Lucas couldn’t help but chuckle, quickly glancing behind him to see if Xander had caught up. ”Too bad!” he joked. He turned back around, nearing the other side of the field. He was almost there, just a little farther. His eyes widened in surprise as he pulled him back. "That was unfair," he said with a small pout, crossing his arms.

[wolf?]

Xander chuckled at Lucas's little pout session, rolling his eyes, "Says the boy that ran off before the race even started." He pointed out, "Now that was unfair!" he said with a smile, giving the boy a light shove towards the doors, "Good luck at the game by the way."

Lucas let out a small chuckle as he said that. ”But still,” he mumbled, still crossing his arms. He didn’t have much to say about that— after all, he did run ahead. ”And for that... Well..” he tapped his foot against the ground as he thought about what to say. ”You’re right though,” he continued with a small shrug of his shoulders. He then gave a small smile. ”Thanks, good luck to you too.” He turned around and walked into the locker room. He couldn’t help but be somewhat upset that their conversation had ended. But then again, he could just talk to him after the game ended.

Wolf watched as he went into the proper locker room before running back to the coach, noticing that a few of his teammates had already been out waiting for him, they gave him a perplexed stare as he reached them and all he had to say was, "The guy was lost, what else should I have done?" they all gave a nod to the pseudo-explanation and went back to getting a together game plan. They went over positions and strategies for both offensive and defensive situations as they waited for the referees to blow the starting whistle.

Lucas decided to quickly change, knowing he still had to meet up with his coach and teammates in order to discuss some techniques and strategies to use during the game. He started to stuff his clothes into his bag, and changed into different clothing. He slipped off his shoes, and slipped into his cleats, stuffing away his bag and shoes away. He exited the locker room, jogging to his team as he gave them all a small smile. The coach went over the positions for certain scenarios that would happen, as well as what to do. Lucas started to space off, waiting for the starting whistle. He then started to wonder what to do after the game. Maybe he'd invite some teammates over to go eat somewhere or to hangout. He pushed the thought away and continued to listen to the coach.

Wolf and his team had finished going over strategies and positions just moments before the whistle was blown, running out to the field, his starting position for this game had been goalie. He put on his gloves and stretched a bit before the game had truly started, watching as people started to file into the bleachers.

Lucas' team had finished discussing strategies a couple moments after the whistle blew. He took a deep breath and made his way towards the field, receiving a few pat on the backs from his teammates. The starting position he received was striker, perhaps one of his favorite positions to play out in the field. He turned to face the bleachers, watching as people would fill up the empty seats. He scanned the bleachers, and gave a small wave as he saw his parents, who waved back and gave him a big smile as if to say, 'good luck'. He smiled back, then returned his attention back to the game, looking at the opposing team's positions. He noticed that their team captain was the goalkeeper, and grinned. 'If anything, this will be an interesting match.' he thought to himself as he got ready.

By the time the bleachers were filled and the refs blew the whistle, Wolf was zoned in and ready to play. There was only one thing that could distract him now. Well, more like one person. And that was Lucas. He was playing as striker in this match, as he did quite often in their other matches. Wolf tried his best to not let his gaze drift to the opposing team's captain as the ball was kicked into play, but it was difficult. Lucas was a great athlete, and Wolf could only dream of being closer to him.

Focused on the game, Lucas exerted his effort as he played. This game was against his team's biggest rival - he had too much pride to lose against them. He watched as his teammates passed, the ball running towards it and tried to kick it into the goal. Please get into the goal, he hoped as the ball was sent flying towards the net.

Wolf didn't want to let his team down, but geez was that boy a distraction. He saw as Lucas kicked the ball towards the goal and ran as fast as he could, jumping to catch it, or at least push it out of the way of the goal. His fingertips just barely knock the ball, but it was just enough to set it off course and over the net instead of in.
