he nodded in acknowledgement. "Of course, i'll start on that." he took a moment to glance around the clearing before leaping off of the highrock. he spared chedarstorm another look, his pelt prickling with worry. the poor tom had been nervous about invasions since food became scarce, and he looked like he had stayed up for a moon. the deputy decided to speak with him once the apprentices were organized.
he padded up to crowpaw and emberpaw, nodding in greeting to the two. "you two should head out and hunt. try the thicket behind the camp, no one's hunted there in a while." he looked to the side before noticing buckpaw still in his nest.
magpietalon stuck his head in the apprentice's den, huffing quietly. "buckpaw, seapaw, oceanpaw, get up and get to work. you all need to go hunting."

Buckpaw // tom - apprentice

buckpaw's eyes shot open at magpietalon's annoyed tone, his gaze cloudy and confused. "sorry, magpietalon! i must've overslept." he stood, nudging oceanpaw with his nose. "c'mon, get up. the clan needs to be fed."

Emberpaw // molly - apprentice

emberpaw winced with sympathy for the apprentices, knowing full well how grumpy magpietalon got when they didn't get up in the morning. she turned to her brother, nodding towards the camp entrance. "c'mon, let's go find some grub."

Quickstar - Tom
The leader laid his head on his paws. Then he hopped up. Then he sat down. Then he got back up. What was he supposed to be doing again? He hung his head. He hadn't been eating and he'd been very tired lately. He wanted to care for his clan first. If he was to starve, Magpietalon would make a wonderful leader. He sat down, his eyes closing slowly.

Blackfire - She Cat
Blackfire eyed Grapeshine curiously, nodding to her. "I'm doing alright, how are you doing?" Blackfire had planned on going on a patrol, but one quick look at the freshkill pile and Magpietalon's worried words told her she was to go hunting.

Crowpaw - Tom
Crowpaw grinned at Emberpaw, yawning as he nodded. "Yea, let's go before Magpietalon loses it!" He made his way slowly to the entrance of the camp.

Sneezekit - Tom
Sneezekit is sleeping happily in the nursery, dreaming about becoming a warrior. Me too, Sneezekit.

Ravenkit saw herself woken up in the nursery. Someone probably just lifted her up to the nursery when she was sleeping in the apprentice den for a while.

Lambblast lifted her head towards her deputy when she heard him mention hunting. She looked over at her apprentice, Crowpaw, and decided that was her patrol. She got up from where she sat near the nursery and followed the two fellow Clanmates out of camp.

"Fine, but rather confused." Grapeshine told Blackfire, looking up at Magpietalon, hearing him send out patrols. "How did he get to become deputy while I still have to wait?" She muttered to the smokey dark gray and ginger warrior. She let out a sigh, hearing him send out patrols, wishing she were in that position instead.

Mouseberry
Where?: LightClan Camp, Medicine Den//Tags: Open!

The white she-cat noticed more and more warriors getting up, bustling around and communicating with one another. She heard Emletsflower scold at her kits and watched as the small bundles of fur rush into the nursery. It wouldn't be wise to go against anything Emletsflower said. Mouseberry thought to herself, slowly emerging out of her den. The medicine cat felt rather secure enough to leave her den and enjoy the fresh, cool air until the sun came up to heat up camp. Mouseberry crept over to the other end of camp, laid down, and enjoyed the air. She looked from side to side every once in a while just in case there was anything, anything she should be wary of. In reality, there wasn't anything to be worried about. The Clan's warriors were waking and that meant more protection, but Mouseberry wasn't buying it. She didn't want to depend on the rest of her Clan for her own safety.

Quollkit's ears drooped down at the sound of her mother's voice. Emletsflower was terrifying when angry, but luckily for her, the calico wasn't only aiming her threats at her. "S-sowwy, mum." Quollkit mewed, leaping away from the entrance of the nursery.

Sneezykit was taken by surprise when he heard Emletsflower. "Right. Sorry, mom." Sneezykit murmured, sniffling. He bounded over to the nest she laid in. He hoped his mother wasn't going to blame him for anything, so he added, "But I wasn't going to go out there, I promise!"

Blackfire raised an eyebrow. "My mate is perfectly capable at what he's doing. Quickstar is out of sorts and he's been handling that as well. Quickstar made a choice based on his judgement and I trust my leader." She sniffed and continued to clean her fur.

Crowpaw looked back to see his mentor. "Hi, Lambblast! Did you decide camp was boring?" He snickered, playfully nudging her.

"Well, duh! Camp is always boring!" Lambblast said, catching up with her apprentice. She looked the two young cats then forward at the forest that surrounded LightClan's camp. "So, where do you guys want to go?" Lambblast asked.

Grapeshine perked her ears up, in surprise. She looked back at the tom, then at Blackfire. "I suppose, but deputy was my StarClan-given role." She meowed, trying to hide her envy for Magpietalon's position in the Clan, despite the tom being much older, knowledgeable, and deserving of the role than her. She let out a sigh, then muttered, "What must I do to get his position?"

She rolled her eyes. "Young cats always believe they are more deserving of a role that has been given to an older cat. He's doing fine, no need to sound so traitorous." Blackfire huffed and stood up, fed up with the younger she cat. She looked at her. "Perhaps instead of complaining about what you should have been, you should do something for your clan, like hunt, since you think he isn't doing a proper job of keeping the freshkill pile." She shook her head and padded over to Magpietalon, rubbing her head against his shoulder and leaving the younger she cat behind.

Crowpaw - Tom
Crowpaw grinned. "We're going hunting behind the camp. The really creepy, old thicket? That's where we're going." He paused, listening for a moment. "I don't hear anything." He muttered unhappily.

nudging his mate back, he chuckled. "grapeshine giving you a hard time again?" he asked, his whiskers twitching. grapeshine and blackfire had their odd feuds in the past, and although magpietalon wasn't quite sure what they argued about, he knew it could get blackfire worked up pretty easily.

emberpaw bumped her shoulder against crowpaw's. "hey, don't give up so quick!" she lowered her voice, whispering like she had a secret to share. "i found a squirrel's stash of acorns yesterday while i was looking for prey-- we can use them to lure out some mice." she looked up at lambblast, hoping the warrior would approve of her idea.

She's trying to take your position. Thinks you're not doing enough." Blackfire, of course, thought her mate was doing a wonderful job, and so did Quickstar, apparently, as he had become much more withdrawn lately. She worried about him.

Crowpaw - Tom
Crowpaw jumped at the idea. "That's a great idea! Maybe we'll lure some birds as well!" He grinned, thinking about making his clan proud. His chest puffed up.
