the fact that the wolf was nervous didn’t help her growing nerves. although she was sure the one being hunted was the canine and not herself, the fact that a man was stalking around with a rifle in his hands wasn’t the most comforting of thoughts. somehow the idea of staying in the bushes was well understood and amelia gave a curt nod in responce, silently praying that the wolf was not going to maul the man - she highly doubted that he would but there was always the possibility of that happening. amelia strained to hear anything and was met with nothing but muffled noises, the density of the bushes keeping her from hearing clearly. one thing that was audible was a pain-filled howl, causing amelia to scramble from her hiding spot and into the clearing, releived to see there was no hunter or gun shells lining the floor. amelia sighed and headed slowly towards the darkest area of the clearing, guessing the wolf had gone to where it was least visible ”thanksfor that” she muttered, referring to when he had gotten her out of the hunter’s sight. ”can you walk? if so, we can head to the edge of thr forest and you can wait there whilst i get some bandages and what not for that wound” amelia still thought it was stupid that she was talking to an animal but then again, any form of communication they had so far was seemingly understood, so, it was worth a shot.
