Aspen looked over to him as he seemed to catch up and walk next to him, rolling his eyes as he asked what was for breakfast. "Mm, what do you fancy? I already have what I'm eating so really it's up to you." He spoke, looking to the blue hood that disguised him just enough so the other townspeople wouldn't notice. "Bakery, cafe, where would you like to go?"

"You live down here, you should know what's best, shouldn't you?" Alaric said sarcastically. "I'll eat anything." He added, padding along side Aspen. He kept his head down and tried to not attract too much attention to himself. If he was found outside of the gates, without protection, there's no telling what could happen. As the two walked, Alaric admired Aspen with a stoney expression- memorizing his features piece by piece.

"I know what I can afford." He retorted with a smirk as he looked over to see the kalon hiding his head just a bit better. Looking around the township as the neared the centre, watching people part as he walked slowly with the blue hooded kalon next to him. Glancing at the shops and the people inside them before over to Alaric. "Alright, let's see, what's fitting for you." He mumbled to himself before brushing against the kalons shoulder as he walked towards a lovely looking cafe, white railings and seats outside, umbrellas to give off more shade, a large tree sitting just outside as he walked with a smirk. These people would never have served him, but the king had money and most places liked money... not that they knew that the blue hooded figure that walked with him had money.

Alaric noticed that they were nearing a lovely shoppe in the center of town. He gave a look of approval towards Aspen. The two trotted towards the shoppe and Alaric felt weird when walking next to Aspen. Alaric had felt this way before, but only for short periods of time, as he was afraid of attachment. He feared that it was too late for him this time though; there was something about Aspen that he could just not shake.

Having walked through the door, a bell above them jingled altering everyone to their arrival. Looking at the faces of fear, the faces of disgust, the faces of curiosity he snorted and rolled his eyes, glancing to the kalon by his side with a soft smile. "Here, pick what you like the sound of." He hummed before walking slowly, looking over the array of food, before the menu above his head. Glancing over it all before to Alaric once more, he couldn't call him Princey or Alaric here... nor could he really call him Kitten. It's was fine, he'd get his breakfast and then they could leave.

Alaric spoke in whispers, careful to not alert the townspeople around them. He already knew that all eyes were on them, imagine if they knew it were the king under the faded blue cloak. "The third one that you said, that will be perfect." After speaking, Alaric realized something, something that he could maybe use to his advantage. Alaric stood tall and proud, but hung his head.

Aspen glanced at him and nodded softly as he talked softly about the third one. Walking to the counter he looked to the cashier with a beaming smile across his lips, of course, it was fake and more to agitate them than anything. "They would like that, now, to go. We don't wanna stick around." He sniggered before glancing to Alaric as he seemed to be waiting oh so patiently. The cashier glared, turning up their nose as they walked to collect Alaric's breakfast. Walking back to meet him. "I hope you brought money" He hummed, head tilting softly and under so he could look at the prince properly as they talked.

Alaric liked the fact that Aspen took the time to look at him while speaking, respect is key. He reached into his pouch for the money and handed it over to Aspen, discreetly of course. Alaric lifted his head slightly to take another glance at Aspen- it was as if he couldn't get enough of this strange Kal. "Thank you." Alaric whispered, lowering his head again. He adjusted his posture so that it didn't look so pristine, so that he didn't look royal. They shouldn't notice me, they won't..

Aspen smiled and nodded his head, walking back to the counter, pushing the money in their direction before snatching the mans food with a huff. Turning back to Alaric as he walked shoulder to shoulder with him. "Let's get outta here." He hummed, heading towards the exit once again. "Happily carrying his food as to ensure the man had to follow if he wanted a bite of it at all. Looking around the town he snorted and rolled his eyes. "Back to the shop then?" He asked, head tilting once more to get in the kalons face. Grin on his lips.

Alaric followed the Kalon once again, happy to be out of that shoppe, and happy to be right beside Aspen. "Definitely, lets get out of here." Alaric hated hiding out like this in the public eye, considering that he came down here so often, and now would probably be down here more anyways because of Aspen. Some people loved the king, while others, not so much- which was expected because he couldn't make everyone happy. He trotted along side Aspen, a new grin on his face. Though being stuck in hiding and walking in a stance that was uncomfortable to him, Alaric was happy. He was finally happy for once.
