car.

Harper closed her eyes as he closed the wound, the feeling was uncomfortable as all hell. When he was finished she made a small noise of disgust and wiped the leftover saliva from the healed area, wiping it on her jeans. ''Well great, I've got my own personal stalker now." she said, shivering as a gust of wind blew through her hair. "and I told you to stop calling me livestock! I've got a name you know." she hissed, crossing her arms. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going home to try and forget all of this." The girl turned, too tired to put up a fight anymore. She just wanted to go home, to sleep, to pretend this was all a bad dream. She didn't even make sure Daniel needed help, who was now watching Kio with wide eyes either full of fear or surprise.

'' Thank you.... '' she spoke with a frown, carefully getting into the cab. ''It's alright...''' with that she shut the door, and told the taxi driver her adress. When she got home, and inside her house, she locked the door and just flopped onto the couch. It was nice to be home, safe on the couch. It didn't take her long to just fall asleep. The night's advents had really worn her out, not neccesarily physically, but more or less psycologically. Her head was still throbbing, though not quite as it had been. Little did she know that Harper hadn't been the only one who was followed that night.

''Well, until you learn to respect vampires you'll be called livestock, livestock. Deal with it.'' he spoke in a monotone voice, watching as she left. Turning to leave, he saw the waiter from earlier watching him. ''What? Don't worry about your car, you'll recieve a check for a new one. you weren't supposed to be involved.'' he then walked away, watching the sky. He had been too mean, hadn't he? Yes..he probably had. To be truthful, the girl intrigued him. However, most wouldn't have found her little mimicry of fangs amusing as he secretly had. Humans needed to know fear to be safe around here. he was genuinly surprised she had made it this far without being persecuted by authorities.

Harper turned and stuck her tongue out at him before finally ignoring him, making her way down the sidewalk. She put the hood of her jacket up over her blonde hair, which was now frizzy from the humidity. She was still in a state of shock, waves of disbelief ran through her as she thought about the night's events. She'd just pissed off a vampire and became its food source and now she was on edge, scared that another vampire would show up and actually kill her. "What the hell did I get myself into?... I hope this was all a bad dream, It's gotta be!" she growled shoving her hands into the pockets of her jacket. It had to be well past 11 by now and the wind had picked up, small droplets of rain began to fall. The girl hissed a few words under her breath and broke into a sprint, wanting to get home before it turned into a downpour.

Daniel didn't reply and merely watched as the vampire walked away. He'd done this because of Harper and didn't even apologize. Ayumi was now terrified of him as well, but that was on Harper and Kio both. He let out a loud sigh and kicked the rear wheel of the car out of frustration, he'd have to walk back home. Thankfully it wasn't a long walk, and he was obviously a vampire so he could go faster than a normal human. He still didn't like it, driving was much more convenient and he'd miss his car. On the walk home, he thought about Ayumi, how familiar she'd seemed and how he somehow knew her name. Why had he gotten a headache when it'd happened? He wondered if it was a repressed memory of some sort, or if they'd met in the past. He gnawed on her lip, careful to not impale it with his fangs.

About 1am she woke, finding she was unable to sleep peacefully. Throughout the night she had kept having nightmares, nightmares that almost seemed like snippets of memories long forgotten. She was a child in those nightmares...she could hear a young boy's voice, but all she seen was a dark silouhette. At another point a scream...at another point, a room in which enough blood was spilled it looked like the scene of a horror film. The last scene she recalled was a flash of fangs. Getting up off the couch, she went to the kitchen and heated up a glass of milk. Maybe it'd help her sleep. ..
meanwhile, the vampire who had been watching her from outside the cafe had followed her quietly, and was now trying to figure out a way inside the house. currently to no avail.

It was a long walk home, and he was tired, but in the end he made it back. First thing was to send a check to that diner for that waiter, to pay for a new car. Collateral damage, really. Sighing gently, he went to his room in the castle, lying down on his bed. It wasn't too long until he fell asleep. Though he was rather worried about that human girl...maybe he'd have to keep an eye on her when he woke. Make sure nothing happens to her.

When Daniel had gotten home that night, he'd walked in sopping wet. He shivered as he shrugged off his jacket and made a beeline for his room, where he changed into dry clothes. His mind kept wandering to the girl, Ayumi, and if she was okay. She'd said that there was someone staring at her weird, that was why he'd given her a ride in the first place. When he'd been with her the stranger seemed to have vanished, but he didn't know where. He dried his hair and sighed, wondering what he should do. He didn't have her number, and he couldn't follow her scent now because of the rain. Plus if he even attempted that, she'd find him even creepier than she already did.

Harper got home just before it'd started pouring and, unsurprisingly, her mother was still up. She'd chewed her out for not calling her or texting her and gave her the speech about her being worried sick, yadda yadda yadda. Once it was all over, the girl rolled her eyes and walked to the laundry room where she shrugged off her jacket and the bloodstained shirt and tossed them both into the washer. She didn't want her mom finding out about this, not at all. She retreated upstairs to her room and changed into her night clothes, a pair of sweats and an old t-shirt, and flopped down onto her bed. Weariness swept over her instantly and she curled up under the covers, scrolling through her phone to hopefully help her forget about the night's events. She made sure to keep the lamp on too, paranoid a vampire would materialize out of the dark.
