Clara
she sighed this was a new kingdom to her she didn't know the layout of the streets so trying to find her way back when it was dark out was not a safe idea. the ale was starting to take effect in her system having not drunk before she was clearly a lightweight rubbing her forehead a little she tried to prolong the feeling from taking effect. she felt another man come up to her and was about to ask him to leave when she recognized the voice turning she looked at him surprised "it is you!" she said happily. throwing her arms around his neck she hugged him close "I-I am so glad to see you I got lost... and those men... I just was scared!" she said sounding exasperated she could finally feel herself shaking from everything going on.

Richard

He was caught off guard when the girl hugged Richard it took him a moment to recognize who it was, “What are you doing in a place like this? Especially at this time,” Richard asked. He wasn’t sure if he should return the hug he was hesitant at first, but once he felt her starting to shake he gave her a comforting hug. “I’m sorry that happened to you…I should take you back to the castle.” He added. Richard was worried about her he started to think about what could've happened if he wasn't there and it was also a good thing that he wasn't too drunk.

Clara
Pulling back after a little she took a shaky breath "I couldn't sleep I went to explore a little but I got lost too fast... There was a strange man outside following me so I came in here" she explained. Moving a few strands of hair from her face she looked at him "don't apologize it's not your fault I should have been more careful" she said. Looking down she frowned "I suppose that would be the best idea," she said despite knowing she didn't want to go back yet that place still felt so strange to be in.

Richard

“Ah, well... I’m sure you’ve heard this a lot, but it’s not safe to go out by yourself, especially for someone of your status.” Richard followed her gaze when he told her that he was going to take her back to the castle. “It seems like you don’t even want to go back…” Richard wanted to suggest something else, but he wasn’t sure and he was worried that the castle staff might me looking for her. “Welp, I guess we should get going now.” He said as he laid down a few coins to pain for the drinks he ordered and he extended his hand out to Clara, “Shall we go?”

Clara
she sighed she did hear it allot everyone worried about her no matter what she was doing. watching him she nodded "yeah I have to admit I find it so strange to sleep in a new place," she said. sliding off the stool she looked around unsurely "and what about you will you be able to go home okay?" she asked not wanting him to have any issues getting home. Taking his hand she smiled as they headed towards the door she could hear a few of the men who had been harassing her get angry that she had picked 'him of all people'.

Richard

Richard slightly laughed when he heard all the others complain once they were outside Richard spoke again, “I wish I could do more to help you, but there’s not a lot I can do.” He sighed, “oh! And to answer your question: I dunno. I’m usually able to make it home fine.” That wasn’t the truth he’s usually drunk and ends up sleeping on/in something he’s not supposed to be. Richard felt a little defiant of the rules when he was holding Clara’s hand he took a moment to think about what could happen if someone from the castle saw he really didn’t care about what happened to him he was more worried about what would happen to her and how it would damage her loyalty to the kingdom.

Clara
She raised her eyebrow a little skeptical when he said 'usually' she pictured him trying to walk home and getting attacked out of the blue for no apparent reason. Squeezing his hand lightly she smiled up at him "you will stay in one of the guest rooms tonight" she said making it more of an order rather than an offer for him. "you don't have to stay for breakfast tho I am sure the prince would be curious to hear from you" she said knowing it would put him in a very awkward situation so she would not blame him for sneaking out in the morning.

Richard

Richard's heart skipped a beat when Clara squeezed his hand it made him feel appreciated. He could hear the forcefulness in her force it overwhelmed him a little at first he was going to reject her offer but he knew he’d end up staying anyways, “Wouldn’t it be a little wrong for me to stay? I’m not rejecting your offer, I’m just a little curious.” he stated.

Clara
She nodded "A little but if I explain you are my rescuer and that I could not let you go home in unsafe conditions that may smooth things out better," she told him. While it did worry her what her fiance would say she could not talk herself into letting him go alone and risk him like that. Looking at him she smiled again "It will be fine okay I don't mind taking any blame if it means you get home safe" she said nudging him with her shoulder lightly.

Richard

Clara’s plan for a cover-up made Richard feel a little bit better even if was the truth, Richard wasn’t sure how he felt about returning to castle as he was already there earlier in the day and he definitely didn’t plan on coming back so soon. He didn’t like the fact the Clara could get into trouble for going out on her own. He knew if he stayed for the night the morning might bring an awkward conversation which could either end well or end terribly. “Thank you. Once again, you’ve done so much for me today.”
