"Max just leave me alone."He half mumbled half wheezed as he stayed curled up in a ball on the floor his eyes shut tightly as he rocked back and forth tears slipping over his cheeks, "I'm fine. Truly go enjoy the party."He called out and tried to cover his coughing. He sighed. And kept himself curled up as his mother came roaring down the hall and pounded on the door nearly giving Max from the way, Jameson Amelia Sinclair! Open this door right now!!! How could you say that?! You ungrateful brat! I organized this entire party for you and you act like an ungrateful child!! Open this door! Behind the door James moved against the back wall, he wasn't going to be the one to tell her it was unlocked"No mother." With a groan of frustration she stormed down the hall nearly shoving Max from her path

Max was about to answer James when his mother came barreling down the hall and began yelling at the other prince through the door. He stood several feet away, muttering under his breath, "What if he didn't want the party.,,,? Besides, you're more of a brat than he'll ever be." He made certain the queen couldn't hear him though, and he quickly stepped out of the way when she came barreling past again. He went to the door again and knocked lightly. "James, come on...... let me in, please. I'm not leaving from this spot until you do," he stated, not trying to be rude or mean, but not willing to leave the other alone right now.

James sighed and stood walking to the door an arm wiping across his eyes as he slowly opened it, "You should go home. We aren't worth your time Maximilen. I'm not worth the energy you'd have to use in order to be married to me. I don't want to you down for the rest of your life because you won't trust me after this Maximilen I can't! I don't want to do that to you! I won't! So please please please just go home. I promise our troops will support you. You can take half of our troops back with you. Maximilen please just go." His eyes pleaded with Max as he gripped the edge of the door tightly tears running over his cheeks as he bit back coughs and sobs. He knew he cared about Max, even loved him but he couldn't leave Max to deal with him. He didn't want to be the prince's emotional baggage for the rest of their days together

Max hated seeing the other like this and his feeling softened some as he listened to the other prince and watched him try to hold back coughs and tears. When the other finished though, Max just shook his head stubbornly. "No James. I'm not leaving unless you come with me. You and your country taught me so much in just a few days, and now it's my turn. I want to show you so many things and teach you as much as you taught me. Please...... just one week in Casparius. That's all I'm asking of you. After that, if you still don't want to work something out, then you can come back and I'll stay there and we'll walk away as nothing more than distant allies......" Max hadn't looked this determined or pleading since he had arrived in the Southern Forest Mountains. It was quite a change in attitude, though it didn't affect his gentleness as he reached up and placed a hand against the other's cheek, using his thumb to swipe some of his tears away. "Please Jameson......"

Jameson sniffed and coughed as the other was speaking as he felt more tears pour down his cheeks, Max still cared or at least wanted to try and work whatever they had out...Jameson felt the other prince brush away his tears and he placed his hand over Max's gently moving his thumb back and forth as the tears slowly stopped pouring over his cheeks, "Ok. Ok. I'll come spend the week in Casparius. I want to try and worn this out with you Max. I do...but there's always the what if...what if my parents make some bold move whil we're gone against us?! They're not above that at all you saw my mother we have to get out of here."The prince was obviously worried as he opened the door fully and pulled Max in shouting his door and then began the panicked pacing back and forth the breathing labored and worried, "We could leave tonight. Couldn't we? Sneak out? The party isn't over plenty of people are here. I could get us a carriage. Max what do you think?"He finally stopped pacing and took a hold of the other prince's hands gently as he tried to even out his breathing so he wouldn't faint

Max nodded as James slowly began to stop crying and agreed to come with him to Casparius. "We'll deal with the 'what if's' when we get to them. Worrying just means you suffer twice," Max tried to reassure and calm the other as he was pulled into the room. He remained in the same spot as James began to pace, and he watched the prince with a concerned, worrying expression. He took the other's hands when James walked over, before pulling the other a little closer and drawing him into a gentle hug. "Well..... first off, I want to help get you calmer. It's not going to help any if you have a panic attack or somethig. And secondly..... we could probably leave tonight. It wouldn't be a problem. If you can get us a carriage or even just a pair of horses, I can get us home. But I won't say we have to leave tonight. I don't know your parents or this country as well as you do James....."

James wrapped his arms tightly around Max. His eyes shut to hold back the few of the remanong tears. It was going to be ok, they would Be ok. He claimed his breathing down and finally let out one last sigh, "Alright. We'll leave tonight, by carriage will be easier because it won't be noticeable. Once we're out of the country my parents cannot do anything." He kept Max in the hug for a few minutes longer before pushing away his eyes still red rimmed but no tears fell. He sighed softly squeezing Max's hands gently, "You go pack I'll get the carriage ready."He kissed the other prince gently on the cheek and dashed from the room down to the stable house to talk to the servants he knew would help explaining the situation he quickly gained access to a carriage and horses as well as a driver. With that he went back upstairs and packed his things with the party still in full swing in the ballroom keeping everyone readily distracted. James grabbed his diary and tucked it in his bag. He then walked to the door that adjoined the rooms and knocked, "Max you ready to go?"He asked peeking through the door

Max again nodded as the other said they would be leaving that night and returned the squeeze of his hand before going to pack as he had been instructed. He had been sent here with several bags of clothes and other things, but in the time James left him alone, he grabbed only the most important things and tucked it all into one of the smaller bags. He'd leave everything else here. It could all be replaced once they got back home. He had just slung his bag onto his shoulder when he heard the other prince's knocking and question of if he was ready. He looked over at James and nodded as he met his gaze. "Yeah. I'm good to go," he answered before going over to the other prince.
