Suddenly finding her voice, Hazel spoke up. "Yeah, me too. She dragged me here for yearbook photos." she laughed shyly, gesturing to Skylar. Hazel's eyes widened, realizing what she had said. "Not that I'm not having fun though!" she forced a chuckle, her face reddening. Skylar rolled her eyes, giving Hazel a slight kick under the table. Hazel tilted her head downwards again, blushing. Why did she have to be so damn shy all the time?

Kylie smirked to herself slightly, but couldn't help but wonder why this girl was so nervous around her; even if she had been speaking negatively of her, Hazel's anxiety seemed a bit too intense for that. Maybe she was just intimidated to talk to her; Kylie did have that effect on people, but somehow she doubted that. Oh well, Kylie wasn't too concerned about it. "That's good," she said, laughing slightly at the comment about getting dragged here for yearbook photos. She searched for something else to say, but being around new people, Kylie had quite a bit of difficulty with that, so she hoped that one of them would say something to break the brief silence.

Skylar spoke up, saving Hazel or Kylie the trouble. "So, number fourteen, huh? Jordan Carter." Hazel rolled her eyes, her head still tilted downwards. Of all the conversation starters Skylar could come up with, that was the one she chose. She knew she should have been grateful, however. Skylar could be a brat sometimes, but at least she would never directly embarrass Hazel in front of Kylie.

Kylie smiled once again, beaming at the topic of her boyfriend of over a year. She tried not to talk about him that much, as even though they were the school power couple, many of her friends found it annoying when she wouldn't shut up about him; yet if someone else asked, she was more than happy to tell them all about it. "Yeahhh, he's my boyfriend," Kylie laughed. Of course this girl knew that, otherwise she wouldn't have said that, but Kylie was still at a loss for what to say. She had a hard time opening up to new people, even though she tried. If she wasn't a popular cheerleader, many would call her awkward. "My own feelings aside, he is really good at football. He has a scholarship for it." She was trying not to gush too much, although her affection for him was painfully obvious.

"Yeah, he's great." Hazel chimed in, attempting to keep the conversation going even though she wasn't fond of the topic. Even without the fact that Jordan had been dating the girl she had been crushing on for over a year, she had still never liked him. When she had been outed a few years back, his friends were the first to give her a hard time about it. Still, she kept silent about it, in hopes of impressing Kylie.
