After listening to what Daemon had to say with a impassive expression, Erebus opened his jaws to reply. “The Imperium lives far away from here, deep in the northern mountains. All the dogs my Imperium are taught to be just as brutal as our lands, if not more.” The travel from the mountains was admittedly long, though the old train that ran through the abandoned town just south of the eastern border had aided them along their travels. Once Nike spoke, Erebus shrugged as he looked out onto the crowd. “Only if you wish, Nike.” He said calmly, smiling briefly at her. He turned his attention back onto Daemon. “Where is your pack? You seemed to have come with no dogs alongside you.”

He nodded his head as Perseus explained, and once he mentioned being high priest he chimed in. “We have similar ranks, I speak with the gods on occasion too, though not as often as your Demi-god, it sounds like.” He listened to Perseus’ explanation of being a “Demi-god” in his pack, even how Alcides was destined for greatness. “That sounds like a lot of pressure to bear. Dae exclaimed. “Mount Olympus seems to be very connected and faithful to their gods, it is admirable.”

As Pippa asked about how life was back at home, he waited a moment to think. He knew not to disclose too much information, so kept it simple. “Well it’s a lot colder,” He said with a small chuckle. “And certainly not as relaxed.” He continued, half to himself. It was a change, the gathering, not like the regular day in the Imperium. Always training, fighting, competing. Here it seemed a whole lot different. “What about you?”

Nymeria’s tail thumped on the snowy ground as Chase perked up at the mention of friendship. She listened to him explain how the cadets in his kennel were all too young or busy. She let out a soft bark of sympathy, nodding her head in understanding. "I feel the same way about my fellow tiros sometimes too. They’re all either to busy trying to become fully fledged members or too young!” He mentioned a dog named Tundra, and she smiled. “I hope one day I get to meet her, she sounds like a nice dog!”
