He nodded to get Chinese takeout. Nick didn't particularly like Chinese food, but he could get something else for himself. "I'm Nicholas... Or Nick." He glanced at his phone, seeing that he'd gotten a message from someone. Nick steered his attention back to his roommate. "Anything specific you'd like?"

”some Singapore noodles would be great, thanks. Ill pay you back when you come home” she said before turning to the box that contained her school supplies. unfortunately for her, she had been set a pre-class assignment and hadn’t been able to complete it due to moving around. the girl sighed quietly and began to search for her sketchbook, brainstorming some ideas on what to do.

Nick nodded as he left her room, grabbing his keys off his bedside table and leaving the dorm. He walked down to the parking lot and found his car and unlocked it. Nicholas sat down in the driver's seat and shut his door, turning the key to start the engine. He backed out of the school's parking lot and flew down the road, heading towards all of the restaurants. First, he went through the drive-thru of the Chinese place and ordered Jamie's Singapore noodles and a water, since he didn't know what drinks she liked but wanted to get her something. The next stop was McDonald's where Nick ordered his cheeseburger, fries, and coke. Heading back home to his dorm, he checked the time and it was around 5:30 pm. Nicholas carried the take-out to his dorm and unlocked the door with his keys. "Food is here," He called as he set everything down on the table and pulled out a chair, sitting down to eat his meal.

”pathetic” Jamie whispered under her breath as she glared at the page in her sketchbook. she had quickly drawn a few flowers, sampling different petal shapes and shading techniques. the rose on the top corner of the page was the only sketch she thought was decent, causing the brunette to snap the book shut and throw it onto her bed out of pure annoyance and lack of patience to attempt another drawing. a few minutes passed, all of which was spent with Jamie glaring at the book on her bed before Nick’s voice snapped her out of her thoughts. ”coming” she shouted, exiting her bedroom and headed into the dorm’s main room. the smell of the food hit her instantly, making her stomach rumble quietly in hunger as she quickly grabbed a fork from one of the kitchen drawers. ”thanks for getting this. how much do I owe you?”

He set her water down next to the rest of her food and unpacked his meal from the brown, paper McDonald's bag. "It was $6, but it's fine, you don't have to pay me back." He said as he snacked on his salty fries. Nick glanced at her drink before adding, "I got you a water, didn't know what you wanted to drink. Hope that's okay."

jamie was slightly surprised that he didn’t mind her not paying him back; they were college kids, typically people were paranoid by how much money they were spending (she sure was). but, no way in hell would she complain anytime soon.jamie sat down at the table and opened up the food container ”waters great. thanks” she muttered, taking a bite of the noodles. ”so,uh, what are you studying?” she asked in a pathetic attempt to make small talk.

Nicholas smiled as she announced that water was okay. He finished his burger as she began her small talk. "Not completely sure yet. I think I'm put down for business but I kinda want to do physical education." He sipped on his Coke and ate a few fries. "What about you?"

”nice” she replied softly, not envying him if he stuck with business,
it was way too formal for her liking. buf then again everyone was different; she couldn’t judge.
”im doing art, i have my first class tomorrow morning” jamie replied with a small frown,
not looking forward to the early morning start and the homework she would certainly receive
by the end of the day.

He chuckled lightly, though almost choking on his fries. She didn't seem too fond about whatever was on her mind. "The most important question that I realize I should've asked you, is, can you draw?" He said that with a little sarcasm, but all in good humor. He had just met the girl, and wasn't trying to be rude. As he awaited his reply, he slurped down the last drops of his soda, signaling that he was finished with his meal.

(I am so, so sorry for making you wait so long! My laptop broke and I am awaiting a new one and this is the first time I've had access to a computer.)

”nope i just took it cause i felt like it” she replied sarcastically, laughing briefly at his question. if she had less talent than she currently possessed, well, she’d be even more screwed than she already was. ”im ... alright, i guess. nothing special” jamie murmured with a slight shrug, unscrewing her bottle’s lid and taking a sip of water. ”so do you think you’ll swap to physical education or stick with business?”
