"I like trouble." He retorted with a smirk, seeing him out only to see the soft glow around his body. Shaking his head he glanced back at the man properly, letting his eyes follow after him, watching the owl lead him back home, to the bright shining castle and his bright shiny things... The complete opposite of what he had down here, the man was from another world, one not like his own.

A week or two had passed since Alaric's last visit to Aspen's shop.He had done his research, had people ask around town, and of course made sure that he looked okay before headed back into town. With his eyes in the sky above him, he trotted back to the small shop of wonders, a grin on his face. The day had only begun, but Alaric was ready to see the mysterious Kal and figure out who he really was, beyond what the books had to say. As he arrived, he slowed to a stop, considering his options. Burst right in or knock? His tailed flicked with curiousness, wondering if the Kal would even be inside.

Aspen had waited patiently for the man to return, however, after a week he had assumed he had already lost interest. Which wouldn't have mattered much, if he hadn't been expecting the return of the man, so now he was bored. Screwing up his face as he walked, food in hand once more he turned a familiar corner to see a familiar blue hood, smirking softly he watched him for a couple of seconds before walking towards him, brushing past him contently as he had done before, settling just outside the shop once again, sandwich in hand as he began to eat, glancing to him. "You're back."

Alaric turned as he heard the familiar voice behind him. "As I told you I would be." Alaric said, matching Aspen's smirk. He looked him over again, refreshing his eyes on Aspen's look. He felt as if it had been too long, and that he was forgetting Aspen's face. "It took longer than expected. You're a hard man to track down." He padded closer to the man who so nonchalantly ate, just as if it was two weeks ago.

Aspen watched him move closer and snorted, poking his tongue out. "Good, if it took you that long it means no one else will be able to find out about me." He hummed, eating his breakfast slowly as he conversed with the kalon. "So Kitten, what's my name?" He teased, so what if the man had made a comment on the name last time, it suited him, he was nothing more than a kitten. Claws and all. He wouldn't put it past him to use them if necessary.

"Aspen." Alaric said, walking around the back of the kalon. He claws scraped the only cobblestone, creating claw marks as if it was nothing. The smell of Aspen's breakfast had Alaric's stomach grumbling, as he had left before breakfast. "The books don't have much on you, which isn't surprising." Alaric huffed, his ears flicking in the directions of a child's scream. His body was close to Aspen's- the heat that radiated from him was nothing short of a gizers temperature. As Alaric rounded to the front side of Aspen, he got close to his ear and whispered, "And I told you not to call me Kitten."

Aspen let his ears swivel around to follow the direction of Alaric. Smirk on his lips as he heard the growling of his stomach, not phased by the child's scream, the warmth from the Kalon behind him was comforting in a sense, comforting in the way that he knew he wasn't alone, comforting in the way that he knew someone wasn't as afraid of him as most were. Laughing softly he looked to Alaric in front of him with a smirk. Taking another bite of his breakfast as he watched him. "I think it suits you, Kitten." He teased, before looking around. "Maybe you should get something to eat, you're hungry are you not?"

Alaric let out a soft chuckle with the shake of his head. "I am hungry, but I refuse to eat unless I am accompanied." Alaric's tail twisted and turned. "I wonder, oh I wonder who would accompany me," Alaric professed, letting out a dramatic sigh in the process. He peeped from his sigh and looked to Aspen, hoping for some kind of reaction from the Kal.

Aspen watched his dramatic sigh and rolled his eyes as he asked to have company to go get something to eat. "Mm, well, I already have my breakfast, so... I don't know who else could go with you." He teased before shaking his head and pushing himself to move, tail flicking softly as he walked. "Come on Princey, let's go get you something to eat." He called, walking off without a care as to whether or not the man was following. Softly swaying his tail as his ears swivelled around.

Alaric got the reaction he wanted, and was happy with it. He quickly threw off the act and followed behind Aspen. His owl followed behind the two, watching closely to Aspen's every move. Alaric sped up to catch up to Aspen, so that they could walk side-by-side. "What's for breakfast then?" Alaric asked, considering the fact that Aspen was indeed leading the way.
