Thanking Daniel she walked over to the phone a dialed the number for the taxi service, but alas her efforts were in vain. After dialing three different times, nobody picked up. Frowning unhappily, she looked around. That creepy guy was still standing out there, watching her... hm.. well, she had two options. Risk her life waking home, or potentially keep her life by finding a ride home. Maybe that Daniel guy would be able too? Sure, not a smart idea to get a ride home From a stranger, but it was the better option currently. However, she would have to wait for him to finish speaking with the weird guy taking off his hoodie. Man, that dude seemed angry though.. wait, were those fangs? Man, people at this place are creepy. She really needs to find a new place to eat.

Throughout the duration of the time he waited for the waiter, he continued starting at the human girl. Then she mocked him pretending she had fangs. What did she think this was, a joke? Was she an idiot? To make things worse, those who have lived in the town long enough not to mock the royalty. This time he bared his fangs at her, not bothering to conceal them any longer afterwards. As the waiter approached, he angrily looked at the waiter. Though he had hoped to keep his identity hidden, nobody mocks him. Nobody. Pulling off his hoodie so he was just in his traditional royal wear underneath, he glared the waiter and the nearby human who had mocked him. " I am Kio Nightshade, their to the throne, and I demand the truthful name of that human over there, and anything you know about her. That human had insulted and mocked me, something for which I will not stand or tolerate." He spoke angrily.

Harper heard the boy discussing something with the waiter, he sounded pretty angry. She smirked as she headed outside, taking in a deep breath. The fried food smell was still in the air, along with stale cigarettes. It also smelled like rain, and almost on cue, a flash of lightning lit up the sky a few miles away, followed by a distant rumble of thunder. The girl grinned, she loved the rain, especially when it stormed. She shrugged on a dark navy blue jacket, obviously a size too big for her, and put up the hood. She pondered whether or not she should go home or see what was happening elsewhere, she could maybe set fire to something or get into a fight or two.

Daniel's eyes widened,"Ah! Sorry sir, er... your highness!" he said, confused as to who this guy was. He wasn't sure if he was truly royalty since he'd never heard of him, but he didn't want to get his butt kicked. He already seemed pretty pissed off. "Um, that girl, her name's Harper." he said,"She's... not the nicest person in the world, or the most mannerly. She's just trying to get a rise out of you... so don't take it to heart." He winced as the door of the diner closed and glanced back to where she had been. "And it looks like she's just left," he muttered, looking back to Kio.

. Alright, so that guy was Both weird and angry. Not really a good combo. Quietly standing by the phone as everything went down, she stayed silent for a few moments after the angry man left. " er... um.. Daniel, was it? Sorry to bother you again but.. could you give me a ride home after your shift? The Taxi service isn't picking up and.. I'd.. rather not walk home right now. " she glanced at the white haired guy, still watching her from outside the diner. From what she could tell he was just waiting for her to step outside the diner.

Listening to the waiter, he snarled when he said that female left. " even the most unmannerly humans should know how to respect their superiors." Growling slightly he ran out of the store, hurriedly running after the human. Once he caught up to her, he stood menacingly behind her. " human. What on earth do You think gives you the right to mock royalty? Especially the heir to the throne? I could care less about your childish affairs, unless you direct them at me again. I expect an apology, unless you wish to face consequences. Though I suppose you likely are not taking me seriously. Walking closer to her, he reached out for her arm. " make your choice wisely human. However, if you apologize it would be in your best interest not to mock any of the others. "

Harper came to a stop when she heard footsteps coming towards her, followed by someone talking. She didn't bother looking behind her because she already knew who it was. She stiffened up when he grabbed her arm and thoughts raced through her head of what to do. She stood there for a good minute, pondering if she should say something or simply let this guy know to never lay a hand on her ever again. "Hmmm..." she said aloud, followed by a short laugh. "Listen, I don't know who you are, or what you are for that matter." She said and shoved her arm out of his grasp and turned, staring him down. "But please, don't tell me what to do. You sound like my mom," she said, meeting his gaze. "Now, if you'll excuse me I have some... more important things to attend to." she blew a few strands of hair out of her face before turning and started walking away.

Daniel winced again as the door to the diner closed. That was the last customer for the night, since it was almost 11 now. He hoped that would be the last time he saw that guy, Kio, ever again. If he was royalty why was he even at a place like this in the first place? Daniel sighed and cleared off the table, jumping slightly when the girl came up to him. "Of course! I-I'd be happy to, my shift just ended so I'll be leaving here in a sec." he said,"And I don't blame you, there are some... strange characters that come around here." he giggled as he walked past her to the back to grab his keys. He said goodnight to the cook and the other employees before clocking out,"Alrighty, you all set?" he asked her before heading outside. He saw Kio and Harper talking, but decided to keep his distance since they looked like they were in a pretty heated argument. "Um, I hope you don't mind the mess," he said as they neared his car, which wasn't the prettiest thing in the world. He opened the passenger side door and cleared the seat off, "Here you go!" he said, holding the door open for her.

To be honest, even if she didn't know who Daniel was, she felt relieved to at least be getting a ride home. At least this way there was a possibility she could survive the night. Had she walked home, she had a feeling she wouldn't see the next sunrise. ''I don't care if it's a mess...I'm just really thankful to be given a ride home. There's a difference between strange and creepy....there was definetly someone creepy watching me from outside the diner'....i just...didn't feel safe walking home...so i..um...I really appreciate the ride...so thanks.'' For a moment she glanced at the other people who had been to the diner. Should she go help that girl?hm...she seemed to be defending herself just fine, so hopefully she would be alright. Otherwise Ayumi would end up with a guilty concious.

Chuckling slightly, he patiently waited a few moments to follow her. ' Really? You have more 'important' matters to attend too?What can be more important that matters regarding your life, as in if you live or not. '' After that sentence he followed after her again,
this time digging his claws in slightly as he gripped her arm. ''Now listen here disrespectful cattle, I am not your mother, nothing even similar. Believe me when i tell you that I am nothing more or less than your worst nightmare.'' turning her so she faced him, he bared his fangs and leaned down torwards her neck. '' Now I will ask you one more time, livestock. Are you going to apologize, or am i going to have to show you why you don't mock or anger this town's royalty? Because believe me, once you see what this town, this world is really like, whatever life your living now will seem to of been nothing but a sweet dream.''

Harper snorted, flinching only slightly when he dug into her arm. "Ah, so you're one of those guys." She said with a mischevious grin, "I've dealt with people like you, and I've also been called worse." she hissed, taking his hand from her arm and squeezing hard. To tell the truth, she was absolutely terrified. He was a vampire, who else would have claws and teeth as sharp as that? She thought of just giving herself up, but that would probably end up with her getting killed. Her other idea was fighting, but how fast was he? Could he fight back? Something in her screamed to choose the second option since giving up was not usually an option. The girl sighed and put her hood down, then ran a hand through her frizzy hair. "I also know how this world is, pretty boy. I'm usually not one to obey commands like a dog, and I sure as hell won't let you eat me." She said, "Especially without you asking first. Where are your manners, huh?" She laughed before kneeing him in the stomach and sprinting, her heart pounding in her chest. 'That should disable him for a while, I hope.' she thought as she ran down the sidewalk, the sound of thunder was closer.

Daniel started the car, the engine roaring to life. He pretended not to see Harper and Kio. He didn't want to get involved, but he felt bad at the same time. He sighed and turned to Ayumi,"It's no problem! I don't mind at all." he said with a smile,"I know there are some... questionable people that come around here, that's why I was surprised to see you here at this time of night." he fiddled with the radio, trying to find a station that would come in. "You seemed pretty normal and nice. We don't usually have anyone along the lines of 'nice and normal' come through." The boy laughed, finally settling on a station. He put the car in reverse and drove to the exit of the parking lot. As he did so, something caught his eye.

A girl, Harper, was sprinting down the sidewalk. 'What the hell?' he thought as he drove out onto the road. Harper looked over at the car and sped towards it, causing Daniel to slam on the brakes and yell some questionable words. Harper tugged and tugged at the rear passengers door before Daniel finally snapped out of his shocked state and unlocked it. The girl was out of breath, her eyes wide with fear and excitement. "You.... Might wanna.... Start driving now." she gasped. Daniel looked back and forth between her and Ayumi, then to the road. "I'm... I don't know what to say, but okay." he said. "I'm sorry about this, I was NOT expecting this." Annoyance laced his voice as he hit the gas pedal. The car roared to life and sped down the road as Harper fell into a laughing fit in the back seat.

''what do you mean questionable peo-'' she stoped as suddenly she fell forward, her seatbelt tightening to hold her in place and not go flying through the windshield. Next thing she knew, some girl was getting in the car and then the car was suddenly moving again. The flip was going on? What did she get herself into? So, she obviously had gotten herself into something she didn't want to be part of, but she wasn't really given much of choice...well....hopefully it was at least better than the option of walking home. ''What on earth is going on!"' she asked worriedly and panicked, until she saw a blur of movement in her peripheral vision.

Gasping, he looked up as harper ran away, still on his knees. it really didn't hurt him per say, but it sure as did startle the heck out of him. He had never, ever encountered a human who was brave enough to knee one of the royals in the stomache. AFter a few moments he angrily chased after the car. Snarling, he searched for the car, trying his best to track harper's scent. Though it took a few minutes, he eventually found the car. Hmm...best to wait until the car stopped. That way he could just catch her without the trouble of having to go and take down some car just to get to her. hmm...no, he was already getting slightly tired. Raising his hand, he aimed a ball of ice torwards one of the wheels; a power specifically inherited by the royal family. (sorry, i've been busy.)

Daniel glanced to Ayumi,"I-I don't know, I'm really sorry! Everything's okay though, I promise!" he said, trying to reassure her the best he could. "H... Harper explain yourself!" he growled, looking at her in the rearview mirror. "What'd you do? What have you destroyed now?" he asked,"and WHY did you run into the street! I could've hit you!" his chest felt warm with anger, first she'd been tormenting a supposed prince, now she almost got herself killed. Harper continued laughing until she finally snapped out of it, a few snickers slipping out. "Well, that guy.. uh, Kio was his name I think. He cornered me so I kneed him in the stomach," she said, a grin on her face as she looked out the back window.

Just as Daniel was about to yell at her to get her seatbelt on, the car swerved suddenly. Thankfully they weren't going very fast, or they would all have been hurt pretty bad. When the car stopped, Daniel tried his best to pry his hands from the wheel. "Is, uh, everyone alright?" he croaked, looking to Ayumi and Harper. Harper clung to the seat like a terrified cat, her eyes wide with surprise and fear. "I... guess?" she forced out before unclenching herself from the seat, "That was awesome!" she yelled, obviously oblivious to the fact they could've died. She got out of the car to assess the damage, unaware that Kio was close.

Daniel growled a few words under his breath and turned to Ayumi,"Listen, I'm... I did not expect this simple car ride to turn out this way." he said," I'm glad you're okay, and to make it up to you I'll buy you, let's say... oh, dinner, sometime, alright? Only if you want to, if not I can do something else for you!" he smiled but it soon disappeared, the realization of what just happened was settling in. "I'm also sorry about Harper, she's... odd, and she eats more than I could in a lifetime, and that's a lot." The boy let out a loud sigh,"Now, if you'll excuse me, I gotta see how bad the damage is..." he said, climbing out of the car.

Hm....Maybe she should've taken her chance walking home. Just maybe went out a different door or something...seems like it would've been the better option right about now. Then suddenly, as she was lost in thought, the car sweerved. Closing her eyes tightly, she feared what was to come next. Thankfully, when she opened her eyes, nobody was really injured. Her ankle hurt a bit, but other than that she was fine. Breathing quickly, still recovering from shock, she slowly got out of the car, especially after some creepy guy walked up and began speaking to the girl named harper. Looking around, she shook her head. Nope. all a bad dream, she'd wake up and forget all about it. After that, she stood fro a few moments outside the car, before taking off- as fast as she could considering her ankle- not answering daniel.

Well, the car was stopped. that was good. though he was slightly off-target...he should probably practice his aim a bit more. Snapping out of his thought, he focused back on the task at hand, hurrying to the care and walking over to it. In one door, that waiter.
In another door, some human girl. At the third door, he finally found Harper. Opening the door, he growled at her. '' I gave you a choice. You made the wrong decision, and made your situation worse. Anything to say for yourself?'' he blocked her only exit currently, but stood far enough away to avoid being kicked again. ''So, Harper, was it? Come here.'' his eyes flashed red.

Harper already knew she wouldn't be able to get out of this situation no matter what, especially with Daniel going after the other girl. She let out a sigh and stared at Kio with a blank expression, before finally clearing her throat. "Yes, it's Harper." She growled, a smirk on her face as she stood face to face with him, "For the last time, I don't do apologies. Do whatever you want with me, it's gotta be ten times more interesting than what I was planning on doing." she hissed, deciding to go through with plan B, which was giving up and seeing if this guy had the guts to do what he says he'd do.

"Wait! Er... Please wait!" Daniel called after the girl, realizing she'd never told him her name. Probably for the best, since they were both strangers that'd just met that night. He hesitated, looking between Harper and Kio and the direction the girl ran in. He growled, frustrated because Harper was the cause of this mess. He decided to go after the girl since Harper needed to learn her lesson about getting sassy with strangers. The boy soon caught up with the girl, panting hard. Sure, he was a vampire, but that didn't mean he was graced with wonderful athleticism and super speed like the others. "Are.. you okay?" he asked, stopping a few feet from her.
