Hunter x Hunter Part 2

[Ghost Fox]

Aria nodded a little and then put an arm around her shoulders. "Thanks so much for helping me, it means a lot." She said with a smile on her face. She never met a nice and caring person before, she didn't know how she felt but she was totally grateful. She looked at her, as she limped, "We are almost out of here, we have a little more to go, this exit is in a random spot in the woods, So be on guard when we get out." She said looking at her still, "I really don't know where this is going to come out, all I know its quite a ways from the village." She said, behind them to make sure he wasn't there. She felt bad that they weren't going fast it was hard to because of her ankle. "I am sorry that we aren't going fast, we would have been out of the tunnel if I didn't hurt myself." She said with a soft sigh. Aria can still sense his nen, her eyes glowed a faint green, she made a mud wall behind them, "That should hold, I don't know for how long at least we have some time." She said with a sigh. "That Chimera Ant, he's the one that took my little sister to her death." She said in between sobs.

[Wolves~With~Wings]

"Don't worry about it, I'm sure would do the same for someone else." Shay shook her head, helping support her and walk through the tunnels a bit quicker now, but still carefully. She could feel a slight breeze, so she figured the exit was close, and Aria confirmed it. "When we get out of here, I'll make sure there's no more of those ant things around before we keep moving." She said, continuing to walk "And don't worry about the pace, if we would go any faster, you would just hurt yourself even more." She looked back as Aria made another mud wall "and with things like that to slow him down, we'll be out of here before you know it." The breeze felt like it was getting stronger as they walked, so hopefully the exit was up ahead. She looked over at Aria with a sad look "I'm.... so sorry to hear that. But I promise we'll make them all pay for that. They cant do this sort of thing and think it's okay."


As he walked, Colt could hear the talking getting louder, until it stopped all together. Had they exited the tunnel already? He soon reached a mud wall and realized what had happened. That girl had made another wall, to try and stop him. It wasn't a problem though, and he began to dig through it easily.

Aria nodded, “Yeah, making sure there is no more Chimera Ants are around is a good idea.” She said with a smile on her face, then, she nodded her head a little bit, “Yea, we wouldn’t want this to worsen.” She said with a sigh, “I really can’t believe I fell and hurt myself.” She said with a small chuckle, “I can’t go anywhere.” She said with a smile on her face as she joked around. She rested her hand on her forehead, "I am so clumsy sometimes." She said with a small sigh. She looked at her, "So, um where are you from?." She asked, tilting her head to the side, "we never did get a chance to get to know each other better." She said looking at her still, waiting for her to answer. Aria watched as the hole got bigger and bigger. "Almost there, a little more." She said with a huge smile on her face, she is so happy to get out of the tunnel. She is hoping that no other ants were out there waiting for them.
Aria remembered that it could be near the nest, "I know this leads to a small cliff, so it might lead us to the nest." She said, with a slight gulp. She was nervous, if it did lead there, then they played into the queen's hands, but if it didn't then they may have a chance of getting away from the Chimera ant leader. She looked behind them once more, knowing that the mud might not hold him long since he knew how to dig probably. "Tell me, why are you willing to risk getting caught with me?." She asked, looking at her. She was then quiet for a few moments, thinking of something to say, "I mean it makes perfect sense for you to save yourself and be safe." She said in a low voice. "I am honored you want to stay by my side, but you heard him, you're going to be food for the queen if you get caught." She said, looking at her still, she was slightly panicking, "I wouldn't forgive myself if you got eaten because of me." She said, looking down at the ground.

Shay nodded her head and walked along. She wasn't going to comment anymore about Arias ankle, since she felt like she got her point across about it already. Instead she chuckled a bit and just watched where they were stepping. She thought about the question she was asked for a moment, before answering. "I'm originally from Dolle Harbor, that's where I grew up, but if you're asking where I came from, before I got here, that's a different story." She explained, a light smile on her face. She was happy to hear they were almost out, that was a big relief. She could feel the chimera ants nen getting closer, and that wasn't good. She looked over at Aria when she asked another question. She was silent as she thought about it for a moment. "I mean, it would be smart for me to keep going on my way and save myself, but if I do, who will save you then if you get caught? Besides, once all of the villages are gone around here, what's going to stop them from going anywhere else in the world and taking more people? I think its sort of my job as a hunter to take care of this, don't you think?" She was happy Aria worried about her, but she also wished Aria would let her tag along without worrying as much. "Fighting giant bug monsters might not be my area of expertise, but I think I'll be alright." She said, patting her shoulder lightly with her free hand.

Colt made it through the mud wall after a few minutes, and he could hear the talking again from down further in the tunnel. They didn't make it far, that was surprising. At least he didn't have that much further to go to catch up.

Aria looked at her, She shook her head, "Don't worry about me, I am good at escaping." She said with a smile on her face, "So capturing me is going to be a mistake." She said happily. She thought of everything Shay said, “Dolle Harbor?.” She asked, tilting her head to the side, “Never heard of it before.” She said, looking at her with a tiny Smile. She looked around, “I would like to check out Dolle Harbor sometime.” She said with a small giggle. She looked at her, "Could you tell me more about Dolle Harbor?." She asked, tilting her head to the side. Aria looked at the hole, "We are here." She said, with a smile on her Face, "There's a ladder somewhere around here." She said looking around. She couldn't remember where her father hid the ladder, when the tunnel was built she was so little and her sister was in her mother's tummy. She let out a sigh, "Shay, we have a problem." She said looking at her. She continued to look around, she was low on energy which meant her nen was low, she didn't like that, they were totally at this Chimera ant's mercy. "You watch out for Bugsy, and I'll continue to look for the ladder." She said, glancing at Shay.

Shay chuckled "Well I like the enthusiasm, but so am I. I've escaped from a few places myself, so I have some experience." She joked in a mock-serious tone. She wasn't too surprised that Aria hadn't heard of Dolle Harbor, it wasn't a big or exciting town. "What is there to say? It's a port town, so I used to see a lot of boats and new people everyday. The weather could be unpredictable, but the sunsets were always pretty year round. Oh, and it's also a popular start for the hunter exams!" She rambled off some facts that popped into her head, or least the more interesting ones. "After this is all over I wouldn't mind taking you there, I think you'd like it." she offered, smiling. She looked around the dim area, trying to spot the ladder while Aria looked around for it, but not seeing it either. After a little while of searching, she began to worry there wasn't a ladder at all, but remained hopeful. "Don't worry about him, I'll take care of him if he shows." she said, beginning to focus her nen, just in case.


The talking got louder until Colt knew they were just right ahead, just a few more paces. He could actually see their outlines by now. Did one of them just call him... Bugsy? He couldn't figure out which one it was, but it didn't matter. They appeared to be trapped, so this was his chance to capture them. He stopped once he got within clear earshot of the two. "It's time to stop running."

Aria moved suddenly and a little to fast, so she fell, her ankle was getting more and redder and more pain, She got right back up, she couldn't show fear, at least not around him. She finally found the ladder against the wall, "FOUND IT!." She said happily, She picked it up and put it against the top of the hole, "Shay climb, go." She said, looking at Shay, She waited for her to go. “I have to find another way up, I cant climb.” She said with a small sigh. She held the ladder so that it wouldn’t fall or move when Shay started to climb. She thought of something she could do, she could use her nen to get her out of the tunnel. She nodded as she agreed with herself, "Shay please." She begged knowing that she wouldn't go without her, "We cant get caught by Bugsy." She said, looking at her, waiting for her to say something. She waited, "Please I'll be right behind you." She said, with a smile on her face. She kept her eye on Bugsy, "You monster, don't you dare move, or Else." She said, glaring at him.

Shay narrowed her eyes, trying to get a better look at the chimera ant in front of her. He definitely looked like a bug, so guess he earned that nickname. When Aria found the ladder she slowly backed up towards it, keeping her eyes on the ant. "When I get up there, I'm going to pull you out, just trust me, please." She said to Aria in a low voice, hoping mr. bug-man didn't hear. She quickly climbed the ladder, skipping a few rungs here and there till she was out of the tunnel. She turned around quickly and leaned down into the tunnel again, reaching her hand for Aria "Here, come on!"


Colt knew only the one human was needed, requested actually, and that was the injured one still down with him. This capture would be simple. He walked forward towards her and grabbed her by the arm, pulling her away from the other human that was trying to help her

Aria kicked Colt in the face with her bad foot, because you know it happened to be her foot she always uses to kick with. A sudden burst of pain ran through her, "Ouch that's a hard face." She said jumping on her other foot, she took this chance and reached for Shay's hand, "Hurry." She said in a scared tone. She kept her eyes on Colt, she didn't want him to move, but she couldn't keep him in place, her nen and energy were super low, all she had now is weak attacks. She looked back between the two, hoping she's not to heavy for Shay. Aria had her eyes closed, it was easier to have her eyes closed, then opened and that the brightness from the outside is bright for her at the moment. She looked around the area, taking in her surroundings, "We need to keep moving." She said with a yawn, "Although I am tired and need rest." She said, with a sigh. She looked up at the sun for a little bit, taking in the beauty of the world, evening though there was danger and the chimera ants are killing humans off one by one, the world still knew how to be beautiful. "This day is the worse, watching my village get taken away, getting chased by Bugsy, getting hurt." She said with an annoyed sighed, "Can this day get any worse?." She asked, not meaning it, but you know she couldn't help but wonder, could this queen really have sent one chimera ant captain leader after her.

Colt winced slightly at the kick, mostly because he didnt expect it so he had not time to defend against it. He looked up from where he was to see the other girl pulling the village girl up out of the tunnel. He couldn't fly out after them, his wings couldn't open in this enclosed space. He'd have to climb out himself, just as they did.


Shay was ready to jump back down into the tunnel, but Aria had already shook off the chimera ant. She grabbed her hand and, with a little bit of help from nen, pulled her up out of the tunnel. She knocked over the ladder before she stood up and went to check if Aria was alright. She seemed okay, but was clearly tired. She must have used a lot of nen back there... Shay helped support her once more before starting to walk "Come on, we need to keep walking. We can rest once we get away from here."
