jamie was stood outside of the college's main building, eyeing the building with disinterest. she was here for her paintings and qualifications, that's it - she didn't need to like the place. with a loud sigh, the brunette hitched her backpack further up her shoulder before she entered the main reception. fortunately, there was little to no line and soon enough jamie was next up. the woman at the desk, whose name tag revealed that she was called 'mrs knightly', gave the teenager a sickeningly fake smile before asking her name "jamie walsh" she muttered, watching the receptionist check her details and print off what she needed. a few minutes later and jamie was walking out of the building with her timetable and dorm room number. classes didn't start for her till tomorrow, so the girl headed over to the dorms to go and settle in.

Parking his car in front of the office building, Nick got out and walked up the steps, going inside. He waited his turn in line, taking the chance to go on his phone. A lady said "next" and he stepped up to the desk."Name?" she asked. "Nicholas Shantel." The woman handed him a few stapled papers and Nick smiled before leaving. He got back in his car and looked at his dorm number. Nicholas drove into a different parking space that was closer to his dorm and went upstairs. He knocked on the door to see if anyone was in there. "Hello?"

this was the part jamie had been dreading the most; the roommate. sure, if they were quiet and respected her privacy they would get along well. but this was college - most people only came for the 'experience' and the parties rather than getting their grades. "it's unlocked, come in" shouted from her spot on the sofa, too lazy and unbothered to get up and welcome them. they were roommates, not friends - only her friends had access to her manners.

He twisted the doorknob, opening the door. Nick entered the room and closed the door back behind himself. The girl didn't seem to want to talk to him so he let her be as he set his bags down on the side of the room that she was not on. Nicholas began unpacking,
putting his clothes in the closet near his bed. Once he finished, he shoved the suitcases under his bed and looked at himself in the mirror, ruffling his hair.

jamie huffed and crossed her arms, shifting around on the sofa. she was in the middle of debating on whether to be productive or not - she had a room's worth of boxes to unpack and needed to sort out what she would need for tomorrow's days of classes. her meeting of her roommate was pretty uneventful yet at least the guy respected her privacy, which she was grateful for. with a short sigh, the girl pushed herself off the sofa and went towards the empty bedroom where she had dumped her bags and stuff earlier. "well this is going to be fun" she muttered, walking over to the bag that contained her clothes and started to unpack them and put them in the closet.

He turned to look at Jamie as she was making a lot of noise, huffing and sighing. As she went into another room, Nick sat down on his bed and looked over his schedule. His stomach growled and he wondered what he would be having for dinner. It was already around 4:00 pm, so Nick decided to go pick up some fast food. He thought he should be nice and offer to get the girl something since she seemed pretty busy. "Hey," Nicholas stood in the doorway of her bedroom. "I'm gonna go pick up some dinner, do you want anything?"

"ummm ... could you pick up some chinese, if you don't mind? cheers" she muttered before deciding to get introductions over and done with at the same time "so, im jamie ... and you are?" jamie asked, trying her best to be polite. the guy seemed to be pretty decent so far, so hopefully, the whole 'roommate' thing would be a lot easier than jamie first thought. whilst waiting for his answer, jamie took the time to look over her room. everything had been packed but it still didn't look right to her - it still looked like a crappy dorm room to her. the girl made a mental note to go to the local store to pick up a couple things to make the room look nice.
