alexander had now just jumped back into reality when he saw clarke and wells by the entrance of the dropship. he had almost forgotten about what the chancellor said. they were supposed to land on mount weather. but there was a small miscalculation that made them land here. where it looked like a forest,woods whatever you would call it. when alec was on the ark they made them take some type of earth skills class. this was probably why,they knew that they were sending them down to the earth. whether it was toxic or not. the 100 were test monkeys of the ark. there to see if the earth is livable. it made sense,send the sparable off to the ground,who cares if they live or not. he wondered if his parents knew what was going on. or if they still thought he was locked up on the ark.

he had to admit,being here on earth was better than staying locked up in that small room. whether the air was toxic or not,it was just a new environment. soil that hasn’t been touched in who knows how long. they had to be the only ones down here. they could be dead in seconds,but alec tried not to think about that. she wanted to enjoy the money for what it was. it was amazing but he knew they couldn’t stay in the woods forever. they needed food and water. the dropship didn’t have much supplies to last a while. they probably thought that the 100 wouldn’t last long. actaully 101 counting Bellamy. also not counting the two kids that died because they didn’t have their seatbelts on. supposedly they were floating around in the zero-gravity.

clarke and wells were by the dropship,studying the map and he was bout to go walk over to them until alec saw from the corner of his eye something. it was a glint if something but couldn’t really tell what it was. it was on his right side and a little bit deeper into the woods. there was nobody really right there. most of the deliquents were still running around or talking to other delinquents. alec was curious and wanted to check it out. it might be an animal,but didn’t know if there was any life on earth. not including the ninety-nine survivors. alec looked around to see if anyone else noticed the glint. no one was really paying attention so alec started to walk in that direction. he saw the flint and the glare the sun gave off. which made it even harder for Alec to pinpoint what it was.

once alec got closer he saw that it by a tree. he was several feet from the nearest person,he turned the corner where the tree was to see someone. more specifically a human. alec jumped back,his eyes widened. he was hit with many emotions. he could tell right away that she wasn’t one of the 100. she was not on the arc either. she had a different demeanor which you wouldn’t find on the ark. she carried a long sword which intimated him. he didn’t know what was going o. he didn’t know that there was actually people on the earth. all he managed to say was,”wh-who are you?”

the nightblood's eyes widened when the boy caught sight of her. she couldn't let him alert the others! if they were warriors of the commander, she'd be no match for all of them. cerridwen quickly jumped out from her the tree and grabbed him. she held him to her tightly and pulled her sword out of her sheath, holding it to his neck. "shof op en ai na teik in yu kik raun (be quiet and i'll let you live)," she whispered in her ear, tightening her grip on her sword, hoping he would get the message, she wasn't afraid to kill him. she looked around, hoping no one was coming near them, for their sake. if these people weren't warriors, she could definatly take them all out on her own, but she wouldn't kill them unless she had to. "chit kru yu(what clan are you)?" she demanded. she narrowed her eyes, waiting for his answer.

when it became clear that he wasn't going to answer her, cerridwen pulled the sword away from his neck and sheathed it before she pulled out a cloth from her pack and tied it around his head, making sure he couldn't yell. she then used her one hand to wrap a piece of rope around his hands before she took her sword out again and held it to his neck before forcing him to walk towards her hut, making sure they weren't seen.

the girl didn’t answer verbally,but physically. she grabbed him and had a knife to his neck. he had no idea what was going on. he landed on the ground for no longer than thirty minutes and here he was with a knife to his neck. alec decided not to try to get away. he could already tell the earth wasn’t what he initially thought it was going to be like. hell,he didn’t even know people were inhabited on the planet. the earth could be really dangerous and needed to tell everyone but he couldn’t. he didn’t want to get killed,his heartbeat was racing and he was scared for his life. and scared to why this girl had a knife to his neck.

the girl began talking in a foreign language he never heard of,she was telling him something that he didn’t understand. no one was near him,he heard some people in the distance but none knew that alec was in trouble. he shook his head and said ”I don’t...I don’t know what your saying. “ he looked at her with wide eyes. he didn’t want to be killed and he didn’t think the girl spoke any english. his mind began to wonder where in the earth they were at. jaha didn’t give any information about their location other than that they had to get to mount weather. what if she someone who lived at mount weather? what if she was just taking percaution. ”are you from mount weather?” he asked,hoping that the words mount weather would stick.

without answering the girl began to tie cloth around his mouth,was he saying too much? Alec was taller and bigger than her but he had nothing he could defend himself with. it looked like she was a big threat. and he couldn’t do anything. he picked up some skills at the ark but here,it was just an all around messed up situation. he looked at her,deciding not to show fear. If he did,the girl would see him as an easy target. he had to seem not affected by the situation. he might have gave that away already.

the girl held her sword to his throat again,he didn’t like that. he didn’t feel safe and his life were in her hands. he could be dead in a second,he needed to listen to her in order to survive. he walked with her. they were going somewhere. could it be mount weather? who knows. but he decided to listen to her.

ignoring what he said, cerridwen continued to tug the boy through the forest, making sure she had a good grip on him. she wasn't going to let him get away, she needed to know if the commander knew where she was. if someone had found her and her parents and ratted them out then they would need to leave and find a knew place to hide. she was a bit surprised when the man said he didn't understand her. how could he not understand their language? everyone in the twelve clans knew trigedasleng, even if each clan had a few changes to their version. was he not from one of the twelve clans?

from mount weather? this boy thought she was a mountain man?! she shook her head and decided to speak in english because it seemed that he knew how to speak and understand english. "i am no mountain man," she growled and she pushed him along in front of her.

as she was thinking, she started to come up upon her hut. she saw her parents standing in the doorway and staring at the boy that she was holding hostage. she nodded to him before she walked around the back of her house and came upon her shed. she walked him into the shed and sat him down in a chair. she untied his hands from each other and then tied him down to the chair, both his hands and legs. she twisted her sword around in her hands a bit before sheathing it. she walked up to him and untied the cloth that was wrapped around the back of his head. she had gagged him to keep him from screaming for help but now she wanted him to talk and tell her everything he had to tell.

"you're free to talk but not to scream. if you scream or struggle then i wont hesitate to kill you," she told him coldly through her mask. she removed her mask from her face and tucked it away in her pack. maybe he would tell her everything if she looked less intimidating. "what clan are you and your people from?" she asked him, circling around him slowly. "did the commander sent you to hunt me down and bring me to polis?" she pushed farther. she stopped circling and held onto the chair and looked into his eyes. "and don't lie to me about this."

the girl didn’t say anything to him,and held him pretty roughly. he had no idea where she was taking him. the possibilities were infinite,he originally didn’t think there were actually people on the planet next thing you know,someone has him hostage. his heart was racing,but tried to look calm. he wondered if anyone would notice him missing,maybe murphy? sometimes he could be so into his own thoughts he could forget about his surroundings. he did have some other friends on the dropship,but will they look for him? he hoped that if he abided by the girls rules,then maybe, he could get out of this alive.

alec tried to keep up with her fast pace. he was trying to remember all the things that pike taught them in the earth skills class. there was not one lesson teaching them how to get out of a hostage situation. alec didn’t think of the earth being this savage. the girl then answered his question,and this time; not in a foreign language. she spoke english,it took him aback. so she could understand him? she called them mountain men. alec was really confused now. are there people at mount weather? why does she talk about them with disgust. who was she? hundreds of questions ran through his brain,but couldn’t even ask one since he had a cloth preventing him to.

minutes past,and then alec and the grounder came across a hut. rather small,he saw two other people by the threshold. she wasn’t the only one,there was more people on this earth. there could be tens,hundreds,hell even thousands. the earth was survivable,the ark didn’t know that but sent the delinquents down anyway. the people on the ark could actaully come back to earth,he could perhaps even see his parents again. though alec needed to deal with the situation he had in front of him before he thought about that.

the grounder took alec to the back,into a separate shed of some sort. was this where he was going to get killed? alec tried to calm himself as best as he can. the boy was brought to a chair,and what she did next surprised him. the girl began to start to untie him,and take the cloth out of his mouth. alec looked at her confused,was she letting him go? alec glanced at the door,he could make a run for it...but was that the best decision right now. the girl was armed and he wasn’t. does he really want to take the chance?

alexander’s thoughts were interrupted when the grounder began to speak English. more fluently than Alec would have thought. she spoke two languages fluently,one he had never hear before. the girl began to threaten him,she said she wouldn’t hesitate to kill him. Alec decided not to make a run for it,besides he was outnumbered. there was more of her people right here,than his. the girl began to talk,talking about things he had never heard of. clans,commander,polis? was there some sort of thriving empire down here? he backed up a little,the girl needed answers. and he had to tell her truthfully.

alec cleared his throat. he was going to tell her his full truth about the ark. he didn’t want to die,and what was the point of lying. he looked straight into her eyes,”i don’t know of any...commander,or polis but all I know is that our chancellor jaha...” alec paused looking to see if the grounder was following with what he was saying. ”he sent us down to the earth to see if it was survivable. he found us expendable since we were delinquents on the ark. all one hundred of us. “ he looked up,”I don’t know who you are...we didn’t even know if there was people on earth. the ark thought that the planet was wiped out..” Alec explained,he didn’t break eye contact with her. he hoped she believed him. he was telling her what he believed to be true...

the warrior raised her eyebrow as the boy said he didn't know who the commander was and didn't know what polis was. was he just lying to try to make cerridwen let her guard down? anyone would know what the commander and polis were unless they weren't from a clan. "this jaha, sent you down? where were you before? did you live in the sky?" she questioned. "what is the ark?" she pressed farther. she took a deep breath, knowing that she needed to tell him something to make him feel more comfortable. "i am cerridwen, kom trikru," she told him. "i am a warrior, fighting to keep myself hidden from the commander," she told him. "i captured you because i thought that you and the other people you came with were part of the commander's army, sent here to capture me and take me to polis, which is where the commander lives," she filled him in. "so, who are you then, really? you can't be from the clans because you don't know the commander, and you say you are from the 'ark', so who are you really?" she asked him. she turned when she heard a knock at the shed door, which then opened. she saw her father in the doorway. she explained to him in trigedasleng that his boy said he wasn't from the commander's army and that he was from something called the ark. "cerridwen, teik in ai ban we em to heda (cerridwen, let me take him to the commander)," her father said. she knew why he wanted to. maybe the commander would leave her and her family be if he brought someone of equal value. the commander would definatly want to know about these mysterious invaders.

still, she couldn't let her father take him, not yet. she shook her head. "not yet," she told him. she needed to know who he really was. if he was really as innocent as he claimed to be, then he didn't deserve to be taken to the commander, who would probably kill him if she didn't get the answer that she wanted out of him. so, she would show him mercy until she got answers.

alexander continued to comply with everything the grounder was telling him. he wasn’t going to try anything but he wanted to go. being here made him feel uncomfortable and uneasy. this wasn’t right,he needed to get back to the drop ship. the girl,warrior,was named cerridwen. something he never heard before and then went off to saying something about trikru. he assumed it was a group or something but wasn’t sure. maybe it could be one of the clans she was talking about? and trikru was one of the many possible clans. he wanted to ask questions but couldn’t since he was the one being interrogated. alec took a deep breath.

right as he was about to speak someone walked into the hut,it was an older man. probably her father he spoke in what seems to be their main language. alec tried to understand what he said but all he understood was cerridwen,which was the warrior’s name. she replied by saying,not yet. alec raised an eyebrow at what she said. he was confused,was she going to kill him? but not yet,it took everything in alec to not panic. he needed to answer the questions. if he told her the truth then maybe she could let him go. alec bit his lip,and the man then left the room. he let out his breath,if anything he would be the one to kill him first...

alec then looked back at cerridwen. ”yes...all of this over there...back at the drop ship. we all lived in the sky,space. “ alexander corrected himself,”he sent us down here...none of us knew. we were supposed to be evaluated at eighteen but...” Alec trailed off,not knowing how to end that sentence. ”I guess it was a last minute decision. the ark is a space station where we all lived on our entire lives. it was there before the radiation,thirteen stations then formed into one basically. we lived here because the earth wasn’t survivable... “ alec trailed off once again,not knowing if what he said was enough. ”I’m Alexander...” he added after a few seconds of silence. he wanted to keep quiet and wait for her reply.

cerridwen cast one more glace at her father before he nodded and walked out of the shed, closing the makeshift door behind him. she took a deep breath. this boy sure owed her after she had saved him from whatever fate the commander would decide to give him. she knew he didn't know who the commander was but he would soon enough if her father had anything to say about it. she looked back the boy and saw how tense he was. "dont worry, im not done with you just yet," she told him. he looked like he was about to leap out of his skin, so she gave him that small bit of reassurance.

she nodded. "sky people," she muttered under her breath. they must have been sent here for some reason other than their leader just wanting to come to their land. she wasn't very religious but she did believe the spirit of the past commanders allow things to happen for a reason. she nodded. "well, it's nice to meet you then alexander kom skaikru," she said with a smirk. "look, i know this could seem a bit odd or overkill but trust me, your safer here than out there, where the commander and her army could find you," she told him. she paused for a moment before saying, "you spoke of a man, jaha, who sent you down here. well, he seems to be like our commander."

"the commander is someone you want to watch out for, someone you can't trust. if she gets her hands on you then, well, you definatly won't live very long down here," cerridwen told him. "she leads the twelve clans but im not in a clan. my parents and i left because i was born different and if anyone was to find out, i would be taken away and forced to battle to keep my life," she told him. she suddenly became aware that he was still tied to a chair. she sighed. "if you promise not to run, ill untie you," she told him. "it's in both of our interest if you just stay here," she warned him.

alec listened to the cerridwen talk,she called him alec kom skairkru. he now had a small idea of what it meant. he continued to listen to waht she had to say. she mentioned a lot about who she was and why she was here. talking about the clans that apparently she wasn’t part of. she talked about jaha being similar to their unnamed commander,power-wise. it was another thing that alec just had to think about. it was a lot to digest,he almost feels as it his head was going to explode because of all the things he’s been hearing in the last twelve hours. being on earth was always a dream,and not a reality.

what really hit him,is what she said about his personal safety. he brought his eyebrows in confusion, it didn’t make sense. the commander sounded deadly,and scary. if cerridwen has to live in fear and away from what it seems to be the population. she was an outcast to them. it was odd. was everyone like this? it was also weird because cerridwen sounded nice but intimidating. she was something that alec couldn’t put his finger on. though alec still didn’t trust her at all. he didn’t feel safe but whatever she was telling him sounded like it was the truth. she wouldn’t lie to him about being a pawn in whatever game the commander plays. she seemed like she was actaully afraid of what civilization came to be.

she mentioned that she was born different and left to avoid battling for her life. it’s something that alec was definitely new to and something he didn’t understand. it had to be part of their culture or some religious beliefs. he knew that whatever culture they had was going to be different from alec’s culture. he didn’t know whether to be afraid of the commander or the commander’s actions. both seemed deadly,he had to warn the others. it would be selfish not to tell him about this knowledge.

alec’s thoughts were interrupted when she suggested to untie him. she wanted him to stay here,saying it would be in her best interest and his. alexander thought different,he had to tell the others. let them know about the possible dangers of the commander. though alec probably didn’t stand a chance against cerridwen and her sword,her called herself a warrior. that’s something alec couldn’t change. the teen simply nodded,soon after the grounder began to untie him. as much as alec did want to run away,he didn’t. he closed his eyes for a second before opening them. his hands were free.

he was deep in thought.looking at the ground. he didn’t know what to say,he was really surprised by everything. alec couldn’t leave she said it wouldn’t be safe. alec thought a lot about what he was going to say next. seconds turned to minutes,at least that’s what it felt like. “it doesn’t feel right to not warn my...my people about your commander...I can’t stay here...” alec explained,looking back up at the girl’s green eyes. he hoped that she would simply comply and let him go. odds were,that wasn’t going to happen.

from what she knew about alexander, cerridwen knew he wouldn't understand what she had gone through in her life. she and her family had been outcasts, left to fend for themselves against the commander and sometimes even against trikru warriors would try to turn her over to the commander to receive a reward. she had fled so she wouldn't have to constantly fight for her life and so she could take care of her family but even this didn't seem to be working out.

she opened her mouth to respond to what he said, ready to tell him that there was nothing he could do to keep his friend's safe. even if he was able to warn them in time, they would still be found and suffer the same fate. suddenly, her father burst in. "heda don mou sin in(the commander has been seen)," her father told her hastily. she turned back to alexander. "the commander was seen in the woods close to here, we have to leave," she told him. she pulled her mask back over her face and turned towards her father. she nodded to him. "get mother and then we will leave," she told him. he nodded and rushed back to their small house to get her mother and their weapons. cerridwen was about to leave but paused and turned back to alexander. "you can come with us and live or go back to your people and die," she told him. "but it's your choice to make," she said before she walked out of the shed, leaving him to make his choice while she helped her father gather their belongings.
