Clara
She nodded towards a maid who quickly came back with two platters one with assorted sandwiches and the other half had meats and cheeses and half had sweets on it. Looking down at her cup she asked carefully "do many people go without food here? is it too expensive? or what necessities do people go without?" She hoped people in the kingdom were not suffering as she had heard before some kingdoms the people go without food while the royals eat and waste much of the rations.

Isabella
She stopped her horse and looked at him "I don't mean to be rude but... I didn't think a royal would truly care about something to do with someone like me" she tilted her head slightly "don't you have other things you should focus on? It is never too late to at least try for your dream or get a new one as everyone deserves happiness or at least a chance for it" she reacher her hand out to his shoulder in hopes of offering her comfort but froze a few inches away realizing she would probably get in trouble. Dropping her hands back down she looked forward "you can't run a country if you are not happy your people will sense it everyone will know in their own way" she told him.

Nicholas

Nicholas shrugged, "You'd be surprised how many people do care." he took a moment before responding, "Not right this moment, I'm supposed to be getting married next week and I've been preparing for the past two weeks for my wedding and my fianceé is visiting so my time is very occupied. Coming here is really my only escape." His gripped tightened on the reigns before he turned to look at Isabella, "I'm really not ready to get married, just think the whole town will be expecting us to produce an heir-" he stopped himself before he said anything else, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't share my problems that don't concern you..."

Richard

Richard tilted his head at the sudden burst of questions, "Um, no, I just never ate before I left my house. I wasn't supposed to be out this long, my mother had asked me to get milk, but I got a little sidetracked. Thank you once again, M'lady." He was still surprised about how concerned she was for him and the others like him, "You're really nice and I like that. I think the people will really like you!" He gave her a big smile, he felt like he made a friend of the future queen even though this could be the last time he would ever get to talk to her.

Isabella- Farm girl
"that is just not right! Why do people always force their dreams and expectations on their kids" she got upset "it's not our fault we were not born and raised to be exactly who they want we all like different things" she continued. Kicking her horse forward she frowned "sorry I didn't mean to get upset like that and you are welcome here anytime if you are allowed of course" she offered. She had to admit she was a little disappointed to hear he was engaged not that she actually thought she would have a chance with him.

Clara-Princess
She smiled "Thank you I hope so just because it was not my choice to be here doesn't mean I won't care about people" she glanced out the window again. "I mean I was raised to always think for other first so its what I am used to in my kingdom we would hold weekly open castles where our people would come see me to voice their concerns or if they needed help" she explained to him.

Nicholas

“I’ll certainly take you up on your offer.” He agreed with Isabella’s little rant, but he wasn’t going to say anything to further the subject, “I have to say, I’ve had a really nice time with you. Thank you, not everyday I get to spend time with someone like you.” He wanted to be able to spend more time with her really, Nicholas like Isabella more than he was allowed to, he wouldn’t let his feelings get the best of him though.

Richard

“Really? That seems like it would take a lot of time to organize. What kinds of things did you help with?” Richard was interested in Clara’s ways he wondered if she would continue it here or if Nicholas would even allow her to mingle with commoners if she was that means they’d have another chance to talk again. “M’lady, might I ask, what’s Prince Nicholas like? I’ve never really seen him in person before which is understandable, but he doesn’t make many public appearances.” Which Richard thought was unusually if he ruled a kingdom he’d make an appearance - or at least try to - almost every week maybe even more.

Isabella
she smiled "It has been nice having company around even just for a while," she said leading them back towards her farm she wished he didn't have to leave but of course as a prince, he must have a lot to do. "so did you decide on the one you wanted?" she asked rubbing her horses neck as the continued heading back

Clara
"yeah its what took most of my time usually what I helped with was small things like land disputes other times people asked me to help forgive debts" she explained to him taking another sip of tea. She grew nervous when he asked about the prince "I don't really know I only saw him for a few moments today and that is it..." she kept her eyes down. She realized he had been gone for a while and would probably be back soon it would be rather scandalous if he came home to find her talking with another man.

Nicholas

“I think I’ll have both of them, but I’ll leave one here. For future visits.” He said, smiling. Nicholas looked at both horses, “How much?” He was willing to pay anything he was wanting to use the other horse as an excuse to leave the castle and maybe to see Isabella too.

Richard

“Oh... Well, I should probably go soon. I don’t think he’d appreciate it.” Of course if Clara offered for him to stay longer he would, but Richard felt like he’s stayed long enough only because he was talking to a royal figure and if Prince Nicholas came in he would probably - or he thought - get executed for breaking into the castle and he may get called an assassin, which he little to no interest in killing someone.

Isabella
She smiled and nodded "Alright" she stared down doing the math in her head "each horse will be 7 silver pieces and board for the one will be 10 coppers per month most of the cost is for feed is that alright?" she asked. As they got close to the farm she noticed movement on the edge of the pasture narrowing her eyes she could only see the grass moving but knew something predatory was there due to the cattle and horses discomfort. "Pardon me for a moment you can go back to the barn if you please" she said and whistled her horse came trotting over and she jumped switching horses readying her bow.

Clara
"unfortunately that may be a good idea tho I truly did enjoy your company" she told him as she stood up to escort him back to the main castle doors. Thinking for a moment she asked "what is your fathers store? perhaps I could come at some point if that would be okay with you?" she knew she was crossing a line by asking but at the moment he was her only friend. She enjoyed how genuine he was being with her normally people sucked up to her or were very fake and she was used to that he was different tho.

Nicholas

"Ah yes, I'll pay you once you get back," Nicholas said, he watched her ride off to deal with whatever predator was approaching. Nicholas went up to his escort and told him that he was going to buy both horses and leave one here, Nick then asked that his escort retrieved the correct amount of money and of course a tip. He wandered through the barn looking at all the other horses, he wondered if his fianceé was doing okay, he had been gone for awhile and was wondering if she had gotten a good rest and was comfortable in his castle and with his workers.

Richard

Richard looked a little sad when Clara had stood up, once again it caught him off guard when she said 'unfortunately', "My father's shop? Oh, it's a Deli in the Western side of town, called: Apsen meats, and of course, it's fine if you come visit. Well, it may surprise my family..." Richard had finally stood up, but not before grabbing one last sandwich, he quite enjoyed them. "Thank you, once again. M'lady." He said bowing. Richard hoped she'd come to visit, on her free time of course and if she felt like it, he knew he shouldn't expect routine visits, but he could dream.

Isabella
She halted her horse a distance away and hopped off crouching low she moved into the grass stopping to listen she needed to know what animal it was to know how to deal with it. Due to being only one she doubted it was wolves as they always hunter larger prey in packs so that probably meant a fox or cougar. Picking up a rock she threw it into the bush gasping when she soon after saw a cougar lunging out at her startled she shot the bow missing and hitting its shoulder "Shoot!" she huffed dashing to the side out of the way.

Clara
She nodded "I will remember that" she smiled leading him towards the main doors "thank you for giving me your time today" she told him. Looking at the door she took a breath "I would also like to invite you to my wedding in about 7 days" she asked carefully. She didn't really know if she was allowed to invite him but she felt it was only polite.

Nicholas

Nicholas stared at one of the horses he bought as he got lost in thought about his future, was getting married in his best interest or was it in his country’s best interest? He wasn’t sure. He knew for sure that both parties would be unsatisfied either way, still he thought he was being rather rude to his fiancée he hadn’t really had enough time to talk to her and yet he already was questioning the decision of getting married not that he had any say in the matter.

Richard

“It’s in a week? I’ll try to come, do you think I’ll even be allowed in?” Richard asked, it seemed less than likely that the guards would let a peasant in, he didn’t even have an invitation even if he did the guards would probably think it’s fake or stolen off another guest and very will probably be thrown in jail. Richard was also worried that he might start rumors, “I don’t have anything nice to wear, either. I’ll save up though! For you…” He hoped she didn’t offer to buy him anything he felt that she had already given him enough more than he could ever ask for really.
